Soul mates, for the Haiku challenge
    Author: Earlybird-Obi-Wan
    Timeframe: saga 21 bby
    Genre: one shot
    Characters: Siri and Obi-Wan
Summary: reflections from Siri after solving a case dealing with the Sonim bacteria (The Sonim threat gives more about that mission)

I got for the Haiku challenge provided by @WarmNyota_SweetAyesha number nine
"Softness in her smile, Caring eyes of gentleness, A person to love."
It inspired me to write about Siri and Obi-Wan and their love as:

    Soul mates

The war had aged him. The ginger hair at his temples was showing grey, his moustache and beard had grey. Fine lines of worry were now showing near his eyes, his face.

Ohma D'un, Queyta, Score, Jabiim and Rattatak were just some of the planets where battles were fought and where he sustained injuries needing the care of the healers. And Siri.

The softness in her smile had been essential for him to heal.

Caring eyes of gentleness were now looking down on him. He was a person to love.

She knew how it began this morning.

    - - -

Her birthday started with a gift of three potted plants. The first was from Ivano Arvedai, a patient now staying in the healers' ward after giving help to the Jedi. The second was from the healers Alco Bel Kais, Aaqu Maerhin and Kaagi Adin and the third one from Obi-Wan, who had become the owner after his master became one with the Force.

She knew now all about the nephril flowers, pure white, with a tiny white heart supporting the black filaments with their creamy pollen. They were a gift from the soul, meant for soul-mates. The black had her remembering a lesson when she was very young. Obi-Wan voiced it. 'Master Yoda told us that even pure white can have a black spot. And for the opposite; black hiding the white it can but appear it will.'

The snow on her balcony had her smiling.

A nice breakfast from Serinka had been there and a lot of fun with the initiates in the garden near the healers' ward because it had snowed. Snowball fights, white washing, guiding smiling initates back to the crèche and coming back for a second fight that had ended with a loss for her.

She knew what was waiting for them when she was following him to the shed in the garden.

Cushions and blankets were there around a low table with covered plates and lit candles casting the shed in a soft yellow glow.

And Obi-Wan, his face now matching with his hair, slightly open lips and moisture from the snow on his face. Irresistible.

She kissed and it felt good with the Force swirling inside her. This was love as it was meant by the Force; passion without possession. She was for him. She was his soul-mate, bonded by the Force.

A nice candlelight dinner followed with after that dinner a second even longer kiss.

Cloaks, robes and more were discarded with a 'they are wet and have to dry' and blankets were very convenient to get very comfortable.

The soft glow of a heating element in the shed provided now enough light and warmth to have them comfortable.

Hand entwined in his, she had a soft smile on her face.

The war was now far away for him and her.

What a great use of the haiku! You incorporated it so well to show Siri and Obi-wan's romantic love story unfold and how they are soul mates. "Passion without possession " is a very interesting concept to describe their relationship.

I especially liked all the plants Siri got as birthday gifts. Now this raises all sorts of questions about Obi-wan being a plant owner which probably calls for a completely different story.....

Your haiku was perfect for this little story
Qui-Gon loved all living things and plants were in the Jinn-Kenobi residence and after that in the Kenobi-Skywalker residence. Siri and Obi-Wan are truly a pair
