Basically final moments of each character.. I was not expecting that they will kill ALL of them tbh
Final Vader scene.. Not that I was crying but I had so many emotions.. smile (that he is so badass), fear, chills.. it was so epic!!! One of his finest moments from his every appearance (books/comics/movies/tv shows)

I had to go to the bathroom so I missed the scene with Jyn and hologram of Galen
All deaths- especially K2, Galen, Chirrut, Baze and of course Cassian and Jyn as well

That hit me in the feels, no lie.

Jyn and hologram of Galen was the moment hit me the hardest of all ! The way her father talks to her was beautiful, and her acting was 5 stars.

 

I didnt expect this movie to hit me in the feels so hard. Heartwrenching stuff in the third act.. I'll need some time to process it all really..

 

There were meant to be emotional moments and they tried really hard but...the characters were not deep enough for me to be involved.

- Bodhi's death after he says "This is for you Galen"
- Chirrut's death after giving himself over to the force
- Jyn and Cass dying next to eachother after giving the rebellion a chance, especially after her "We'll take this chance and the next" speech earlier

Wellll.... That was Han'd a bit for me. I knew it was coming and so I had that moment of "Yeah, I know how this turns out" that I got back in TFA.

-All the Rogues final moments, especially K-2SO

-That final Vader scene. My god the chills.

 

I am so curious about this perspective. Primarily because characterization has always been very thin/ economical/ short-handed in Star Wars, from the OT right through TFA.

In they context, I felt RO had some of the deeper characters across her films.

Was it because they tried to amp up the emotional elements, as past SW films haven't, that made you feel it was unmoving?

I was kind of hoping a U Wing would swoop in and pick up the two of them on the beach. I knew it wouldn't happen, but I wanted it.

When Saw Died that really hit me mostly because I had seen how far he'd fallen since TCW

Jyn and Cassian getting Hiroshima'ed. Wow. I'd wanted most or all of the main characters to die, if this movie were to be done right, but I wasn't sure if Disney would go that far. Boy was I wrong.
K2 dying, in some ways, hit me harder than any of the human deaths, perhaps because Force Awakens made me start thinking of droids as puppies. Those humans got into this of their own volition, but the droid was just tagging along after his master. Poor little pup.
Vader's final scene - simultaneously terrifying and thrilling.
