I'd love to go but I gotta sit this one out-My mom's demi-centennial birthday is St Patty's Day and I am helping at her surprise party that Saturday.

Time to start getting serious about this now, less than 3 weeks away.

I won't be there myself so I don't feel I should handle organizing our side of it. Who does?

What we need is a definite commitment from those that can go. We also need rides arranged.

Probably the biggest decision to make it do we leave very early the day of (like 5 am) to do the 4 hr drive or do we leave the evening before and crash at the home(s) of Syracuse members? Either way we need to let Victoria (Strawbary) know, and how many of us to expect.

 

We aren't going to be able to make it, but I hope enough ppl can. Have a get time guys and if ya need any prep help, let us know.

I have New Hope Leia, Peasant Padme and Palpatine costumes available if anyone needs them for the parade.
If anyone's costume needs alterations or additions before the parade, I would be happy to help. Let me know!

Chris - If you give me your Jedi cloak, I will fix the facing for you before the parade.

Kevin - I have pattern and fabric for your Jedi cloak. Should be no problem to get it done in time.

Crystal - I think I will have to get thick leather from Horseworld for your Jango pouches. Old coats are just too thin. Old suitcases would do, but I wanted to try real leather. Good thing you don't need this for the parade!

 

You folks are going to have a blast !!!

 

I don't think I will be making it. I probably have to work, and I also don't have a costume. Have fun to those who do go, and thanks for thinking of us "Strawbary"!!!!

I sure am. I know we had a number that seemed to be keen on going.

 

I'm going to assume I can come. If I can't it would be on short notice because of assignments coming down on me.

Can I borrow the peasant padme costume again, Laurie? (and will you be there to do my hair? ;p) I'd rather borrow the Leia one, but I don't think it'd be long enough on me, plus I don't have enough hair for that yet.

Hey Leigh,
If you want to give the Leia costume a try, I can bring it over to your place this week. If it fits ok, we could try the hair as well. If not, Peasant Padme is yours as usual.
Eryn and I expect to be going (so I can do your hair) as long as there is transportation. With John working, there are few vehicles. Not sure what I'll be driving by the 15th. (I hope it's another van..the lease on the one I have now, is up tomorrow) Whatever I get, I'm willing to use it for the trip, but I'd like someone else to drive it.

 

My fugly van's not up to long trips, or I'd offer to drive. I want to get a car loan this summer and buy a used beetle

For this parade I'll just stick with the padme costume. It's warmer Maybe I'll try on the Leia costume another time. I think it rules

How many would be willing to flip for a hotel room for one night? We should be able to find a hotel for cheap.

 

I'm willing to do that, that is unless anyone has a place for me to stay.
