Discussion Ships and Vehicles of Ep VII

I guess we have to start this thread all over again here?

I was curious on which ship people want to see the most in Ep VII. For me, it starts and ends with the X-WING. That was the ship when I was growing up. I'm hoping and praying that we see X-WINGs back in action in VII. For the record, I hated the ARCs.

TIE fighers are high up on that list. I imagine if Han is back, the Falcon is obviously back.

All the other rebel ships would be cool.

What are you hoping for?

 

What!?! Where are The Prequel ships, some of my favorite ships come from those movies!

Anyways I want to see an upgraded version of the Jedi Starfighters. They were the coolest ships in the PT, so untill I have a Jedi Starfighter option or an other option I feel inclined not to vote.

As for other ships I'd love to see an upgraded X Wing too, and you can't forget about the Falcon, if the Empire is still around an imperial shuttle would be nice and a Republic Gunship would be cool as well for the New Republic. I'd like also see Naboo fighters if we ever return to the planet.

 

Millennium Falcon. Can't wait. Han and Chewie at the helm again (don't rob us of that again--I'm looking at you, ROTJ).

Hoping to see a continuation of the last Republic-designed ships-the Venators. Far prefer their slender, gracile lines to ISDs, myself.

While I'd love to see the X-wing and TIE-Fighters, I would hope technology would be improving and they would have new distinctive space craft.

What about the A-Wing and TIE-Interceptor?

 

A-wing and Squint were at the top of my "why didn't you include" list too.

As for PT ships, I wouldn't mind seeing some of those beautiful Naboo designs, but I don't care for any of the others.

 

Naboo starfighters would be cool. Jedi starfighters as well.

 

So, if i get this right, if most people want new technology to advance ships like the x-wing / y-wing / star destroyers /etc, why do we think Han would still be flying around in a 30-40 year old falcon?

I'm thinking because he *loves* his ship. He's shown more attachment to his ship than any other character. So he would keep it maintained and running well. Think of it like when we see really old classic cars still on the road.

 

Yeah, I don't think Han would part with the old girl, no matter what.

I can't wait to see the Falcon. I wonder how much she'll have changed. I can't see them messing with the design too much, but maybe some new details (a new radar dish, since Lando took out the old one...) or a little bit of paint?

 

X-wings. Since I'm still hoping they make a break with the current EU, I don't particularly hope to see any more "specific" ships. I'm very spoiler-free right now so I don't even know if the Empire is going to play a role.

 

X-Wings, yes. Iconic ships, can't not have them.

And B-Wings would be nice IMO. Didn't see them in RotJ except for one or two quick shots. Kinda up there with the K-Wing for me as the heavy fighter.

I'm on the fence about the Y-Wing. They're supposed to be junkers in ANH, so having more seems kinda . . . wrong, in a way.

 

Yea I want to see new ships, unless if it's the falcon.

That is one thing you shouldn't change. (Who knows, maybe they never got that antenna fixed that Lando broke in the Second Death Star.)

 

I wonder how many cloud car toys were actually sold?

 

Just like to see the X-Wing again. Maybe an ISB too.

 

I'd wondered why the Y-Wing never showed up in the prequels. They were supposed to be the torpedo bombers.

I expect to see some old classics, but newer models will probably dominate the scene. I look forward to that!

X-Wings and the Millennium Falcon are musts in a post-OT set film, but I want to see more A-wings. I always sorta thought they were a bit like the Eta-2's that the Jedi in RotS are zippings around in. Small, compact, little fighters that pack a lot of power. Size matters not.

 

X-Wing for sure. But I'd not mind elegant ships like Amidala's Nubian cruisers either. They look beautiful!
