Might as well try and keep around a thread that isn't about SpaceX or the USA with regards to space - and there are rather big space news occurring right now in Baikonur, with Kazakhstan moving to seize Roscomos assets in compensation for what seems to be a long list of unpaid bills... It's basically the death knell of the Soyuz-5's development. It doesn't mean Russia is running out of launch capacity, but it does mean Russia is no longer progressing in any future launcher projects.

So is it safe to assume that the scientists in Star Wars know what happens to someone or something that goes past the event horizon of a black hole, since they can physically go there?

 

They can? If someone portrayed that in a book, what happened? In reality, if I am not mistaken, all paths lead to the singularity. Once you go over there is no backwards anymore. No one has yet talked about a warp drive overcoming that.
