Should the fanfic forum be split up?

*Note to all blondes out there including myself* I think we've made it clear that Ye Olde Board is gonna be reply only.

 

OK- Does anyone know exactly what time the board split will occur. Sometime today I know, but it'll be pretty obvious right? Cause I"m holding off posting a new fic until it happens.

It will be late this evening. I was originally off today, but got called in to work instead. It will be done by tomorrow, if you want to hold off that long. If not, at the moment, I'm estimating about seven o'clock board time.

This question is probably useless because the boards split is going to happen, and I have no idea how the board software or whatever works.

But I was wondering if there was a way to create a board in which the users could set a "search" function. When they log on, they could say they only want to see stories that fall under a certain category. The authors, when they post the story, in a special box next to the text box, perhaps, click what categories it would fall under (post-saga, H/L, Obidala, etc). For instance, the reader would go to the Fan Fiction board, click that they only want to see stories that are Obidala fics, and then only those stories would show up.

I don't know if I'm making any sense, but I wonder if there would be a way to do this? That way there would still be only one board.

 

I'm afraid that's definitely not possible with the current board system.

Mistryl, I think that?s highly unlikely. You have to base your story sometime in the Star Wars universe. Maybe I?m misinterpreting your question, but can you give me an example? As for deciding where your story should go in the future, the ?Where does my story belong?? thread should clear that up.
