JCC So, I am genderqueer

I decided to post this here and not just in the trans/genderqueer thread because I felt it was easier to let all you know at once. Plus I love you all and would love your support.

So basically, I have come to the realization, along with some help from my bestie @poor yorick that I need to stop just calling myself a tomboy. It's kinda childish and not quite accurate. In fact, what I am is a genderqueer masc woman. A male lady. A demigirl. I will just go with genderqueer woman to make it easier

And now the Q&A, although if you have more questions, I am certainly open to answering what I can!

Does this mean you're non-binary?
No. That's not how I feel. My entire life I have basically felt like a male brain in a woman's body, and been fine with both those. That's how I would define it.

What are your pronouns?
She/her is still right. Although all those people who used to think I was a guy actually never bothered me since I felt my brain was one anyway.

Does this mean you're LGBTQ?
I think so? I like men. But my brain is male. My brain is basically a gay guy who loves musical theatre and sports alike. But my body is female, so I would still say I am straight. But definitely queer in my gender, so yes. I hope this doesn't offend our other LGBTQ folks here or seem like a cry for attention...

What are you doing about it?
I have actually already sorta secretly been stopping my periods with birth control for years. But I am gonna check with a gender clinic about the best way to do that since I am dysphoric about my periods and the idea of carrying a child (though adoption is still an option!). I think I will finally also cut my hair short, which I have ALWAYS wanted to do.

What do you want from us?
Not a lot really. Like I said, my pronouns aren't changing. You can call me Rachel still, although I have been experimenting with Rae as a nickname in my head for years and never used it. So that's fine too

Mostly I just hope to have some support and understanding. If you don't agree with my gender expression, I would hope you would still respect me as a person.

@dp4m hey, my grandpa's name is Ray and I experimented with Rae online elsewhere before Rey even existed!! Also @Boba_Fett_2001 has been calling me Ray for forever.

@SuperWatto heh well if you knew me IRL it would maybe be less WTH. I wear pretty much exclusively men's clothing and have for a few years. Kinda a tip off But thank you for the support!

I don't know them personally, obviously, but based on how you've talked about them, I don't think that will change. I 1000% understand the hesitation though.
