Really hoping we get the Carida scenes back in.

Would also be interesting if it uses some of the discarded alternate ideas mentioned in the Art of book, like was considered for the TLJ:EE Canto Bight section.

I can't wait for both the movie novelization and the comic book adaption of the movie by Marvel. I hope that they do 6 issues and not trunk it down to 4. This keeps everything the same

Yeah I would love to see more of Han's time at the Academy. Solo, is seriously, my favorite of the 4 Disney SW films. Its the only one that feels like an original Star Wars movie. Force Awakens was a carbon copy of ANH, Rogue One had tons of plot holes, and The Last Jedi was good, but it wasn't Star Wars-y

What plot holes did Rogue One have?

Without wanting to get into a major derail, the big one for me (obviously a result of how edited and reshot the movie was) is that the timeline of the Tantive IV, Leia, and the droids near the end of the movie doesn't seem to make any sense. Because for it to work the Tantive IV would seemingly have to go to Alderaan to drop off Bail, came back to Yavin IV to pick up Leia and the droids, and then race to the Profundity (which left prior to the droids watching the rest of the Yavin fleet leave) en route to Scarif, and dock with it before it then continued on to the battle, remaining inside it for the entire battle.

Bail didn't take the Tantive IV home. He likely took Tantive III or another ship home.

Also the Asian characters (who I love) just pop out of nowhere and join the team without any real provocation. Also when they get back to Yavin 4, they make a big deal on how they can’t leave but then they just do it without any trouble and the Rebellion eventually goes with it as well.

Bail specifically gave Captain Antilles the mission to deliver Leia to Obi-Wan (with Raddus as escort, originally). Considering Leia was using the Tantive IV as her consular ship for diplomatic immunity against the Empire, that ship would be important for the mission, so Bail would more than likely take another ship home. He even tells Mothma he needs to hurry back to Alderaan, suggesting he's going to part ways with Antilles and Leia anyway.

Chirrut and Baze. They live on Jedha, and Chirrut senses something about Jyn -- his faith in the Force at work. It's hardly a plot hole to assume they follow her because she's fighting the good fight, and battling the forces of darkness. And does anyone make a big deal (or any deal) about being unable to leave Yavin 4? They can leave just fine, but without the backup of Cassian's recruits or the Rebel Fleet, it'd be pointless to leave for Scarif.

Their home was completely destroyed by the Death Star along with the people they spent years protecting. That's a pretty big reason for them to join.

This is rather nitpicky, imo. Also, the Leia novel established Leia was using the ship on her own for missions. Without Bail.

Yes AFTER they had already just came to them. They participated in as I recall a skirmish and their was no significance for them to follow.

I wouldn’t consider not leavin Yavin 4 so significant, if it weren’t for the fact that their was nothing impeding their departure. They make a fuss but then take off like it’s nothing. Maybe they could’ve bypassed an energy gate or snuck out through some other means; a cloaking device or droid intervention. Something

Also unrelated is the incredibly primitive means of transferring the Death Star plans. I know they had to stick with the 70’s prediction of the future, but it looked so ridiculous to have a Type II civilization using wires and having them connect to get a signal. That’s like having modern day cops using bow and arrow to fight criminals. It looks silly.

When is it indicated that Bail takes the Tantive IV back to Alderaan?

Doesn't seem like a plot hole to me.

They were captured by Saw's people.. they had no choice.

Have you actually watched the movie?

RO having plotholes is like saying ROTS doesn't set up ANH properly

There's explanations and reasons behind everything you just gotta do some searching...

    I remember reading on a "professional" website once "top 10 star wars plot holes" (this was long before the Disney deal) and the two notable ones I can remember were;

-Leia being named a Princess after her mother (Padme) even though she's meant to be hiding like Luke
-Darth Vader dying to lightening when it doesn't kill in any other films

If I recall, they were drawn to the scene by a skirmish and started talking to Jyn and friends. Then they were captured by Saw’s people.

She was an Alderaan princess because of her adoptive parents, not because of Padme.

The lightning thing is a decent point...but I wouldn't call it a plot hole. It fried his life support and ravaged his body at the same time. Plus he had just been walloped by Luke.

Also... wasn't it also just kind of a feeling blind dude had (forgot his name). And giant gun guy begrudgingly followed. And then they got drawn in after being captured.

    Seemed pretty organic to me.

So by frying his life support you could say... from a certain point of view... the lightning broke his heart?

The "blind guy" is named Chirrut Imwe. The "giant gun guy" is Baze Malbus.

Chirrut is not Force-sensitive. He’s just a holy roller. Their, another plot hole.
