Somebody please kill Macy Gray....

The reason people get so bent out of shape is because so many idiots will think it's her song. This is ridiculous. She should jsut give up, nothing she does can put her on top of the charts.

 

Macy Gray and Lenny Kravitz have ZERO talent. They need to be shot, execution style.

 

She sounds like a frog with emphysema.

 

Lenny Kravitz has no talent? He plays almost every single instument on his own albums and writes his own material. And his songs kick ass.

 

I'll take your word that this Macy Gray should be killed, because I've never heard of her. But then again, anyone who slaughters Aerosmith should be killed

But as far as Aerosmith goes, they're an awesome band, and Walk this Way is an awesome song, but she's not the first to butcher it... remember a little rap group called Run DMC?

I used to tolerate him, whiney voice and all, until he covered American Woman.

1) He?s whiney. ?American woman, stay away from me? should not sound whiney.
2) He?s American. Americans are not allowed to cover American Woman, kthxbye.

I don?t deny that he has talent. I just think that he has a really whiney voice, and his cover of American Woman was terrible.

Linkin Park is definitely whiney, and to some degree Evanescence is as well, but Evanescence especially is whiney in a different way. When the Guess Who did American Woman, "Now Woman, get away from me" sounded like they were telling the woman to go. Lenny is more like "Please, go away and leave me alone. Please? Pleeeeeeeeeease?" Evanescence is whiney in a "I'm drowning in a sea of darkness, please come rescue me before I expire due to an overdose of melodrama."

 

I love Aerosmith, but the moment they let all those teen pop weenies on stage with them at the Super Bowl to sing "Walk this Way," the door was left open for further butchering. It's not like there aren't a thousand remakes out there today where new artists are destroying great songs. (Such as the three and half minute orgasm Jessica Simpson is having while singing "Take My Breath Away.")

 

Really, the solution is to declare the following off-limits when it comes to doing covers:

Pink Floyd
Led Zeppelin
Aerosmith
The Eagles
Queen
The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
The Doors
CCR

Somebody throw Jimi in the list of people who shan't be covered.

And all Zeppelin covers have been covered by the endless number of guitarists playing Stairway to Heaven in music stores.

I'm sure every guitarist since 1971 has done it at least once.

 

Macy Gray MUST be destroyed.

 

Stone Temple Pilots did an awesome cover of Dancing Days. In fact, I like it better than the original.

 

Three things I hate about Gray. One, that fake ditsy madeup personality she does when in interviews and stuff. No one in real life acts like that. All slow and retarded-like (not to insult the retarded) making unreal and extra animated dummy gestures. Two, her presence in the only action sequence in SPIDER-MAN. Three, the way she is pretend smoking the Cigerette in Training Day. Shes chewing gum then touching her lips with the Cigerette. Its very annoying and makes me want to jump into the T.V. and slap her into a coma. Doesnt deserve death though. Reserve that for the useless and untalented Paris Hilton.

I've never really heard Macy Gray singing, but seeing as so many people want her destroyed...sure why not?

I had to up this because I am pretty damn sick of seeing, and more importantly hearing, this she-male Macy Gray butcher Walk This Way in addition to do these seizuresque motions I assume she thinks is dancing.


Someone make her stop, seriously.

From the looks of it she's so high on drugs, she'll probably kill herself ala Janis Joplin soon enough!
