Ok, tell me how this idea sounds...

I've been working on 'adapting' Macbeth to the SW universe. So when you read it, it will sound like a Corellian play.

So this play is written by Viliam Starspeare, and it tells the story of the 'False' King of Corellia. Who happens to be a very distant anscestor of Han Solo. (I found this in the SW unofficial encyclopedis.)

Will any of you guys read this?

Hehe... I heard of this idea before. I saw a fanfilm which adapts Macbeth to Star Wars, but IMO, it wasn't very well done. It was basically a combination of lines from Macbeth and Star Wars and not an adaptation of Macbeth. This would be cool.

Here's something I wrote off the top of my head... (pathetically based of the "Tomorrow" speech after Lady Macbeth's death)

    Coruscant, and Coruscant, and Coruscant
Creeps in this petty orbit from year to year,
And all our droids have lighted lights.
The way to dusty death. Out, out, stupid driod!
Life's but a pathetic Gungan, a poor Jawa that
Begs and steals his hour upon the stage, and
Then is heard no more. It's a tale told by a 3PO,
Full of sound effects - signifying nothing.

'Tis not in "iambic pentameter" nor thou prose in Middle English, but thoust do not care.

you gonna call it "The Republican/Imperial play" since you can't say "[insert real name of the scottish play]" in a theater.? ;)

Well, I've been trying to get it to work in Iambic Pentameter. So far I've got the first scene done. As I didn't chance much, because frankly I think not much needs to be changed. So instead of something like: "Paddock calls." I say "The Force Beckons" or something like that. The meter in the first Scene is confusing. I don't think it's Iambic Pentameter is it?

And I've decided not to have it take place on Corellia. :p Maybe Tatooine...

Hmmm... Lady Macbeth seduced by the Dark Side? Good idea!

Does anyone else out there have ideas? I'm a bit stuck right now...

I plan on working on this during the holidays, so expect to see it up on the boards in January or February.

LOL! I was planning to have it be a bit more mysterious than that though. Clever idea however! Maybe I could do a humorus version too!
