Maybe the term Hoth is a reference to Lord Hoth of the Light Army

Hoth is space Antarctica; everyone knows it exists, but nobody goes their becuase it's cold and remote (and people definantly knew it existed - "the Hoth system is supposed to be devoid of lifeforms.")

If the Free French had established a hidden headquartes in Antarctica, would the Nazis have ever thought to look there?

Headcanon ending for the fates of Starkiller, Juno Eclipse, and Rahm Kota after The Force Unleashed II.

    • After capturing Darth Vader on Kamino, the Rebel Alliance prepared to transport the Dark Lord to Dantooine to stand trial before the Alliance leaders. However, someone higher-up in the command chain contacted Kota's fleet and instructed them to break off into smaller flotillas in an effort to throw off the Empire's search for the now-captured Vader. Kota would return to Dantooine while Starkiller and Juno, still carrying Vader, would travel to a remote planet to hold Vader until the heat dies down momentarily.
    • Boba Fett follows the Rogue Shadow and informs the Imperial Starfleet, which arrives in the hundreds of warships, effortlessly mowing through the fleet and landing on the surface. Starkiller joins the fight and is able to hold his own, until he senses something; Juno in danger. He returns back to the rebel base, only to find it in a smoking ruin and lashes out as wave after wave of Imperial stormtroopers arrive.
    • That's where we get a variant of this trailer playing out: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 - Snow TV Commercial | HD - YouTube
    • Even one-handed, Vader displays his true power in the Force and effortlessly dominates Starkiller, revealing that he allowed himself to be captured to root out the rebel leaders. But it seems that his forces jumped the gun and ruined his plans. Even so, at least he has his apprentice back under his thrall.
    • Starkiller and Juno would be captured and brought to the Death Star I for interrogation, the former tortured for months by Vader using Imperial torture devices and Sith alchemic magicks (like the gimp mask Ventress made Obi-Wan wear during his stay on Rattatak). Eventually, Palpatine would catch wind of Vader keeping Starkiller locked up in the Death Star's prisoner block like a rabid pet and tells him to kill him or else. Vader reluctantly agrees, disappointed in the termination of his apprentice but it was bound to happen at some point.
    • However, what Vader didn't count on was Juno finding a rebel sympathizer onboard the DS-1, convincing them to aid her in freeing the prisoners onboard the battle station by covertly smuggling in pieces of two lightsabers for Starkiller to assemble with the Force when the time was right. These lightsabers would be holed up in a secret room onboard the Death Star I, where Clone Wars veterans would store relics of the Old Republic in display cases to "remember the glory days".
    • When Vader arrives to kill Starkiller, the cloned apprentice makes his move: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II E3 Trailer - YouTube
    • This would make Starkiller into the Jedi that leads the Death Star riots in the original BF2 video game and distract Vader and the 501st Legion long enough for rebel spies to infiltrate and steal parts of the technical read-out of the Death Star I. Starkiller dies, buying time for Juno and the other rebels to escape and flee back to Polis Massa with the stolen plans.
    • Tarkin and ISB agents would work tirelessly to quell the rumors of the uprising, although word of it would spread through military gossip one way or the other (i.e. Death Star novel).
    • Kota's fate is grimmer than one would think. After losing his apprentice a second time in the short period he got him back, he became more brutal in his attacks on Imperial bases and facilities, raising concerns from leaders in the Alliance High Command. When Juno returns and lets him know about Starkiller's ultimate fate, he goes ballistic. Commandeering a rebel Lucrehulk cruiser, he leads his forces in a suicide mission to destroy the Death Star I himself.
    • And so, Kota would perish onboard the Fortressa when the Death Star fires on it, killing him and the poor souls onboard. Contrary to Imperial intelligence, a few squadrons of rebel fighters survived and fled the battle during the confusion, such as X2's Grey Squadron.
    • Juno would be grieved to hear of Kota's death but try to honor the good man he used to be (along with Galen and his clone that saved her) by commanding rebel ships in military operations against the Empire for the remainder of the Galactic Civil War, serving with distinction during the Battle of Endor, the Thrawn and Orianda Campaigns, and many others. She would die during the Yuuzhan Vong War (ironically) during a defense of Calllos by the intergalactic invaders. She left behind a husband and their only son, whom she aptly named Galen.

One other thing about Starkiller I like to think about is that the cloning operation on Kamino was happening for a much longer time than we're led to believe. It always felt strange on how out of nowhere that the facility and the Starkiller clones came to be in the sequel (which, admittedly, you could blame on rushed development irl) and the fact that Palpatine seemed to not really care about it, as far as we know. So, here's my insane theory about the clones and how it ties into the story of both games itself:

Vader did find a child on Kashyyyk named Galen Marek and took him under his wing to become his apprentice, but it was not kept secret from the Emperor. Palpatine knew about the child and allowed Vader to see what it was like to train a child in the ways of the dark side, the equivalent of giving his apprentice a hobby during the boring years of governing the galaxy. Vader truly believed that he would overthrow the Emperor with the help of his child, seeing his potential and did somewhat care for him in his own twisted way.

And then the child died. Not by Vader's hands or some cruelty ordered by Palpatine, but a sparring session with PROXY gone wrong. The boy slipped up somehow and PROXY delivered a killing blow, enraging Vader. His one chance at seizing the mantle of Sith Master was gone forever and he had been left with nothing to show for it but a corpse and lost time. He truly believed that there was no way for him to recapture the potential of the child.

That is, until the Kaminoans rebelled and the 501st was called in to subjugate the rogue geneticists. In the aftermath, Vader managed to find a cloning facility that had stayed loyal to the Imperial cause and hatched an idea. He brought forth the child's body and cloned it, ordering them to implant flash memories of the child into his mind so that the boy would believe that PROXY held back at the last second and sent him into a medically induced coma.

So, the Galen Marek we see in TFU 1 is actually a clone (or maybe clones? Who knows, given the life of a Sith apprentice and the dangers that comes with it) of the original Galen, who died many years prior to the main story. Vader just kept the truth hidden from his apprentice in that twisted Sith way as the Banites are usually renowned for. So, when Galen gets yeeted out into space by Vader under Palpatine's orders, neither one was truly worried about it since the clone's memories could be implanted into another one, hence the one we see waking up in the Imperial medical station afterwards.

The real problem arose when the clone rebelled against its Sith masters and began to follow the path of the Jedi, leading to Palpatine ordering Vader to terminate the rogue clone on Corellia. But the clone survives and rescues the rebel leaders at the cost of his life. While Palpatine was enraged by this setback, Vader still saw potential in the clone and sought to reprogram the clone into becoming the thing that its rogue variant fought against. What ended up happening was the clones getting the memories implanted into them going mad, unable to comprehend their new programming with the memories that they see in their dreams.

That's the reason why Vader deemed them failures and "went mad within months". Because he couldn't crush the Light out of these clones and didn't want to admit that his attempts of training an apprentice is a failure, like so long ago. The program would come to an end with the destruction of the Kaminoan cloning facility in TFU 2.

I headcanon that the Starkiller we play in TFU II is the real Starkiller.

We played a clone after Vader stabbed us in TFU, basically.

As for TFU3, I have a new idea regarding Vader's capture and how he got away:

What if the Rebels expected to use him not for his own crimes, but as witness for the Emperors? As of Rogue One they were trying to find proof to take to the Senate and needed witnesses and something nobody could dispute. Vader would be perfect as such, knowing the Emperor firsthand. They could have offered him, to help him take down the Emperor if he helped them to do that. Win win for both, given Vader wanted to supplant the Emperor as Sith, and the Rebels wanted the bigger evil gone and might ally with the lesser to do so. Planning to take on Vader (again) after deposing the Emperor. So they let him walk, with a loose shaky alliance with him to take down the Emperor together!
After all, Vader's Apprentice Starkiller created the Rebellion as per TFU lore and brought the Emperors enemies together and helped to coalesce the final Rebel Alliance formation from previous groups leftovers. Also a nice shock reveal that Vader was, even when going against the Rebels in ANH, secretly going against the Emperor more so and helping the Rebels, despite sacrificing many Rebels along the way to make it look convincing.

Remember Lucas is all for such schocking reveals turning the story on his head. Like "I am your father", or like Vader turning on the Emperor pre-ROTJ in Disney Marvel comics only to be stopped by the Exegol revelation. Qi'ra turning on the Emperor and Vader being curious about it, not joining her yet not ruling out that she may have a chance that he can benefit from. So why not Vader pre-ANH attempting for the Emperors life and the entire TFU setting up the Rebels via Vader's apprentice being used for an equally shocking reveal about Vader pre ANH and the entirety of TFU, Disney Marvel, etc. whitewashing Vader who does bad things but for a good reason, to take on the Emperor whenever he can like a good Sith Apprentice should?

Boba Fett on captured Vader's trail thus may plan to rescue him for the Emperor, but become not a witness but sceptical about what went on at Dantooine and how Vader got away. So the Rebels had to make it look convincing that Vader got away on his own and trash their base and move to another. But sceptical Boba Fett would pick up a trail that could unravel all this given the expert hunter he is and thus as a threat, someone needs to follow Fett and make sure he arrives at a different conclusion.

Meanwhile other characters from previous games are separated, Starkiller tracking down Fett, Juno preparing an attack on the Death Star with her Lucrehulc, etc. Fett can even capture Starkiller and take him to the DS1 where he can lead the revolt later on.

It would be ironic if TFU3 culminates in Rogue One kinda, with the Rebels obtaining the Scarif plans and Vader slaughtering Rebels, but deliberately slowing himself down to let always one with the plans escape instead of targeting that one guy first like he could have. When he sees the Tantive IV escape, he hopes they have enough time to deliver the plans. Because he has to go on the chase.

The Lucrehulc mission itself must have known it can not take down or out the DS1, but desperately tried, without plans, to find and attack a weakness in time with 1000 X-Wings and pilots being a lot but a good bet to find one. Maybe they hoped to in concert with the DS1 uprising from the inside, get close enough to recieve any weakness or help the inside team that got captured along with Starkiller can send either plans or a weakness out to them to target while the battle is already raging???

Many great ideas, especially to use the tv commercials or the BF2 uprising and the Lucrehulc attack for TFU3. I do not agree with all, but I like it. But Kota was alive after ANH and on another game, he cannot have died on the Lucrehulc btw.

Star Wara Battlefront: Elite Squadron Game, it massively expands Kota's fate after TFU and through the GCW, and also deals with forcesensitive clones and the likes. It is no TFU3, but at least Kota's story continued a lot. Wook has all details for you in Kota's profile.

-The Zygerrians with the red uniforms in the Bad Batch are from the Zygerrian slaver guild, separate from if supported by the Zyggerrian royal guard, who had the brown and gold uniforms from TCW

-Cad Bane went into retirement sometime between Bad Batch and ANH, but the Pykes were able to tempt him into one last job because he had gotten a bit bored, and he still wanted to settle things with Boba after the duel that had left him with the head plate.

-Hunter's knife in the Bad Batch is actually not a vibroblade, but rather a super-heated blade which acts like a lesser version of a lightsaber. Note that it doesn't have the blur or sound vibroweapons have in the Mandalorian, but does have glowing parts, especially along the blade, and it leaves lightsaber like blowing cuts on things it hits. Phee's sword is a similar weapon.

They would have trouble looking there given they would have to get past a bunch of allied fleets...

But yeah, anyway, obviously it was known on some level since they had the coordinates to put in the probe droid. But yeah it does bug me how often planets and species and things from the films get brought up regardless of how well known something is supposed to be in universe.

Like sure, Hoth's existence is known, but there are a lot of other ice planets out there, many of which are actually inhabited. You'd think people would more likely reference Mygeeto, Fest, or Hynestia or something. Similarly, one might expect people to be more familiar with the wildlife of say, Corellia, than that of Tatooine but apparently everyone is familiar with womp rats and krayt dragons regardless of their connection to Tatooine.

But yeah, complaining doesn't fix things, so it is more fun to explain. And I am going to agree with the headcanon that there is some famous media that features it - in particular, I am going to headcanon that one of the classic star wars in-universe warmovies that gets remade every century or so is based on the Battle of Hoth from SWTOR, and troops from both sides of the OT battle of Hoth were grimly aware of the irony of fighting on a planet famous as a hellhole battlefield.

(I felt a need to explain in my head why Mas Amedda is carrying the speaker's staff during Clone Wars, ROTS and Bad Batch. And explain Sly Moore's absence during the Clone Wars series.)

Early in the Clone Wars or at least prior to the events of "The Mandalore Plot", an assassination attempt was made against the Office of the Supreme Chancellor by people surprisingly unconnected to both the Republic and the Separatists. There were a lot of deaths and injuries, with Dar Wac and Sly Moore ending up in comas that they wouldn't awaken from until after the events of "Crisis at the Heart" while Mas Amedda suffered a leg injury that, due to his age, would never fully heal. He could walk short distances without it or when in a dash (as shown in ROTS) but it would leave his mouth blue-bloody from the pain. The staff's usage proved useful for many years.

  13. In the EU/Legends Universe the 501st Legion "Vader Fist" Clones can grow and age normally maybe Vader experimented with them and thats why they can still Fight during the Rebellion Era they joined Thrawn and became the Empire of the Hand at least the First Version they went to the Unknown Regions and fought the Yuuzhan Vong maybe thats why they didnt appear on Endor in the Original Battlefront 2 Game

Mara Jade dont exist in the New Canon Universe if someday they reveal that Luke had a Son or a Daughter in the New Canon i highly doubt that their Mother will be Mara Jade they will probably create a New Character instead if Mara Jade existed in the New Canon she was not Luke Wife like in Legends that is my headcanon for Mara Jade in the New Canon for now

If my headcanon about Mara Jade in the New Canon is true then when New Canon Luke went into Exile in Ahch-To he Dreamed a lot with a Redheaded Woman in his Dreams and Visions in reality it was Mara Jade his Wife in Another Universe or Reality

One of the Early Versions of Snoke was active during the Rebellion Era and was Director of Imperial Intelligence just like Cronal in Legends

One of Cassian Andor Alias Names was Kyle Katarn

I want to believe that Galen Marek existed in the New Canon as Rahm Kota but unlike Legends this Version of Galen Marek never joined the Rebellion never met Kota and never Turned to the Light Side his existence was little known in the Empire

Kir Kanos is a descendant of Sagoro Autem or his son Reymet Autem

Forgot to comment on the TFU headcanons. Lots of cool ideas here. My own is more simple -

You know how in the Dark Side ending the evil clone stabs you in the back out of nowhere? My idea is that he and his terror troopers were in fact there for the lightside ending as well, stealthed and watching (and indeed Dark Starkiller being Vader's assassin more literally, using a combination of stealth and force technique to be incredibly stealthy). Vader being captured is in fact the entire plan so that they could find the rebel base, and he is there mostly as a failsafe in case something goes wrong, which is why he acts in the dark side ending to prevent Vader from being killed.

So the evil clone shows up, frees Vader, and attacks the rebels. And after a full game's worth of plot, the good and evil clones end up killing each other, and Palpatine decides not to fund restarting the Galen cloning program since it has really hurt more than helped at this point. Kota is so put off by this he declines to train Luke later, despite being a prominent jedi associated with the rebelion

-And as someone who doesn't really do One Canon too much but likes to have versions of characters from both continuities exist in either whenever possible, Kota leads an early rebel cell hear as well, but ultimately gets taken down by the Inquistion and Purge Troopers, with the Grand Inquistor killing Kota personally.

    - Inquisitor Tremayne was First Brother, though unlike other inquisitors he used his real name whenever he could get away with it.

-The Iron Blockade's Purge Troopers were designed to evoke the original purge troopers, specifically the fear they generated, but didn't have a direct connection.

-The droid purge troopers from TFU existed in canon as the heavy artillery of anti-jedi units, though for clarity's sake in Disney canon they are purge droids.

Given Reymet's girlfriend was Felcatian, how does Kir Kanos cover up his catlike traits? ;p

Wait, maybe as a Felcatian hybrid he looks normal in his base form but has the ability to turn into a tiger if he wanted (but he chooses not to as a result of imperial human supremacy)

...or he could just be descended from one of Reymet's sisters which would work better with both age and why the last name was Kanos, but that is no fun.

Well... somehow polygamy is not forbidden in the GFFA and Luke can marry Mara and Camie... or Tionne... etc. it all makes sense now.

What if they get him a husband though? I mean it would work... as easily, but I do want to see them be bold just to make you sweat! Bonus points if they name the guy "Abel Loth" :p[face_devil]

Delilah was polyamorous, I took it (but I may by biased), she had major issues with Cade hooking up with Talon, a negative influence, but thought Azlyn was good for him.

Not sure if Legacy intended to make nonmonogamy the baseline for Zeltrons tbh.

Arhul Hextoprophon does not exist. He is an alias for someone else, yet one that can integrate into roles and societies seemless.

Actually his name gives it all away: Ar-hul Hex-tro-phon is just a clever worldplay going back to said characters youth and his hobbies and profession. Arhul is none other than Mammon Hoole!

    Ar-hul = (You) Ar(e) Hoole

    Hex = to bewitch
    tro = believe (norse)
    phon = sound, voice, language

We know Hoole loved languages and cultures and was adept at "bewitching" as in tricking others to believe in his fake identities and looks as a shapeshifting Shiido.

So our expert on Supernatural Encounters is the same guy that experienced some scary adventures in a Galaxy of Fear...

    Unrelated but equally interesting:
I stumbled over this on Wikipedia:

    What is a Drengr?
Noun. drengr m (genitive drengs, plural drengir) a valiant, gallant, chivalrous man. lad, youth, a boy. one who is bold, reckless, or inexperienced.

    What the hell High Republic?

Hmm...all solid possiblities, though I certainly hope Remet and Riao got to stay together after all they went through.

....and, thinking more, Sagoro went on the run for being labled a traitor for opposing the empire, so it would be odd for a member of that family to end up not only an imperial, but a fanatically loyal royal guard, and if Vader knew his relationship with a traitor it would probably be more a mark against him anything. Well, anything is possible I suppose.

The Jedi Order also ceased to exist years after Legacy the Imperial Knights became the only Force User Organization in the Galaxy in Legends
