True but they just could be referring to the unnamed film by the Era its in. A reference title like how TESB was called Star Wars 2 before it got it's own name. Besides, THR is saying that, it's not coming from LFL officially or a quote from the new writer...there would have been more fanfare for the official or working title of this film

Hopefully this means they can get back on track. I'm becoming impatient for this film. [face_waiting]:p

Here to say that Ocean's Twelve is very good and is the anti-sequel to Ocean's Eleven.

So maybe New Jedi Order is the anti-sequel to the ST?

I always thought 12 was the weakest one (haven't seen 8) but also I am the only person who liked the Adjustment Bureau. Even Obama made fun of it to Matt Damon!

I am fully convinced you are the one Kathleen Kennedy is answering to. As soon as Fred asks what is going on answers we soon get.

For Force's sake, don't mention "Rey" and "related" in the same sentence. We've all been through enough.

Well, they've all been something, until they were nothing. Let's hope this one thing stays something, because it seems like they've tried everything.

This writer used to work with Tony Gilroy, wonder if that means Tony Gilroy has some influence within Lucasfilm now. After both him and beau involved in making movies

Would be great if he became a more fixed presence at Lucasfilm.

Maybe he could part of an internal peer-review group at Lucasfilm. That won’t mean he’ll be working on anything, but at least he could have some input into other new Star Wars productions.

Orrrr....Disney could just pay him a lot of money to continue to work on SW, maybe unleash him on a film of his own.

This thing was announced almost 2 years ago. Almost hard to believe its been that long. And now we're 4 (actually 5) writers later and still no script. A story maybe. But no working or good enough script yet.

I'm just itching to know what is so damn difficult about this story that none of these professional writers can make work.

I'm willing to bet their biggest obstacle is wearing a suit and made $41.1M last year.

This film is deader than corduroy. It’s a busted flush. Let’s hope Disney can put their efforts somewhere else.

I hear all this doom and gloom, but this has happened many times in showbiz and Hollywood. Its just they can tell great stories. But anything thats connected to the Skywalker saga and direct Sequel will have everybody involved. From Bob Iger, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, Sharmeen Chinoy, the new writer, Jon Favearu and so.

I believe we will get this movie in 28-29, and we be 9-10 years between TROS and this movie. A long enough between time for haters to forget their Sequel hatred. If this movie dosent happen it would mean failure for Disney and Lucasfilm and mean Star Wars as an IP is wasted. We will see Daisy Ridley return as Rey Skywalker in this movie that then will be continued in the next saga trilogy. So we have at least 4 movies with Rey and her new jedi order.

I have a very nice corduroy jacket. Every time I wear it people give me compliments for it, so I'll have to assume that corduroy isn't, in fact, dead. It might not be the height of fashion right now, but people still like it and will most likely continue to produce it.

What I’m saying is that I’m reasonably sure that this film is still happening, and that Rey will wear a corduroy cloak in it.

Would jedi want to modernize their jedi wear. Like people complained they dress like farmers in the Prequels. Maybe the jedi can dress like hi hop kids and stoners in the 70's :p or go really meta and dress like kids born in 2020's

I can’t wait to see Jedi Master Cor Du Roy … in this movie. One day. Maybe in the 30s

I'm not sure I'd agree. It's DLF that have decided to die on this particular hill. They could have green lit a film/story that takes places 50, 100, 200 years after the sequels. They could have had a clean slate with all new characters and situations. Instead, for whatever reason, they've decided to tie it directly to Rey and all the baggage that comes with that 'creative' choice. It's a no win situation... which is why it seems this film is stuck in development hell (after dragging poor Daisy out on stage at Celebration). It's been 10 years since TFA came out and the ST dial hasn't moved in terms of reinvigorated popularity etc. Unfortunately another 3 years won't make much of a difference... and development hell doesn't usually result in a cinematic/box office behemoth... sadly...

It turns out that Rey was born on the planet Cor Du Rey and that's where they got her name.
