well guess any guy that dates me will be lucky, my mum generally likes everyone BUT me

 

She does nowt...she just sit's on her fat arse giving out orders...I feel for her husband Stuart who is sound...but everyone has to do what she says..this is something I cannot and will not tolerate...

Example 2:

Last year they visited..Me and Stuart were sat in the lounge of my old flat...I asked if wanted to watch anything on DVD..

So after some delibartion we decided to watch Gladiator..Stuart ask's 'her' if she want's to watch it..

'No I wouldn't like it' she says..

So..halfway through the film...when Maximus get's to Rome and is in the middle of his first fight...she come's in and want's to know what's going on..

'Oh I think I would like this...can you rewind it and start it fro the beginning'

Me: 'It's halfway through Elaine..

'Stuart..can you start it from the start'

Stuart looks at me with a face that say's sorry..and the film goes back to the start..

I leave the room..put on my coat..tell Nina I'm off out..go around to my friends house and take drugs....not because I wanted too...because people...I had to..

Don't worry mate, I get the picture. Had similar incidents with Andrea's mother... just a question of keeping quiet and shouting loudly at people once you're out of her range

 

Poor Arun! She does sound like the archtype mother in law from hell!

It's just as scary on the 'other' side of the fence you know...

I've been very lucky in that most cases I've been approved of by the b/f's mother but if it ever came to the 'M' word it could be a hell of a lot different...

Such as the so protestant she's orange mother being faced with a girlfriend who's catholic...

You think that's bad... my ex from about 15 years ago still goes round to see my mom cos 'she's so nice'... imagine that... you walk in and find an ex sitting there and then you have to sit there and be nice to him AAAARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!! My mom hates all my boyfriends though, not that she's too keen on me either though cos I'm 'uncontrollable' lol God alone knows what she's going to make of my new boyfriend / friend, Si (we haven't decided if we should go for it or not as we live 250miles apart ) he's nuts... she'll probably love him

DQ - 250 miles... Depends on how often you'll be able to see one another.

If it's once in a blue moon, then don't but if it's on a regular basis, then go for it!

My last boyfriend I only saw at the weekend (He lived in Newcastle, I was in Hartelpool)- yet we managed to keep a loving, happy relationship going for three years... until I moved another 270 miles back home
