Only a young man when we first see him, Reddjak from Droids (1986) issue 3 would eventually get out of custody and reinvent himself fifteen years later as Crimson Jack. He'd even grow out his beard where before he only maintained a handlebar moustache.

The device used to keep the priestess Selestrine alive was known as a Simus Box.

Presumably he started dyeing his hair and beard to match his name for the sake of brand synergy.

I imagine he's one of those folks who's got dark red hair that looks black when cut short, but as it gets longer and more sun (star?) exposure it reddens.

I keep forgetting that the Sunriders were intended to be a protagonist in the Kotor games before eventually being replaced by Bastilla. It does create this interesting thread, doesn't it? There are multiple points after the comic where Vima could have been active in the background (or died). The Mandalorian Wars, the Jedi Civil War, the slaughter on Kataar, etc. Imagine being lucky enough to survive all of that, in addition to the events of Kotor 2-----suddenly the Vima would be one of the last surviving Jedi in the galaxy sans Mical/Brianna.

He was known as Reddjak alias Red Jack until he secretly joined Crimson Dawn and became Crimson Jack!

Thx to The Book of Boba Fett I headcanon that in AOTC the Tusken did not kidnap and torture Shmi Skywalker at all but saved her from other malcontents that on Palpatines orders tried to hurt her.

They tied her up to support her recovery cause she was too hurting to lie down on the salty sand with all her open wounds.

The malcontents informed Cliegg and joined the Tusken raid that failed. Anakin went next and... killed her saviors!

Here is a headcanon my friend Sander de Lange came up with:

The Leveler creatures the Nihil used to kill and calcify Jedi turning them to stone and dust was previously used on Malachor, explaining all the Jedi turned to statues like after a volcano eruption.

Other lifelike statues also may have been related to Leveler incidents like MOTS lifelike cursed statues that attack you ingame or others.

The Leveler creature may be from Myrkrr and related to Ysalamiri in its ability to manipulate Midichlorians to dampen the Forceusers abilities to the point of loosing life and midichlorians drained, which may be its nutrition akin to the Anzatis lifesoup.

    My headcanons (mostly ST):

    - While the New Republic's leadership was gathered on Hosnian Prime and subsequently destroyed by Starkiller, its military was fractured, but not completely destroyed, and held a stalemate with the First Order on the Core Worlds. However, due to her connections to Darth Vader and Kylo Ren, Leia and her Resistance are treated as pariah by the New Republic, who seek to do things their own way.

    - Rey is descended from a genetic being created by Palpatine and the Sith Eternal, that was cloned from Luke's severed hand. The combination of both Skywalker blood (through genetic material from Luke's hand) and the history of the Skywalker lightsaber grants Rey her powerful Force abilities upon coming into contact with it.

    - Rey's strandcast father's name is Jake Palpatine. Contrary to some sources, Palpatine didn't plan for Rey's father to sire a daughter, and only finds out that he had within the same mission that Ochi was sent to kill him and Rey's mother.

    - Leia tells Rey that Kylo Ren is her and Han's son, and that Han was trying to bring him back home at her request. This would take place before Rey departs for Ahch-To to bring back Luke. This makes sense of Rey initially holding contempt for Kylo, but later reaching out to him out of respect for Luke/Han/Leia in a vain attempt to return him to his family.

    - Kylo tempts Rey with a place by his side as his apprentice in TLJ, continuing a thread in TFA where Kylo tells Rey that she needs a teacher, and that he can show her the ways of the Force.

    - The Dyad between Rey and Kylo is an artificial and unnatural one facilitated by a string of appearingly coincidental, but actually preordained circumstances. Neither Snoke nor Palpatine know how to force the create of a Dyad, but their machinations had created unintentionally.

    - First Order conditioning and brainwashing is harder to break than most realize. Most Stormtroopers would prefer a mouth full of cyanide than to forfeit their loyalty to their glorious Supreme Leader.

    - Finn has undergone a "brainscrape" in the past.

    - Phasma has covered for Finn's non-conformity in the past.

    - Finn's consistent acts of non-conformity often led to him being punished with sanitation duties.

    - In TLJ, Finn still didn't want to join the Resistance, uncertain of throwing his lot in with them so soon after leaving the First Order. Many in the Resistance are still wary of him, calling him a traitor, and making him know he isn't welcome. Finn stays because of the people who do trust him, and ultimately proves his dissenters wrong when he attempted to sacrifice himself for their survival on Crait.

    - It took time for Kylo to truly become leader of the First Order during the one-year gap, requiring him to use the Knights of Ren to keep some of his detractors in line.

    - Not all of Luke's students died when Ben destroyed the Jedi Temple. Luke had many students that would regularly be in and out of the temple, taking missions, and visiting other worlds. However, Ben as Kylo Ren, spent the following years hunting them down with his Knights and the First Order, earning his name as the "Jedi Killer".

    - The Knights of Ren were a consistent antagonist for Luke's Jedi Order in the years leading to Ben Solo's fall.

    - The Knights of Ren turn on Ben to avenge their fallen brother and master, Kylo Ren. Ben Solo defeats them not only because he's more powerful than them in the Force, but also because of how well he knows them and their tactics.

Okay, here are some of my modified headcanons, based on what I've posted in the past. Keep it mind. Sections are: Canon, Visions, Legends.

    The Phantom Menace
    • Ralrracheen, Ralrra to his friends, was serving as Yarua's aide at the time of the Invasion of Naboo. He was present during the Special Session of the Republic Congress when Queen Amidala addressed the Senate over the Trade Federation's invasion of her homeworld.
    • The Zabrak consist of several subspecies -- one is the hair-less red-skinned like Maul, the hair-less yellow skinned like Savage Opress and the Nightbrothers of Dathomir, the dark-hair light skinned like Eeth Koth and the dark-hair dark-skinned like Agen Kolar.
    Attack of the Clones
    • While Mace Windu was accompanied by Plo Koon, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Saesee Tiin, Shaak Ti, Even Piell, Adi Gallia, Coleman Trebor and Eeth Koth to lead the Geonosis task force, Yoda and Oppo Rancisis journeyed to Kamino to see the clone army. Depa Billaba remained at the Jedi Temple with Jocasta Nu, Ali-Alann and other non-combat Jedi.
    • Among the Jedi to fight in the arena battle included Belsed-Qan Idan, Jabidus Inspra, Winso Bykart, Ma'kis'shaalas, Chellemi Chuovvick, Tassida Judrelle, Talila Wedon and Wollwi Enan. Ma'kis was the only confirmed member of this list to survive.
    • When the gunships arrived to evacuate the Jedi survivors, all six initially landed to pick up the circle but two of them moved to the stands to pick up several other Jedi trapped by droids. One of these gunships was carrying Tarados Gon and two as yet unnamed Jedi (having dropped off Eeth Koth and Sora Bulq at an assembly area before proceeding onwards) when it was shot down by enemy fire as Mace Windu, Yoda, Ki-Adi-Mundi and Kit Fisto witnessed.
    Clone Wars
    • During the Clone Wars, the corporations that signed the treaty with the Separatists initially led them despite their open ties owing to neutrality causes in their by-laws with the Republic. This led to great confusion over why the leaders such as Nute Gunray, Passel Argente and Shu Mai weren't dismissed while San Hill and Wat Tambor were and replaced by puppets who still answered to Dooku. Eventually, after Palpatine gained control of the Banking Clan, the by-laws of neutrality were finally abandoned, particularly after the Techno Union were put into a position that devastated Tibrin and saw Gume Saam turn against the organisation he represented.
    • Mother Talzin isn't Maul's biological mother. He was actually the son of Zabrak spacers from Iridonia where he was born but spent little time there as they constantly travelled. Eventually they ended up crashing on Dathomir before he was even a year old and Talzin took him in and raised him as her child, eventually letting him train with the Nightbrother tribe until Darth Sidious took him away.
    • Maul was indeed killed on Naboo by Obi-Wan Kenobi when he was sliced in half. His body was recovered and dispatched back to Coruscant on Chancellor Palpatine's orders, only for the transport to be intercepted by mercenaries hired by Mother Talzin to bring it to Dathomir. Using her magicks, she successfully resurrected her "son" but being brought back from to insanity and, after killing the mercenaries stole their transport and ended up making a blind jump that took him to Lotho Minor (his delusions made him believe he went there directly from Naboo on an automated freighter [but all ships were grounded and deactivated under Trade Federation occupation]). Talzin had intended to restore his whole body but the legs rotted in the years before he was found and brought back to Dathomir by Savage Opress.
    • Mother Talzin had a vision that forsaw the doom of the Nightsisters at the hands of the Sith, thus she attempted to manipulate Darths Sidious and Tyranus through Asajj Ventress then Savage Opress to destroy themselves. Little did she realise that she was ultimately the one responsible for the destruction of her clan. It was better if she had done nothing.
    • The Battle of Umbara came about when Separatist-back rebels seized control of the government and the military. The Republic was sent to reinstall the loyalist government, though things got complicated really quickly.
    • Sometime prior to the Defence of Cato Neimoidia and the Bombing of the Jedi Temple, a group of Force-sensitive individuals that worshipped the Jedi as deities abducted Barriss Offee and several other Jedi and replaced them with imposters. Their plan was to stage a number of attacks that would force the Republic to not only remove the Order from the war effort, but banish them as well. The plan was eventually discovered after an attack on a Jedi-friendly senator by one of these imposters at the same time the real Jedi got back in contact with the Temple and the Council and Republic Intelligence tracked down the group and imprisoned them while rescuing their missing comrades, including Barriss (who was subsequently knighted and dispatched to Felucia to track down Shu Mai and eventually died in Order 66).
    • Queen Neeyutnee and Boss Lyonie were assassinated on Naboo sometime after the failed attempt to abduct the Chancellor by Cad Bane and Moralo Eval. Among those caught in the attack included several of Padme's old colleagues during her time as monarch as well as Darred Janren, Sola Naberrie's husband.
    • Oppo Rancisis and Sora Bulq were among those to perish in the Siege of Saleucami, though the former's body was never confirmed to have been found as the base was completely incinerated. This led to the assumption that Rancisis was still alive post-Order 66 (or at least someone who closely resembled him).
    Revenge of the Sith
    • During her pregnancy with the twins, Padme accidentally became Force sensitive, or at least attuned enough to be linked closely with Anakin. As to the twins, Leia had awoken in the womb and subconsciously connected to the Force enough to suppress or dampen her brother's that lingered until Luke finally awoke when he was much older.
    • The Jedi Council were very much aware of Anakin and Padme's marriage and while they should've reprimanded him for it, though agreed that Skywalker was a very unorthodox Jedi considering his upbringing and with the war required his skills as a leader and pilot. The Council nevertheless agreed to talk to him about it and his future within the Order after the war ended but never would due to his turn to the dark side of Force and the subsequent purge.
    • Yaddle was in charge of the Jedi training complex on Kamparas after she stood down from the Council. During the Clone Wars, several youngling clans including the Bear Clan were moved there to keep them safe. When Order 66 occurred, the clone troopers stationed on the world made their way to the training facility to wipe out the Jedi present, only for Yaddle, her fellow caretakers and the younglings to have vanished, never to be seen again.
    • During his duel, Palpatine jumped into the senatorial pod he used as a senator and was the place where it began thirteen years ago. It would've been ironic if he had been defeated by Yoda in the exact spot that triggered these events. Palpatine managed to hold in, if barely, but it was considered an ill omen by the superstitious for many years.
    Tarkin
    • Rear Admiral Jerjerrod is the grandfather of Tiaan Jerjerrod, future Moff of the Quanta sector and commander of the ill-fated Death Star II.
    • General Tagge is the uncle of Cassio Tagge, future High General and member of the ill-fated Death Star command triumvirate.
    Lost Stars
    • Ciena Ree would never end up on trial, instead being released after New Republic investigators found nothing worth charging her with. She was released from custody and returned to Jelucan, which had been freed from the Empire (with the First Wavers being released from their oaths by Mas Amedda and his Ruling Council) and joined the New Republic. Thane Kyrell and Kendy Idele would leave the service and together, the three aided in the formation of Jelucan's planetary defence force.
    • Grand Moff Rannd's fleet was destroyed through sabotage, with a comatose Nash Windrider being among the few survivors located by New Republic rescue teams. He was eventually diagnosed with schizophrenia thanks to the clashing of his Alderaanian upbringing and his indoctrination by the Empire led to his breakdown. He was released into his friends' custody on Jelucan and began to recover somewhat, though there were days when he was a danger to those around him and himself.
    Rebels
    • Ezra Bridger would often hang out with Zare Leonis on Garel between missions until Phoenix Cell was forced to flee the planet. It is uncertain if either reconnected prior to the former's disappearance at the Liberation of Lothal.
    • The three Hammerhead corvettes in Phoenix Cell designated P1, P2 and P3 are named (in order): Lightmaker (would later be destroyed at the Battle of Scarif in 0 BBY), Duchess Senna (would later be destroyed at the Battle Atollon in 2 BBY) and Amity's Arrow (would participate in the Battles of Atollon and Scarif in 2 BBY and 0 BBY and survive its two sister ships).
    Thrawn: Treasons
    • The Chiss Ascendancy fell apart shortly after the Liberation of Lothal and the disappearance of Grand Admiral Thrawn, with squabbles and arguments spiralling into a civil war. This left them vulnerable to invasion from a race known only as the Far Outsiders, who swept over the Chiss worlds (among other worlds in the Unknown Regions) and either wiped out or enslaved the populations before moving on. When the Imperial remnants began fleeing into the Unknown Regions following the end of the Galactic Civil War, a majority of the powerful civilisations including the Chiss were gone, leaving the region ripe for conquest.
    Rogue One
    • Green Squadron was led by an as-yet unnamed female pilot during the Battle of Scarif. It is unknown if she survived to lead the squadron at the Battle of Yavin four days later.
    • Two of the EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigates present at the Battle of Scarif were the Deviant and the Heartbound. The Deviant would be destroyed by the Devastator at the conclusion of the battle while the Heartbound would escape to hyperspace passed the Star Destroyer with the few remaining other ships.
    • The CR90 corvette Liberator participated in the Battle of Scarif and was among the three corvettes that jumped to hyperspace before the Devastator arrived.
    A New Hope
    • Aside from Leia, the surviving Tantive IV crew were shipped off to the Imperial Security Bureau office on Arkanis for interrogation. Their ultimate fate is currently uncertain.
    • Rumours circulate throughout Mos Eisley that local bureaucrat Jerriko is a 1,000-year-old Anzati due to similarities between his mutant appearance and the species. However, Jerriko is human but doesn't do anything to stop the wild stories. There is a real Anzati called Dannik Jerriko running around the galaxy, however, but he rarely travels to Tatooine.
    • Lieutenant Oxixo was a flight leader for the 29th Squadron and would lead the attack on the escaping Millennium Falcon. His brother would go to serve at the Battle of Endor as a TIE interceptor pilot and had risen to the rank of lieutenant.
    The Empire Strikes Back
    • Among the thirteen GR-75 medium transports to escape included the Bearing Lifter, Bright Nebula (later evacuated Folor Base in 7 ABY), Dutyfree (one of the transports in the Redemption's task force at the rendezvous point), Jowa, Kucedre, Quantum Storm and Thon's Orchard. (Transports with registries ATS-0014, ATS-0021, ATS-0022, ATS-0157 and ATS-0416 likely belongs to those above).
    • In addition to the Bright Hope, several RM-09 shuttles departed Hoth with remaining personnel under the escort of Wedge Antilles, Wes Janson, Thane Kyrell, Yendor and several other pilots. They had departed with little trouble from the Imperials, who had been ordered to move on the Millennium Falcon at Darth Vader's orders.
    • Toryn Farr would go on to serve as a senior controller for the New Republic High Command, serving with General Rieekan.
    • Commander Brandei, who serves as logistics officer aboard the Executor, is the nephew of the older Captain Brandei, who commanded the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Judicator.
    • It took almost three weeks for the Millennium Falcon to travel from the Anoat system to the Bespin system due to the backup hyperdrive and Han and Chewie's failed attempts to repair the main drive without the proper equipment.
    • Luke's training with Yoda only occurred over a three-and-a-half week period at an accelerated rate than standard, with the former (already a quick study as he was) being able to pick up everything very quickly that impressed the old master greatly even after his failure in the dark side cave.
    Return of the Jedi
    • The MC80 winged Liberty-type Star Cruiser Restoration was commanded by Admiral Firmus Nantz during the Battle of Endor. Admirals Ragab, Kalback and Voon Massa were also present at the Battle of Endor, with Kalback (present at the briefing on Home One standing between Major Haash'n and another Mon Calamari officer [then-Commander Onoma]) commanding the MC80 winged Liberty-type Star Cruiser Justice while Ragab commanded one of the unnamed MC80 wingless Liberty-type Star Cruisers and Massa an unseen Duros-designed heavy cruiser.
    • Lieutenant Sesfan was one of the four Mon Calamari officers present on the bridge of Home One during the Battle of Endor, sitting at the console opposite Captain Verrack.
    • Admiral Hiram Drayson was present at the briefing on Home One, standing to the left of General Walex Blissex behind Chancellor Mon Mothma.
    • Mon Mothma retreated to Haven Base on Arbra to await word on the outcome of the Battle of Endor. Also present included her cabinet and other dignitaries as well as General Carlist Rieekan and Admiral Hiram Drayson. The native Hoojibs also aided in protecting the Alliance's non-vital ships scattered across the planet and in orbit.
    • In the midst of the battle, GX1 short haulers and U-wings landed rebel reinforcements on the Forest Moon of Endor to link-up with General Han Solo at the bunker, though wouldn't make it there it time. Several of these units were led by Generals Brenn Tantor and Tyr Taskeen and Majors Panno and Morgan Q. Raventhorn, with the latter's squad being largely wiped out by Inferno Squad in their escape. The reinforcements were also responsible for bringing Freerunners and Forest Ranger vehicles to the surface. After the battle, they secured the captured landing platforms for Alliance shuttles and fighters as well as internment camps for the surviving Imperial captives until they were transferred off the surface.
    • General Veers was place in command of the Endor garrison by Darth Vader, though remained aboard the Executor as he found that Colonel Dyer, Commander Igar and Major Hewex were rather competent and didn't require his oversight (Veers did express concern over the native Ewok tribes possibly uniting with the rebels if need be but agreed it was deemed unlikely and dismissed). When the Battle of Endor occurred, Veers was on the auxiliary bridge in contact with the ground forces until comms were lost with the shield. When the combined rebel squadrons attack damaged the back-up engines and Arvel Crynyd's A-wing smashed the main bridge, Veers was unable to prevent the Executor from being caught in the gravity well of the Death Star II and couldn't evacuate before the ship collided with the battle station.
    • Lieutenant Oxixo was the brother of the flight leader that served on the Death Star in 0 BBY as part of the 29th Squadron. By the time of the Battle of Endor, this Oxixo was a flight leader who flew a TIE interceptor. He and his wingmate followed the Millennium Falcon and Wedge's X-wing to the main reactor and was killed when his interceptor failed to outrun the flames.
    Battlefront II
    • Danger Squadron under Shriv Suurgav was present at the Battle of Endor, losing several X-wings in the process. This led to immediate recruitment of Iden Versio and Del Meeko into the unit at the Battle of Naboo three weeks later.
Alphabet Squadron / Shadow Fall / Victory's Price
    • The TIE pilot who rescued Wyl Lark on Jakku was taken prisoner by the New Republic, eventually released after investigators checked his record and found nothing worth charging him with. He returned to his homeworld but stayed in contact with Wyl. When the former A-wing pilot became senator for Polyneus, Wyl asked the ex-TIE pilot to serve as his personal pilot and readily accepted the offer. He is rather smug about his role to other pilots though some are impressed with the pilot's personal loyalty and friendship to Wyl.
Aftermath / Aftermath: Life Debt / Aftermath: Empire's End
    • Wes Janson served as Wedge Antilles' XO in Phantom Squadron. After the Battle of Kashyyyk, he was reassigned to fly shuttles for diplomats and attaches as punishment. He would return to fly at the Battle of Jakku.
    • Crix Madine survived the Liberation Day attacks but ended up in a coma.
    The Force Awakens
    • Ben's full name is actually Ben Organa-Solo, but he and his parents go with Ben Solo.
    • When the First Order destroyed the Hosnian system, they chose not to evacuate their allies still hidden within the Senate and High Command as they had served their purpose prior to the unleashing of Starkiller Base's superweapon. To say they were shocked by this betrayal was an understatement, with Senators Erudo Ro-Kiintor and Carise Sindian (the latter of whom had been unable to convince Arkanis to leave the Republic to join the First Order and had virtually no power after having her title stripped six years prior) among those killed.
    • Whilst Poe Dameron led a flight of twelve to engage at Starkiller Base, Kare Kun led a second wing to distract the fighter groups of several Resurgent-class Star Destroyers in orbit. In this wing included C'ai Threnalli and Theo Maltra.
    The Last Jedi
    • General Ematt was among the many casualties of the Battle of Crait.
    • PZ-4CO was among those to evacuate after the Battle of Crait aboard the Millennium Falcon. She would later serve under General Rieekan at the back-up Resistance base on the Junk Moon of Anoat.
    The Rise of Skywalker
    • When the Citizens' fleet arrived at Exegol, the Sith Eternal forces were taken by complete surprise and lost more than ninety-percent of their TIE Daggers and a third of their Xyston-class Star Destroyers inside of five minutes before Palpatine's Force lightning strike occurred. The blast only knocked out the fleet for less than two minutes, causing damage to several ships including the aged Tantive IV, but it didn't do enough to disable them and every ship returned to the fight. Despite launching their remaining TIE Daggers, which successfully took out some fighters and freighters, the Sith Eternal forces were completely wiped out within twenty minutes, with their Star Destroyers falling to the surface and causing severe damage to the underground facilities. As to the Citizens' navy, they lost only a hundred ships, none of which were larger than a thirty-meter-long freighter, though the Tantive IV would dock with a larger vessel to bring it back to Ajan Kloss. As to the Sith Temple, the Mon Calamari used all their ships to carpet bomb the structure to complete rubble so nothing remained as the fleet departed.
    • The old woman Rey meets on Tatooine is Dama Whitesun Brunk, Beru Lars' younger sister.
    * - * - * - *

    Visions
    • Luke and Leia were huge fans of Star Waver. they would do duets of the band's songs together in their breaks between missions.
    * - * - * - *
    Republic Comics
    • Depa Billaba's body disappeared from the Jedi Temple during Order 66 and her fate remains unknown.
    Classic Star Wars Comic Strips
    • Thalassa Tarkin was executed by Darth Vader following Princess Leia's escape from her custody.
    Rogue Squadron
    • The Mon Valle and the Corulag were extensively modified Neutron Star-class bulk cruisers and had served at the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY.
    Wedge's Gamble
    • After defecting during the Battle of Coruscant, Lieutenant Virar Needa was assigned as a duty officer to Admiral Ackbar.
    The Bacta War
    • Qlaern Hirf and a Zaltin-aligned human would go on to serve as senators for Thyferra in the New Republic.
    Solo Command
    • Clink became Myn Donos' astromech after the Battle of Ession while Gadget was given back to Ton Phanan and was passed on to Elassar Targon.
    • Captain Todra Mayn served as part of an A-wing unit during the Battle of Endor.
    • The Quasar Fire-class cruiser-carrier Battle Dog was one of several Sullustans-designed ships gifted to the Rebel Alliance prior to the Battle of Endor and would participate in the battle.
    • Nearly every ship of the Solo Fleet -- except the Mon Remonda, Skyhook, Crynyd, Allegiance and Ession Strike -- had participated in the Battle of Endor and survived.
    • Nova Squadron was led by Endor veteran Palso Thern, with Bowman Gavin also serving in the unit. Gayla Riemann and Carithlee served as leader and second-in-command of High Flight Squadron. Will Scotian led Corsair Squadron with Avan Beruss and Xarrce Huwla and Feylis Ardele was second-in-command of Gauntlet Squadron.
    Thrawn Trilogy
    • Commander Diblen Harleys served as part of an X-wing unit during the Battle of Endor.
    • Commander Varth and his unit did survive intact following the Battle of Generis, though would not be able to reach the New Republic Command until just prior to the Battle of Bilbringi.
    • General Theol Drost was captured after the Battle of Bilbringi, though would later be rescued by Imperial commandos and became a casualty of the Imperial Mutiny in 10 ABY.
    • Colonel Kleyn Selid and his staff were captured by Ekhrikhor clan Bakh'tor during the Battle of Mount Tantiss, though would later be rescued by Imperial commandos and served with Gilad Pellaeon for many years.
    • The Moff Council promoted Gilad Pellaeon to vice admiral after the Battle of Bilbringi, despite the failure of the Thrawn campaign overall.
    Dark Empire comics
    • The events of Operation: Shadow Hand badly crippled the New Republic High Command, among those casualties included Admirals Ragab, Willham Burke, Chel Dorat, Kir Vantai and Adar Tallon, Generals Vanden Willard, Pashna Starkiller, Horton Salm and Edor Crespin and veterans captains and pilots such as Afyon, Sarin Virgillio, Onoma, Huoba Neva and Varth. Following the conflict (despite reservations from Admiral Ackbar, Generals Bel Iblis, Madine and Rieekan that required further seasoning), several officers including Sien Sovv, Jid'yda, Tolokus and Turk Brand were promoted to fill the vacancies.
    • Salla Zend and Shug Ninx join the Smugglers' Alliance after the Battle of Byss, allying closely with Talon Karrde and Mara Jade.
    Starfighters of Adumar
    • During the Battle of Adumar, Lightflash Squadron was led by Dorset Konnair while Solar Wind Squadron was led by Bowman Gavin.
    New Jedi Order
    • Sirrakuk would serve as a refugee ship pilot throughout the Yuuzhan Vong War, being present to witness events at Dubrillion, Dantooine, Gyndine, Kalarba, Coruscant and Borleias.
    • Captain Mak Jorlen had served as Han Solo's duty officer aboard the Mon Remonda during the Zsinj campaign.
    • Syub Snunb was in charge of Task Force Aleph at the time of the Battle of Fondor, having come out of retirement to serve in the Yuuzhan Vong War. His ship was destroyed in a collision with another when pulled out of hyperspace by dovin basals attempting to jump to Fondor.
    • The Bail Organa was destroyed at the Battle of Coruscant, though General Bel Iblis and most of the crew were able to evacuate to the Mediator-class battle cruiser Harbinger that would serve as his flag for the remainder of the war.
    • Tenel Ka used her father's Song of War as her flag after she became Queen Mother, serving at Obroa-skai and Coruscant.
    • The Super Star Destroyer Dominion was present in orbit over Bastion when Han and Leia brought Commander Vana Dorja back to the Imperial Remnant. It was moved to Prefsbelt for repairs and thus unable to assist in the defence of the Remnant during the Yuuzhan Vong's invasion.
    • Gial Ackbar was actually murdered by Imperial Remnant agents who, with help from Quarren dissidents, poisoned him with similar nanotechnology that almost killed Mon Mothma years prior. Imperial scientists had successfully made these undetectable so that healers were unable to find them.
    Legacy of the Force
    • Though her primary goal was the restoration of the Sith, Lumiya was also acting out of revenge for her love and hatred of Luke and wishing to see everything he created be destroyed. In truth, however, these manipulations were done by an unknown entity that had been controlling events in the galaxy through the Force since before the Yuuzhan Vong War and Lumiya proved herself a useless puppet.
    • Vergere was never a Sith, though her time with the Yuuzhan Vong and being closed off from the Force for decades made her both a cynic and an eccentric. The being that was met by Lumiya and the future Darth Krayt in the form of Lumiya was actually a projection of the unknown entity. The supposed Force ghost of Anakin Jacen encountered on Coruscant after escaping the seedship was also a projection of this entity.
    Fate of the Jedi
    • Tahiri and Ben reconciled for what the former did the latter during their torture session during the final weeks of the Second Galactic Civil War, though neither would say how or why without mentioning Anakin Solo's name. Tahiri also never struck up a relationship with Jacen as implied by the prosecutors in her trial though she never really cared to defend herself on the matter as by that point she was aware of the rigged outcome and had stopped caring about her life.
    Between Crucible and Legacy
    • In 45 ABY, the unknown entity who had been manipulating events for over two decades was discovered thanks to Jaina Solo Fel, Jagged Fel, Tahiri Veila, Lowbacca, Zekk, Taryn Zel and Tesar Sebatyne. They also discovered that Jacen had been abducted by the entity prior to the Yuuzhan Vong War (replacing him with a perfect clone that believed himself to be the real one even after death). The entity was defeated by the Galactic Alliance at great cost and he was killed by all the Solo children (including the clone). Jacen ultimately rebuilt his life and ended up being the father of the ancestors of Ania Solo.
    • Tahiri Veila decided to return to Zonama Sekot to live out the rest of her life, preferring to live as far away from the known galaxy as possible.
    • Jagged Fel was forced to take the title of Emperor during a political crisis in 50 ABY, with the Jedi aiding in ending the crisis. This put the Jedi in good graces of both the Remnant and the Alliance as a result. Jagged and Jaina would make many reforms in the Empire and created, with permission from the Jedi Council, the Imperial Knights as a sect of light side Force users loyal to the Emperor. This was led first by Jaina then by her eldest son who went on to become Fel II after the passing of both his parents from old age.

Is this meant to address the twelve X-wings at Starkiller Base both before and after the controller reports that they've lost half their forces? Since I noticed that in TFA, it's bothered me a bit.
My headcanon for these three is that they were killed in action (Avan and Feylis went out together, Xarcce overcame her fear in In the Empire's Service and came to terms with her own mortality), to help justify the bloody reputation the Rogues have at the start of the X-Wing books, but happier endings for them would be nice, I just with there'd been some kind of closure for all those loose ends from the XWRS comics.

It explains the extra surviving pilots after the battle.

As to the second, i'm always one to find a positive route to characters' fates, at least until Dark Empire or NJO.

-There is in fact a planet Twi'lek that is often mistaken for Ryloth but is in fact the first world they colonized after Ryloth, and it is the world that is tidally locked with the Day and Nightlands. Genetic drift also resulted in it being filled with more human skintone twi'leks compared to the brightly colored twi'leks of ryloth, with the small nightside population having very pale skin like Bib Fortuna, and the Dayside twileks having very dark skin, like the one from the Mandalorian season 2, episode 1.

    - Between the thousands of years of hyperspace travel and some spreading through the World between Worlds before that, certainly lifeforms have been spread all over the galaxy and adapted to new climates in surprising ways...yet there also is a lot of convergent evolution that results in completely unrelated species looking fairly similar. In particular, the Knobby White Spiders of Dagobah and their lookalikes that Din ran into on that ice world, as well as the things the Rebels ran into Atolloian, are in fact completely unrelated and that is just a common body type for creatures that like to eat burrowing prey.
...also this is why Star Wars Galaxies and Swtor are full of reskinned creatures. ;p

-Sanjay Rash usurped the throne through a technically legal if obscure and unpopular method, which is why even the Republic was willing to consider him a legitimate government while the resistance on Onderon rejected him. Also, he is the old king's nephew and technically the heir, which added to why he had some support despite being a usurper and decidedly unpopular

Indeed. Helps add to the fact that they have a legendary reputation later in the legends timeline, as well as a family line that continues into the GCW era.

    I love it.

To add to that, the leveler is a sithspwan made from a modified ysalamiri - so that instead of simply calming the force around it into stillness, it spreads an aura of absolute terror and then use the connection of that fear to force drain its victims.

    Very nice.

The way I see it, while many of the battles we see are of outright invasions of either side, most battles of the clone wars involved planetary civil wars between separatist and loyalist factions, which received varying levels of support from the clone or droid armies depending on the strategic situation, from some weapons and advisors all the way to full armies landing in support. Though the CIS were overall more willing to jump to the large end of the scale, being both bad guys who only needed a few collaborators to justify an invasion, and having a larger army that could spare troops to more battlefronts, hoping to spread the clones thin.

    Interesting idea.

A thought I have had on that recently - the jedi forbid romantic relationships but friendships, even very close ones, are allowed. Also, it has been revealed that the topic of whether the jedi can have sex is unclear in universe, and while most jedi avoid it just in case some jedi insist it is allowed. Thus, long term close friends with benefits is technically allowed, if playing jumprope with a thin line. Perhaps this is what the jedi thought Anakin and Padme were up to.

    some more headcanons:

Agents embedded in the GFFA already aside, the Yuuzhan Vong tried several other vectors of entry before going for Vector Prime, their actually least favourite that would have them move slower towards the Core through lots of heavily armed cultures. Previously, they attempted to enter the galaxy through the Unknown Regions and were defeated three times, pulling back to outside the galaxy to regroup.

Their first attempt was right after TPM at Zonama Sekot were they were stopped and dreaded if more planets and Forceusers are like those they encountered. So they chose to approach from a side Forceusers are not frequently seen in.
Next they approached through the Unknown Regions moving towards Chiss Space, but they never made it to the Chiss. Mggnal-Mggnal and other horrors intercepted their advance forces and totally trashed them with only fleeing survivors reaching the Chiss, who thus learned of the Vong and defeated these heavily outgunned yet alien invaders on the run.
Their third failed attempt would would be on the other side of the galaxy and Unknown Regions where they successfully invaded that part of the Unknown Regions until they hit Lewkk and the Ssi Ruuvi Empire who battled them to a stalemate for a time as few Ssi Ruuvi parties were sent to recruit and entech more support in the nearby Empire like on Bakura, with Palpatines blessing in exchange for technology and intel on the attackers. But as the Ssi Ruuvi recruitment forces were defeated at Bakura, the main Ssi Ruuvi Force got trashed between Vong and Chiss whose Expansionary Defense Fleet policing the Unknown Regions followed their own Vong encounters and Ssi Ruuvi entechment recruition forces up to Lwekk. It is unknown if Ssi Ruuvi and Chiss allied to defeat the Vong or if the Chiss and Vong without an alliance trashed the Ssi Ruuvi between them before the Chiss drove the invaders off once more.

Before the NJO there is actually a fourth attempt of invasion, one that succeeded albeit unknown to the larger galaxy: The Vong hit the satellite galaxy instead of the main one after several failed attempts to regroup and reinforce themselves. There they encountered resistance but took a few worlds, driving off the local forces which fled towards the main galaxy. Local Tof pushed into Nagai space, and Nagai in return towards the main GFFA, followed by the Tof as the Vong pressed on behind them. But no Vong yet dared to make another attempt on the main galaxy so soon after their last defeats without further preparation and intel gathering. The Vong temporarily taking hold of a satellite galaxy lead to the confusion if they are from a distant galaxy or merely one of the satellites though. And even their temporary hold of the companion was soon revoked as the returning Tof and Nagai were joined by allied forces from the main GFFA and some war-hungry Mandalorians that hungered for battles to proof themselves in. Without giving too much on the invaders whereabouts or reasons though, Shysa's Mandalorians would only years later realize when the NJO invasion began, on what intel they sat for too long that could have helped the galaxy prepare.

Unbeknownst to the NR and Empire, some Mandalorians fighting the Vong in the NJO did remember the Companion Galaxy mission and took advantage from that, they even sent emissaries out to the companion to call for help with their Tof and Nagai allies, who were too willing to join into the batte and hand it to the Vong. Hence Nagai and Tof forces assisted Mandalore sector as well as tried to locate the Vong main fleet outside the galaxy to hit it before it might enter the GFFA in full. As the Chiss pressed on in the UR likewise with the Empire of the Hand, the Vong were hardpressed to advance and make up for what they lost to these groups hitting their sides and hides.

    Politics headcanon:

The divide of the galaxy into "Rim" and "Core" factions in the prequel era obscures more than it clarifies and gives an impression of uniformity on both sides that isn't there. On the one hand, yes, the Separatists are powerful on the "Rim" - but what that really means is that they get a lot of support from governments and elites that are beholden to the commerce guilds (i.e. all these planets that "allow" the Trade Federation or similar megacorps to represent them in the Senate), not that public opinion's behind that. On the other hand, yes, the Loyalists are based in the "Core," but as we see in the movies there are different strands of Loyalism out there - some believe in the Republic's values, some are simply High Human Culture chauvinists.

That explains a lot in the way the galaxy turns upside down between the prequels and the originals, and also the nature of the Rebel Alliance - Core World elites (the Leias) leading Outer Rim farm boys (the Lukes) - that some find bizarre. On the one hand, the Core World elites are people who were largely out of touch with their own populations, give or take a couple of planets; they can't compete with Palpatine for those hearts and minds, and they can't raise an army from there any more than they could prevent his regime's rise to power. On the other hand, the Outer Rim populations felt largely unrepresented by the Separatist movement, and they were quickly disillusioned when the end of the Clone Wars replaced Trade Federation Viceroys with Imperial Grand Moffs who were just as indifferent and unreachable... so when a group of people came calling who had a history of sticking it to both those groups, a lot of people were willing to listen.

    I like this.

As I recall from the Essential Chronology, it's noted that the Ssi-ruuk Imperium was severely thrashed not long after Bakura and that what New Republic scouts were sent to explore the area, they basically found a bunch of ruins. The assumption is that the perpetrators were the Chiss, but I don't remember if that was ever confirmed or if it's simply that they were the only known potential aggressor who fit the facts. I do remember that the Essential Chronology came out around the same time the New Jedi Order started, so already at the time I wondered if the Yuuzhan Vong might have been the real perpetrators. A more complicated three-way dust-up between the Ssi-ruuk, the Yuuzhan Vong, and the Chiss makes for a cooler story, though.

    More ST headcanons:

    - An opportunistic Snoke convinced a bratty and impressionable Ben Solo that Han and Leia were neglectful parents, instead of that actually being the case.

    - Ben Solo never wanted to become a Jedi, and instead thought becoming a Knight of Ren was more fitting for him, even before learning of his connection to Darth Vader.

    - Phasma survived falling into the inferno on the Supremacy, and used her presumed death to leave the First Order. She has now taken up bounty hunting as a profession, and holds a personal grudge against Finn.

    - Like with the Alazmecs of Winsit, Ochi of Bestoon became a true believer in Vader being the one true ruler of the galaxy. Acting in adherence to his true master's legacy, his 11th hour betrayal before his death is ultimately what leads to Palpatine's demise.

    - As with JJ's Star Trek "drill", the Xyston's superlaser take a longer time than shown to reach the planet's core.

    - Snoke isn't a meat puppet for Palpatine, but a pawn in the traditional sense. Snoke has his own thoughts and autonomy separate from Palpatine, and was created sometime before the fall of the Empire. After his death, Palpatine continued to speak to Kylo using his master's voice and likeness to screw with him.

    - Palpatine never revealed himself to anyone but his most faithful following his death.

    - Snoke is the First Order's window into the Sith Eternal. How the First Order views Snoke and Kylo as dark side messianic figures is meant to be the same as how they view Palpatine and the Sith Eternal.

    - The First Order is still larger than the Sith Eternal's Final Order fleet, but significantly less powerful. The First Order still has the manpower to challenge the crippled New Republic in the Core, so long as the rest of the galaxy doesn't rise against them.

    - Pryde didn't know about Palpatine's resurrection, but he had his suspicions that there was a bigger fish pulling Snoke's strings.

+ Palpatine had prepared for his death at the hands of Darth Vader after the events of the Empire Strikes Back with the Contingency only happening because Palpatine saw Luke Skywalker and/or Vader killing him.

+ This is partially why the Empire collapsed so quickly. The Empire's most fanatical and brainwashed forces were moved away from the Empire at a critical time and the events of Operation: Cinder were designed to prevent a possible successor.

+ The Sith Cultists on that world are essentially Palpatine's Inner Circle he moved there.

+ Palpatine's plan to resurrect himself...didn't work. Yes, for all of the massive amount of preparation and cloning and sorcery they did, the thing that was on Exegol was a manifestation of the Dark Side itself.

(Possibly the Son but that's splitting hairs)

+ And this is probably close to violating canon but Rey's father was indeed Palpatine's "son" but in that it was actually a clone of Anakin Skywalker he'd created in hopes of replacing his apprentice. Said clone was not force sensitive in the slightest and only survived because Palpatine wanted to see if it eventually changed.

This does mean that Rey is, in fact, a Skywalker.

The Snoke has free will aspect HAS been confirmed in several sources

In fact a few of these ST head canons have been confirmed in various sourcebooks

I think your on the money there as that is again sorta implied in sourcebooks and novelizations.

Sorta implied in the Vader comic. At least Mass Amedda and Sly Moore knew OF Exegol.
