    Now that you mention it, I don’t think I can even think of the names of Mortal Kombats 7 & 8… and can barely remember the titles for 5 & 6- and I own 5.

    I'm trying not to look. Armageddon was 6. I knew that was the one of that pair I didn't have. 5 was Deadly Alliance, but I thought was Devastation for some reason, so maybe that's 7...

    Honestly surprised NetherRealm hasn’t embraced the shared abbreviation and spun off their franchise into a kart racer. “Who’s your main driver in MK?” “Hard to choose but I really like the way Mokap handles.”

    I think those spin-offs they did back in the day put them off ever doing genre experiments outside of the context of minigames, and I say this as someone who would've paid for a standalone version of Puzzle Kombat.

    I wish they had pushed through with further entries in the MK Mythologies series. Sub-Zero had problems, no doubt, but iterating on it towards the genre it was aiming for had potential.

    Persona was expected but still nice to finally see Persona 5 on Switch (after Strikers last year). And happy to have Persona 3 and 4 portable again (without having to dig out my Vita or buying something like a Steam Deck).

    Too bad that Battle Network collection probably won't have the Double Team version. Although yeah, there's still Star Force to go.

    Gotta remember to go download that Live A Live demo later.

    I distinctly remember my grandmother buying me Kirby’s Avalanche at Toys R Us when I was a kid, then playing it at her house and being really confused/disappointed that it wasn’t a side scroller a la Super Star. But it did turn me into a Puyo Puyo fan, and I wound up playing it more than Super Star over the years.

    I find the idea that Nintendo, still annoyed that they can’t get SFII for their service, has gone for the most infamous SFII clone ever made to be really, really funny.
