ST Spy Picture -- AT-AT Foot?

hah! brilliant guys. definitely looking like an AT-AT foot prop, old and decrepit and half buried in oblivion. in not so many words a symbol of the Alliance victory.

 

Me starting to think the same thing. It could be the wreckage of an AT-AT just going by how old it looks.

 

My theory: Empire falls, smugglers/crime lords (a la Hutts) push vehicles from the old Empire fleet to remote planetary systems like Tatooine.

Super exciting that now we're in the era of leaked spy photos. This one was probably my all-time favorite.

 

I just checked the AT-AT's Twitter feed and found a not so cryptic hint;

I think that this AT-AT will likely be Imperial and we'll probably see it get downed in a battle. I doubt they would spend that much on full scale wreckage, just for it to be in the background.

 

This is why I love speculation and 7SA.

Yep, based on those comparisons indeed it does look like an AT-AT foot. I'm betting part of a wreckage.

 

Perhaps the Rebellion post ROTJ has acquired alot of the Empire's old equipment?

Seems silly to just let all those Star Destroyers etc go to waste?

 

I don't care what universe your from thats an AT AT foot.

Maybe it will be old and broken broken in the sand with Luke standing on it looking out over the dune sea....

It's probably not an AT-AT though, but if it is that would still be awesome. Kind of like the remnants of the old oppressive Empire.

Nice detective work, fellas. From the evidence and research shown that totally looks like an AT-AT foot. It also looks purposefully aged as if it was a remnant of the Empire. Damn cool.

Maybe the Jawas have traded in their sandcrawlers for AT-AT'S. Better gas mileage & better protection against sandpeople.
