    Synopsis from Amazon:

Darth Vader is on the hunt for Luke Skywalker! Thousands of remote probes are sent into the far reaches of space looking for the Rebel Alliance. But the rebels send out desperate, heroic missions to lead them astray. Chewie and C-3PO lure a drone to a planet with an unstable core but learn of a secret droid civilization. With Star Destroyers and Darth Vader approaching, they must now protect these newfound droids. Luke Skywalker undertakes a mission to lead a drone away from a rebel refueling station but runs into the Force-sensitive human Bendoh. With Luke training to be a Jedi, will Bendoh be a valuable teacher or a simple grifter? Then, Han Solo and Princess Leia plan to use a drone to take down a local crime boss, but things get complicated when they run into Leia's ex! What could possibly go wrong?!

smells like ESB era but could be a red herring.

Interesting. I'm surprised they'd let Amazon display this information. I thought Marvel was waotiwa for celebration before annoincian the next arc. It would be timed perfectly with the July solicitations.

It could be a red herring. Make everyone think itsi right before ESB, but actually end with the Rebels finding Hoth to avoid these probe droids.

Secret droid civilization is one of the best premise right after the droid revolution. Still hoping to watch this movie at some point in the future.

That description is putting out some heavy-duty Archie Goodwin / "Classic Marvel" vibes -- very much a good thing :D

You never know who you're gonna meet at the refueling station. Is he a valuable teacher or a simple grifter? Well we'll never know, because he'll say he's both and neither at all, for he's the one in between.

Bend'oh is Bendu's less-coordinated brother, who keeps banging his head on doorframes.

    Voiced by Colin Baker.

I really, really, wish Marvel would tell more Star Wars stories in the main series that AREN'T the adventures of the Big Three. Christ, what I would give for a Mon Mothma centric story, or one about Wedge & the Rogues, or one about Ackbar and the fleet. There are a ton of supporting characters who can/should be used more. Hell, how about General Rieekan?

Pak is excellent - his Herc / Hulk run of a few years back was great.

Similarly, I'm hoping Noto can improve the art.

The good news is that the Star Wars stories aren't ending with issue 67. I thought for a minute they were going to cancel the on-going.

It's also an 8 issue arc which makes it the longest arc so far.

The trade is 8 issues, it doesn't indicate whether or not they're all the same arc.

That's unusually large for Marvel, must be doing something that stops them splitting it into 2x 4 issue volumes.

So with the preview pages starting to come out for this arc, I just have to publically and enthusiastically praise Marvel and Lucasfilm for finally changing up the art style on the mainline. Seeing Phil Noto art actually on the interior instead of the force photo-realistic style that has been running since the Yoda's sojourn arc, is awesome. Hopefully Pak's script work can pick the series back up in terms of steam and momentum on the sales charts! Looking forward to the new team on the series.

I wonder who is this mysterious ex of Leia. Maybe she briefly had one after Kier died? Kinda like Padmé and Clovis's relationship between episode II and III?
