Seven days.......

....till Van Helsing comes out!(had you going for a second eh?)

Now I've been looking forward to this film for a year now, ever since I opened an issue of EMPIRE and saw that first concept art!

Hugh Jackman.......Dracula.....Wolf Man........funky weapons......what could be bad about that?

Well, apparently, according some people who have suposedly seen it, it's rubbish!
I'm almost starting to lose faith in this film, which is really worrying me! I'm just wondering if anyone here has seen anyything of Van Helsing to help me know if it is good, or indeed bad!


Though me and Livi will proberly see it regardless of how bad it is, but if it is a bad film that might taint the enjoyment slightly(though I do sometimes like bad films....like LXG and The Matrix sequels)!

Concerning Van Helsing, my favourite review of the film so far described it as a ??floating turd in the sky??.

Have you seen the TV ad for it Twinky? Are you really willing to listen to those dodgy Romanian accents for two long hours?

If so, then you?re a braver sci-fi /fantasy fan than I.

But, off the record, why did they have to alter the Abraham Van Helsing in Dracula??? I think the trailer sums my thoughts up best:

I love the trailer too and am going to see this on the 8th (I think).

Don't listen to what anyone else has to say just go and see it and make up your own mind, that's what I'm going to do

 

I do find it a little strange that so many people have been to advance screenings of Van Helsing, and so many of them hate it!


Maybe it's a new form or marketing, anti-hype!

You get people to go around saying that the film is terrible, then when people see that it's good, they'll be really amazed!

Ya never know!

 

I tend to ignore hype and especially critics. I either like a film or i don't on my own, won't be put off by others.

Anyway, i for one am looking forward to seeing this a great deal!!!

Damn, and I thought this was going to be a thread about that tv show, 7 Days, that rocked, I loved it!

Helsing, my goodness, if that movie dissapoints me I'll be heartbroken.

 

So I'm guessing nobody understood the real reason why I put "Seven Days" as the title, then said "had you going for a second eh?" when I talked about VH!

Well EMPIRE have given VH 2 stars......NOW I'm worried!

Looks like it'll be:

a)A film that you either love or you hate!

and

b)A film where you have to forget about the storyline and just have FUN!

It appears that I will either enjoy this as much as I enjoyed The Mummy, which was quite a lot! Or I will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed LXG, which was quite a little bit, but still liking it!

I'll just find out for myselkf friday!

 

I never trust reviews I read.

I thought Kill Bill 1 & 2 looked very uninteresting, but most reviews gave them 5 stars.

Still won't make me go and see it
