Ì`ve been doing some digging for more dirt on the LOTR DVD release.

Get this; The first 2 disc set has material that won`t be included in the 4 disc set special edition that I`ll be released later this year.

So, being the purist/completeist that many of us are, we`ll be inclined to purchase both...

So that`s six disc`s just for one bloody movie...

If they follow suit with the sequels, that`ll mean we`ll have 18 Discs by the time "The King Returns"....

And we thought Lucas was evil?!

    :p

You know what reallly knees me in the gonads?

LOTR AND Star Trek 2; Special edition Dvd comes out on the 6th of August!

I`m gonna need to invest into new shelf space at this rate...

    :p

    *Kneels before George Lucas*

Oh great one, I follow the path you have laid out. I`ve embraced the digital age, burned the VHS tapes- But when will the original trilogy and Indiana Jones come before us?

The wallet wasn't full of money.

and my wallet burst completely when I tried to jam-in that coupon for a free guitar lesson.

How's the Amelie DVD? Did Canada get the two-disc version by TVA International?

Being uber-jetlagged for a week when I get back in late-august, I might have some all-night viewing-party to catch up on the titles I've missed-buying sofar this summer... stuff like Top Secret, Brain Candy, The Wrong Guy, etc.

Gah! with regards to the Amelie DVD, unfortunatley the super-duper special edition with tons of extras is only avaliable in unsubtitled form. :(

While i'm supposed to be bilingual, i still need the subtitles personally as the french talk so darn fast!!!

A friend of mine at work, and fellow Amelie enthusiast is hopeful of a subtitled version of the special edition coming up in the near future....
