San Diego, CA SDSWS Anniversary Party May 17th!

I want to volunteer to have the club anniversary party at my house in Escondido. I was thinking a weekend would be good and really wanted it to be on Memorial Day (to celebrate the release of the original SW movie). However, I was informed yesterday of a family obligation that weekend and I know a lot of people might have plans that weekend.

So, I'm left with these dates in May: 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, 24th, or 25th. Take a look at your calendars folks, let's see what works best for everyone.

I'm planning on providing hamburgers/hot dogs/buns (not mine personally)/condiments (not you-know-whats - get your mind out of the gutter Brian!) and probably some "generic" sodas like cola, lemon-lime, orange, etc. If I have the funds, I may also spring for a big cake with our logo on it. The rest of the "feast" is up to you, but a big, store-bought tub of potato salad or chips or a veggie platter would work.

So let's start picking a date and see how many want to come. Also, should we limit guests to JUST the SDSWS or leave it open for our fellow FF clubs? I'm up for either option.

I have no preference for dates at this time. I think we should keep the anniversary celebration to SDSWS members and their family and guests only however.

Right now weekends of May look open. There is a birthday and wedding ann in the family that we'll be needing to do something for but it's a totally flexable thing so we can simply do something on a day that's not the party.

 

Brian's birthday is the 24th? I sense a disturbance in the Force.

Now he's gonna say the party is for HIM!

 

I think he'll want his OWN seperate event/party in honor of himself.

 

name the date, I'll be there. Everyone there for the first meeting NEEDS to be there!!!! It's a moral imperative!

 

All officers have to be present... it is MANDATORY... no getting into car accidents... no getting sick... no excuses... I will only accept a Death Certificate from the Coroner as an excuse... we will be having an awards ceremony of sorts as part of the anniversary celebration of the club.

 

Woo, since I'm not an officer I'm not obligated...phew I can rest easy now...

Well you are a VIP Donny... that is just as good... you designed our banner, and you directed our fanfilm... you should probably be an officer as well.

hopefully I'll be there if the party is late May, I'm still fighting in the Clone Wars. due to return to the Jedi Temple in May or should I say SITH Temple. see you soon guys.

 

I may just have to pass on this one. May is a busy month for me. Sounds like it will be fun, though. Good thing I'm not an officer or VIP. Sometimes, being a lil indian and not a chief has it's advantages.

Okay, well that settles it... we have to hold it late May so that Matt and Luis can attend. Good... gives me more time to get what I have planned ready.

 

So now it's down to the 24th or 25th.
