I use quotation marks because the terms masculine and feminine are extremely subjective.

 

Guess that mainly relies on the fact that we primarily see a military focused environemt in the stories, so everyone within these stories is kinda force to do fighting/pysical labor as you call it.

 

Shmi certainly got a Desperate Housewifes thing going on with Qui-Gon now if that is traditional or not...despite she got a past and as a slave had to survive. She was tough once, still is if you ask me. But, while she looks traditional, she is more that rustical tough traditional woman. I mean, despite social roles, gender inequality and all in the past ladies were tough on Earth too. I think the girlie girl stereotype is a rather new construct that originated in post-World War urban culture and the rise of computer, cellphones etc.

But the last decades had quite a high number of slow subliminal history revisions where media in movies and tv placed women and people of color in roles that may or may not have existed in the past for their discriminated ancestors. In a way its to raise period pieces diversity scores, in another it feels like the 60s and 70s flicks that advanced the thought of blue-eyes blonde white skinned Jesus and people in the middle east in the peoples minds instead of a region-true portrayal of color and else.

This for many dilutes history accurate portrayal in an age where people believe those media blindly and read less of actual history sadly. Like all the modern historic events that get movie adaptions flavored by actual political interests and bias.

 

Mind you, the reverse is also not entirely true. Leia, Jyn, Padme, and others are tough but feminine women. Indeed, Leia inspired her own branch of feminism alongside other women according to some academic studies.

We rarely get utterly non-feminine women in Star Wars with Phasma being one.

The general consensus is that the Legends EU post ROTJ is a mix of various enemies plans, not a coordinated masterplan from beginning to end. What if if were different?

What if two masterminds were battling it out and we never knew? Palpatine attempted a contingency that would have him return to the living via essence tranfer and cloning. Another, Thrawn maybe, tried to thwart and prevent that intending to form a more benevolent yet stronger Empire?

It was a long road for Palpatines soulcarrying Emperors Hand to reach Byss. What if originally as in new canon, the Emperor intended a contingency that included a culling like Operation Cinder as well as employ of the Empire of the Hand in the Unknown Regions? But Thrawn was in command there and had bid his time now working against the dead/undead Emperor when he was weakest, unable to command his underlings. as Thrawns agents hunted for the Soulcarrier, he also thwarted other operations. Preventing or delaying Cinder and denying the Empire of the Hand to the Imperial splinter factions. Taking control of observatories and storehouses of the Emperor, Thrawn cut his loyalist forces off from vital supplies and ressources forcing them to hole up in the Deep Core before he could get to them. Thrawn even bred clones of Forceusers intending to use them against any leftover Darksiders of the Emperors cadre should Skywalker need support or fail to do so on his own quest. In this vain, Joruus wanted to join with Skywalker, teach him and work with him. Thrawn left Joruus in the belief that it was all his own goals despite Thrawn manipulating him. Thrawn even prepared Luuke and others via Joruus should Skywalker fail. But with Thrawns untimely artistic end, his plans did not stop. He too had prepared a clone of himself yet had not thought to die so soon leaving the clone growing for years to come until ready.
Meanwhile the Emperor reborn seized the chance and initiated his new version of Cinder in the blitz for Coruscant as the Deep Core Empire leashed out and retook what Thrawn had tried to keep from them. Meanwhile Thrawns plans kept going forward without him: The galaxy seeded with clone pockets of pilots, soldiers, Fels etc., his protegé Pellaeon nudging the Imperial leftovers towards a united front and Imperial Remnant while playing the second in command and other roles here and there and recruiting other talents to the cause, like Daala later on. Daala hacked one of Palpatines old Cinder messenger drones and reused it as Fake Emperor hologram for the Second Imperium, as Empire of the Hand, Second Imperium and Imperial Remnant worked in secret together while if one should fail, two more are still there to go on.
Thrawn knew the Emperor can not be killed in the traditional sense if he can bodyhop. He needed Forceusers to keep him and throw him into hell. So maybe he intended his UR clones of former darksiders and jedi from crosscurrent to work with the Shadow Academy of Brakkiss and the Second Imperium? Maybe he used the fake Emperor hologram to draw out any real Emperor if still alive somehow somewhere, for he would not like imposters and strike at them. Was the Second Imperium thus a trap set for another Emperor survival just in case?
Had Thrawns return not been prevented by Luke and Mara, he might have been useful against the Vong, but before that he would have tried to seize the Solokids again. Not due to their power, but due to suspecting the Emperor would have loved to latch on to them or bodyhop into any one of them. So to check and make sure they are not the Emperor growing up in disguise as Anakin Solo feared, Thrawn might have wanted to take them and take care of them either way via the Second Imperium.

I can already see a foiled Second Imperium ending with Thrawn in a max security prison until during the Vong War freed under premise of aiding the NR in the war, which he does, taking command of the allied forces.

 

The love interest of qui-gon alluded to in Master and Apprentice is Tahl from Jedi Apprentice who died on felucia in the NUcanon
in 8 BBY or so darth vader and the inquisitors destroyed crimson dawn kill Qi'ra and forced darth maul to flee
the grand inquisitor along with most of the other inquisitors had not seen combat in about 5 years during rebels
In 3 BBY after the rebels season finale darth sidious had vader purge the inquisitors for failing time and again which kept him busy until shortly before rogue one

 

Thrawn decides to take a little break from reading in-depth intel reports, applying his genius to forming strategy, etc. Chooses to look at his art collection for relaxation. Suddenly his XO walks in without knocking and sees him enjoying his art. Thrawn thinks Oh **** I've been caught slacking off, better come up with an excuse fast, or I'll never hear the end of this!

He buys it. Thrawn now needs to keep up the art strategy powers shtick lest the lie be exposed and he be revealed as a slacker, ruining his budding cult of personality.

You know, Germany once had a chancellor that began his career as a failed artist and still loved art when be came to power. He restyled everything with fancy uniforms, a new flag, brutalist architecture and collected art from all over the world. He too died before his dream became reality after he tried to expand his vision by force... but it was so artistically done

Ok that guy was a crazy idiot that did the world much harm (aside inventing highways), but in a way Thrawn reminds me a lot of him. He too has a vision and is not shy to go over bodies for it. Thrawn is no hero but attempts to build an utopia on the back of dead bodies of his enemies and seems to ignore the dystopia necessary for his utopia to stay afloat.

 

Thrawn’s Struggle

 

IF Force Ghosts can do literally anything godly powerful as they are and yet let the heroes do most work, arn't they the true evil here? They guide the conflicts, they do not end them and they should merge into the Force yet retain identity and abuse the Force's power for their personal ends? Basically Force Ghosts are the proof afterlife exists and what might have started the Sith to believe eternal life is possible, thus creating the imbalance themselves in ancient times by showing themselves to the mortals! Now they cannot undo that (without timetravel but that is another pandoras box). So they have to erase ALL witnesses to their meddling.. Jedi, Sith and every innocent in between that heard or saw them or about them. In that regard their manipulations make more sense and are quite nefarious... fooling the heroes for their own undoing in the end. We are witnessing the Force Ghosts wipe them all out contingency abusing Light and Dark Sides to achieve it for they cannot return to the Force befoer they undid their primeordial error?
This sounds way more micro/macro world conflict which Lucas may have been aware of than anything else. Reveal the Force Ghosts as what they really are: Villains, Whillains... Whills! They give the Force a will, a Whill, and force it to theirs. They prevent free choice and created fate leading to the creation of visions and prophecy. See where I am going?

 

The Resistance had a costumemaker copy Surpreme Leader Kylo Ren's outfit+helmet and employs fake-Kylos to appear out of nowhere and command real First Order troops either away of Resistance hiding spots or whereever they are less trouble. Once Kylo figured this out, he smashed his freshly repaired helmet again (the one he wore on Baatu Galaxys Edge looking like the TFA/TLJ one) only to have it reforged with a new redglue pattern that the Resistance would be unable to ever copy too!

Meanwhile slicers hacked into he First Order databases and as Dooku had done with the Jedi Archives long before altered some data. So whenever holonet-googling Baatu, Kylo found two entries in two differnet locations which annoyed him greatly as both were like nearperfect copies of each other once his scouts returned with reports about them. Unable to still decide which is the real Baatu, he had to visit both in person.

Also, given Episode IX might copy some from ROTJ, Kylo will need a gold costume. It might not be a metal bikini but what if he tries on one of Snokes golden bathrobes instead to complete the Surpreme Leader look? Fanartists, go at it!

 

Force Ghosts can only be seen or heard by people who are well-trained to use The Force.

 

Old Wounds was the canon death of Maul in Legends although i would prefer that Maul died in Episode 1 in the Legends timeline there is evidence that he survived so for me that comic is canon

 

i dont know what do you mean bro but in The Wrath of Darth Maul it is clear that Maul survives the duel with Kenobi in Naboo and the Rebels episode is not canon to Legends so yeah that comic is still valid for me its my headcanon

 

My headcanon for Darth Maul's return is this really.

Darth Maul did die on Naboo. His body was recovered and dispatched to Coruscant for analysis aboard a transport. Mercenaries working for Mother Talzin intercepted the transport and brought the body to Dathomir where the Nightsister clan resurrected him. The side-effect of this resurrection, aside from being unnatural in the Force, was that Maul went insane. You don't always come back to life whole in other words. Maul's top half then managed to get back to the transport and made a blind jump that ended up with him on Lotho Minor. Talzin, realising her mistake, spent the next decade or so trying to bring back her "son" (very iffy about that revelation but that's another story - my headcanon on the origins of Maul). Maul then built a new body for himself. Talzin originally planned to restore his body whole but the Zabrak escaped before that could be accomplished and the legs rotted away.

 

In addition to trying to save Padmé, Anakin was trying to save his yet-to-be-born kids. The actions he took to “save” his kids resulted in kids growing up to fight against him.

 

Legacy Vol. II was going to make more connections between AG-37 and Han Solo if it had gotten more issues. I know this because I've met the creative team!

I remember reading around that time of a mini series being pitched by one of the Legacy comics writers where Han Solo and Mon Mothma worked together right before ESB. Always assumed Ag37 would play a role

 

I need to go back to Legacy Vol. II and look at it again. Both members of the creative team have been active at comics events in the Los Angeles area. It is easy to meet them if you are local. They knew the series was going to be cancelled and planned for the last issue. However, they did have momentum built up and ideas flowing. The character developments they introduced were received well and were going to be built on. I found the dynamic of AG-37 being a sworn protector of Ania Solo to be one of the most memorable.

That is an interesting point that the back history between AG-37 and the Solo clan could have spilled over into other mini-series.

 

You know I'm kinda a fan of the idea of Palpatine is responsible for Padme's death and he did some weird force life transfer stuff and that's why she died.
