I was reading the OP on this game again and my character totally warped from the Skeptic to Gullible Girl lol. I also just remembered this game ends on Halloween 31/10/20 - that's in three days...

IT'S THE FINAL UPDATE!!!

 

Well Saori might be freaked.... but think about poor GLENN!!!! lol. He might not remember much, but he;s got the aches and scars to prove it... lol

 

Yup, I'll wrap up on Halloween, so you've got a few days of fun left. How much I enjoy these characters, am going to miss them. Almost wish it was a longer game or a fan-fic; such a wonderful odd lot.

Well, poor Smudge will need a new home when this is all over...

He is an actual cat. Which is why ROGER couldn't hear him, he's not dead.

I think I shall have to say it was dark when he ran between my legs hence why I didn't see him before.

 

I can personally attest that in a dark house black cats are invisible...and very fond of running between your legs (particularly when they think you are headed to the kitchen). I assume that your fears magnified him to seem larger than he was. I hope you all find a way to re-use these characters someday.

 

Heheh.... I have a black cat..so I can attest to that!!!

And perhaps..next year??

Happy Halloween, and thank you all so much! This is the first game I ever hosted, and it was a comfortable size and a lot of fun. I have really enjoyed it. I'm only a bit sorry we didn't get to the second floor. But that's okay. It has been a blast.

Saori entered the bar, shivering from the snowy weather. She paused as she recognised the towering bouncer. He rose from his stool, flexing his muscles, and she quailed. But then he gave a toothy grin and pointed a finger as if to say, Ha! Gotchya!

"Merry Christmas!" he said. "The others are already inside."

Saori grinned back then rushed into the hot and sweaty interior. She instantly spotted Ramona, Roland and even Clive at a table the far side of the bar. The place was packed with seasonal partiers. They waved Saori over, and Clive grabbed at a waitress to get another round of beers in.

Saori joined them for their Christmas Re-union Party, and they all traded stories of what they were up to now. Saori admitted returning to Japan, but was proud to announce she had landed a job with the Yomiuri Shimbun.

"What about Reva?" she asked.

Still in therapy, came the reply.

"And how're Smudge, and ROGER?" Saori asked Ramona with a smile.

Then it became apparent tonight was... karaoke night! The ghost hunters initially tried to pass the mike and not participate, but their inebriated fellow patrons would not have this at all. Some of the ladies really wanted to hear Clive sing.

To a round of applause, he finally gave in and selected his song. The place rocked as he belted out...



Saori was up next. She gulped and gave a technically excellent but otherwise uninspiring version of...



Dr. Quisley was not happy at all. He refused to even touch the mike until the entire bar was stamping their feet and chanting his name.

In the end, he was forced to relent. He silenced the bar - and entered karaoke legend - with an astonishing, heartfelt rendition of...



The mike was passed to Ramona, and everyone in the building held their breath, waiting to see what she would choose...

ROGER poked Ramona in the ribs. "Go on. Not like I can sing anything." Ramona chuckled softly and looked over as everyone looked towards her expectantly.

"Eh.. Nots my best. But I'll give it a try..."

Ramona stood up, grabbed the mic, and then belted out...



After she was finished, she slugged another beer down, as ROGER chuckled.
