I would say he uses max or lightwave.

Nice pictures, it's great to see someone who doesn't just download meshes and render them into borring scenes. I can see you took some time to work lighting and environment. I like this warm sun light in most of your pictures. I didn't know which death star Crunchy was talking about so I checked out you website. I didn't see any death star, but more picture. Nice renders

Edit: I've seen in another post some people reconized you as THE Andrew March... I'm sorry but... Did I miss something? Who are you?

Andrew is one of the Core Members of the LightWave Group. I've spent many years with him there, and was simply recognizing him as an old friend. Others probably know him from the same place, or perhaps from SFM.

His work is done in LightWave, incidentally.

He's been around a long time. I think I remember his name even from SWMA. I remember there was another Dr. guy, not Dr.Jones, who had a bunch of 5K meshes that we all used to freak out about. Now... they wouldn't be acceptable as low-rez game models.

Crunchy (Ryan), sorry mate I had a PC crash a couple of months back and lost the docking bay model including most of my reference material for it.

I did send you an email actually, I take it you didn't get it.

I will get round to building something like it again but just not yet, unless you need it quickly, in which case drop me an email via LWG and I'll see what I can do (no promises) but I might have some spare time coming up.

Thanks for all the comments Guy's

Dr. Jones, he has a really nice Death Star render on the LWG forums he made a while back.

Awesome work! How did you get those Ed Giddings models? I've looked at his website (amazing) but he doesn't allow people download or request them.

    Anyway, excellent work!

He occasionally hands them out to friends and people he knows. If you're a stranger to him, he'll simply ignore you if you ask for them.

    Yep,

    Jedi is correct.

Ed & I have a good relationship, he knows that NO ONE will get any model he gives me & in return every now and then I pay Ed to model me something a bit out of the ordinary.
