ST So, who's gonna get their arm severed?

C3PO lost his limb again but it was off-camera. They even wasted screen-time for him to mention it, and he would've winked at the camera if he was able to.

 

This was great!

 

I think Benecio would give a good performance if his arm was cut.

 

I don't think Rey will get her arm severed. Not sure about Kylo Ren....the cut she gave him went from the base if his shoulder. I honestly hope not. Because Skywalkers loosing their hands is such a lame thing....if they continue with it in ST it will be the lamest thing of SW...search your feelings people, you know it to be true...if that happens again they might as well addopt a second lastname to stand next to a Skywalker name such as Skywalker-Loosehanders or Skywalker-FreeofArms....
A non FS loosing an arm in a rematch with FN-2199, a.k.a. TR-8R (he is totally alive...it was just a flesh wound!! Kylo got hit and survived too) is quite acceptable to me

 

Seriously speaking, we may not get the protagonist losing an arm this time around because the parallels were already pretty blatant between Anakin and Luke. Unlike the ambiance of having the hero start in a desert in the OT, PT and ST, the arm severe is pretty in your face.

It would be like if we heard the whole "I love you. I know" exchange again in the ST.
It was already overused when they reversed it in Return of the Jedi.

It wasn't a waste of screen time because it was humorous, and humor in Star Wars is good.

At all eight cinema viewings, most of the crowd laughed and laughed heartily. But I suppose if you feel that moment took away from possibly more expository scenes where lore is monotonously regurgitated by some empty vessel that was once an actor, it might be irritating. So I can understand...

 

Episode 8: Rey is confronted with a platoon of troopers, and plows into them slicing off hands, arms legs. Flying all over the place.

Episode 9: We come across a platoon of troopers with horrific deadly robotic arms and legs.

 

But he actually by the end of the movie he had his old arm back

 

A rathar lost his limbs in TFA because of Rey and the door.

These arms were made for severing, and that's just what they'll do.

 

no severed arms , no real Star Wars and I want my money back.

 

My vote is Kylo Ren will lose at least a hand. Who knows he's so in awe of Vader he will likely cut it off himself while throwing a hissy fit.

 

i think Kylo will "give" Rey her Hero Scars,look at the old book George used,to be a hero one must have scars,one must know pain.The only way to be a hero is to suffer for others,Jon Snow,Spartacus,Harry(under the stairs)Potter.....i can go on.Plus it set's up a great battle were Kylo uses his Lightsaber for something other then computer maintenance.I mean she give him his scar,why not repay the favor?

 

i'd like to see snoke rip off kylo's arm using the force for ****ing up in tfa, since this movie is supposed to be darker and all. :^)

 

The next time Kylo takes a lightsaber blow, he should die. He was already a lightsaber punching bag in vii. The most obvious choice is Rey losing her left arm. Maybe they do something less predictable, like Poe or something.

 

I think Unkar Plutt should lose the hand or maybe one of the KOR....am honestly bored of the severed arm tradition....its too predictable if one of the new generation characters loses an arm.

 

but that's Star Wars and since they became so close to OT, someone has to loose a limb.

 

I'd like to see Rey lose a leg/foot. Change it up a bit.

I'm betting Kylo Ren is the main character in this trilogy that will get all messed up.

 

Rey will wear this, so she has plenty of arms to be ripped

 

My guess at the moment too, if someone is to lose a limb. He's got a facial scar now, so he may evolve into something even more dark and disturbing as the films progress.
