After a bit of a stressful, and thus unproductive, weekend, I am happy to report that I've managed to make some WIPmonth progress over the past few days!

• I wrote another 601 words on my Starset Roulette fic for a total of 1,026 words, thus completing my goal!
  
• And I, erm, wrote a whopping 4,564 words on A Kingdom Where My Love Can Stand, for a total of 8,563 words, which rather quite obliterated my goal.
• For my review goal, I left feedback on The Book of Gand, by Findswoman (though as it was a review for the first part, and not the fourth, please let me know if that doesn't count, and I will pick another story from the list! ); The Legend of Pelican Mothers, by devilinthedetails; Beneath the Gods of the Bright Sky, by ViariSkywalker; and The Taking of the Firstborns, by Chyntuck - which brings me up to 5 out of 10.

Now, I just have to nudge my distracted muse back into a galaxy far, far away - and I think that indulging in reading some mighty good fic today may have more than helped!

Here's all the hugs and encouragement to everyone who is still chipping away at your goals! You've got this, friends!

 

@Pandora @Mira_Jade @earlybird-obi-wan way to go, all three of you! That is some seriously fantastic work, and I'm so glad this challenge has played a role in spurring it on. You are now fully updated in the index, check marks and all! And yes, @Mira_Jade , I am totally fine with counting your absolutely awesome review (thanks so much) of BOG part 1, given that it's all part of the same long story. (Though I admit to being slightly biased, of course! )

And I have added a check mark for myself, as well: I managed to complete chapter 5 of The Book of Gand, Part the Fourth just this morning. It ended up clocking in at approximately 3518 words, and given the length compared to other chapters of the story I may split it into two chapters, but I am not going to count that as completing my second "finish chapter" goal; I still plan to tackle another chapter this month (though let's see if that actually materializes, given RL, holidays, etc.).

So now, as we are about to embark on the second half of this WIP Month, my wish for all you fab writers and readers is...

I have finished another one shot that can count toward my large goal of completing multiple one shots:

A Young Marsh-Wiggle's First Trip to Beaversdam

Now I should really focus on finishing Fire in Her Veins or a chapter of Diary of a Very Sympathetic Padawan next.

That is what I should do. Whether or not I actually do it remains to be determined, because my muse is an eternally obstinate creature for me to wrestle with

 

@Raissa Baiard what great progress on Strict, Unbending Rules! That’s definitely something to celebrate, and I’ve made a note of the new word count in your index!

@devilinthedetails wonderful! You’re now at three (3) one-shots; mighty fine work.

@earlybird-obi-wan congratulations on completing your Cat Clan goal! And it looks like you’re pretty darn close on your goal for A Need for Protecting. Not long at all now!

@Gabri_Jade it’s never too late! I’ve recorded your total; during WIP Month (and not just) every little bit is something to celebrate!

@Chyntuck I'm so sorry to hear this has been such a rough week. It says a lot that you were able to put in a burst to bring The Mists of Mehr to completion—especially given that that story was resurrected from a while ago. Big congratulations on that!

And as for me, I’m now 350 words into the next chapter of The Book of Gand. Not too shabby for a busy (for me) holiday weekend!
