you know when it sucks to have a birthday? near or around christmas

because as a little kid relatives and, depending on when your birthday is, your parents only get you one present

it SUCKS!

 

Yup, it does. No fun as a kid. Anymore, well birthdays haven't been all that memorable. I guess 30 is a big deal, but after this, what do I have to look forward to, birthday wise? 40? Ack. 50? Meh.


At this point, I just really care about my kidses' birthdays. Jessica just turned 4, Liam turned 2, and Kyla turns 1 this December. That should be fun.

And she's just starting to walk and Liam is getting better at his potty training. //proud poppa//

 

Some of us are just grateful for the chance to live another year

 

Well, there is that.

 

You have to understand my perspective though... I've been told a few times that I wouldn't reach this age or that, and have managed to come thru on the other side everytime... So far

However, my birthday is a kind of a private thing for me. I typically go out of town (most times by myself), to get away from every thing I know, and try to have new experiences... Went to PHX on a whim... Worked for Habitat for Humanity out in Alabama one year... Went fly-fishing (though I didn't *actually* fish that time)... Took a train trip to Chicago and back... Spent 4 days in a cabin doing dang near nothing w/ a friend (well, I cooked, but I love doing that)... Went on a Horse Packing trip in Park County... Camped out for calving season on a ranch (where "hold this" takes on a whole new meaning )... And lots of other small little trips away from the "maddening crowd" that is my family.

This past year is the first time I've ever stuck around for the day... Not much happened, and I have to admit that I missed doing something new

 

I have one month till I hit the big 21. not that i actully drink that often,its just nice to be able to get in to the few fun things that pueblo ever has.

 

It's dark enough.

Drinking 64 oz of any liquid will make you pee.

I break out badly when i drink dark colored sodas, like any kind of cola or Dr. Pepper. Mountain Dew type products don't make me break out nearly as bad.

 

If have a sip of that stuff and I go off like a garden hose.

 

Night time.

 

Wow, what a busy couple of nights. Can't say a lot, but it has been the most productive, and interesting couple of nights in the last 2 months.

Oh yeah.

Work. I haven't really touched the blasters, and worked for 14+ hours yesterday. (It's nothing compared to the hours ZOO worked, but I came into work today. She just slacked. And then went begging for WOTR stuff.

Work is good right now as we work through issues and plan our future growth.

 

No slacking here... Been working from home since 7PM

 

And now I am actually going to bed
