Umm, if you dont mind me asking, I have a question. I know you said no campaigning and asking people to vote for you, but can we tell people that they should go and vote for someone.

As in "Hey, have you voted in the RPF Awards yet? No? Well you should go and vote...."

    Is that against the rules?

We encourage people to spread the word about the Awards. Just don't run around telling everyone who to vote for!

Aren't their safeguards against that, like the clause of not nominating last quarter's winners? Granted that doesn't do much about a perennial every-other-election winner, but, I guess, as the poster before me said, that means they're really good.

We have done our best to spread the Awards around, but as with everything, it really depends on participation. When you get the same people participating consistently, you are going to get a "core group" of nominees and winners. So get your friends in here next time to nominate and vote. The more the merrier.

All I'm saying is that some players really can only win in the "New" categories. Best New RPG, etc. While I'm not against people like Integral or Hammer winning, it just seems that they automatically get votes and nominations, regardless of the project. The games are good, the GM's are good, we know all know it - let's try to get some new winenrs.

^ the RPF awards are usually mentioned in the Comms updates to my recollection.

I am not sure what awards you are following, but out of the last 8 awards sessions I only see 3 repeat winners in any of the major catergories. This is over a 3 year period, and it is no suprise that longevity and consistancy wins awards.
