Man, I should never let this go that long without a post. It's liable to get pruned, now that Snowboards has decided to prune threads at their leisure.

 

No kidding. I wouldn't let any thread of mine off the first page at this point in time.

 

Who's afraid of the big bad prune, big bad prune, big bad prune?
Pruning is over rated, sure it's emotional, but it's so quickly forgotten...

 

So how's everyone doing? It has been almost 5 months since I last posted on this thread, and this will be the last time until August. So everyone have a great summer and go see Episode 2 at least 20 times.

 

Godspeed, BigHungry. Provided this thread hasn't fallen prey to the prune monster, I look forward to your triumphant August return.

Yes, you should be ashamed for defacing my beautiful thread. Now you must come up with a large hateful rant as penance, so we can get this thing back on track.

 

I hate it when people say one thing and mean another.
For example, I have this 'project' that means alot to me and have wanted to do for a while already. I talked about it one night before I even started with some 'friends' of mine.
I kinda poured my heart out, telling them why I was doing what I was doing. It wasn't about me, imho, it was about making a difference, a positive difference in the lives of others. It supposed to be something pure and inspirational.
These guys said to me, I distinctly remember the words, "Hey, we'll be glad to help! We know that you can't do it alone... let us contribute." Of course, many more words were said and I felt even more positive about carrying out my project.
I took out some money from my savings and set about to lay down the foundation of what would become my project. It wasn't cheap, dammit, and it wasn't easy either.
I had my project up soon after that, money solves many problems and opens many doors...
When lo and behold, when I went to them to carry out the next stage of the project, I got excuses instead of help.
"I don't have internet excess...", "I don't have the time..."

I won't call them liars to their faces, but let's just say that those excuses were just too convient. They never had internet or time problems before. Any funnily, both are able to forward chain-letter emails to me...

The great thing about this whole fiasco is that I learnt who my real friends are.
People that I had never meet before in RL were there for me. Yeah, those 'internet friends' that your RL friends seem to make fun off, they were the ones that saved my butt, and picked me up, out of the fire. They may not neccasarily have the same concept of the 'project' as me, but they were there nonetheless.
Whileas people that I've known since I was a wee lad, in RL even, let me down when I needed help the most. The thing that really get's my goat is that they obviously expected that I wasn't serious when they made those promises of assistance. They were just 'kidding' and when I really did it, they ate their words and ran away.
Oh, the gull of some people...

It's not about the money, the time or effort.
It's about the principle of friendship.
You're supposed to be there for your friend, in the good times and bad... especially if and when friends need help.
Help didn't have to come in the form of money, time or effort... 'support' would have been just fine.
Well, whatever, I don't hold grudges, but there's a limit to my patience.
Let's just see if they ever need help in the future, for whatever cause, I may just lose my internet connection...

 

I rant, and everybody runs away... I really hate that.

 

Post dammit... or SD will get angry with me for killing the thread!

 

I'll be an internet friend and pull you out of the fire, by posting.
