My apologies beforehand if this is already a thread or an offshoot of another thread that was posted months ago. So far all my posts have been deleted and merged with another one.

    Anyway, I'll go first:
    1. Shadows of the Empire (both the novel and the comic book.)
    2. The Thrawn Trilogy
    3. The Darth Bane Trilogy
    4. Darth Plagueis
    5. Book of Sith
    6. The Jedi Path
    7. Shakespeare's Original Trilogy
    8. Dawn of the Jedi novel (probably the least memorable being that the antagonist did not even use the Dark Side, he was just adamantly anti-Force.)

This doesn't belong in SWC, nor does it warrant a social prefix. Moving and retagging.

    -The Jedi Apprentice series
    -The Jedi Quest series
    -The Jedi Path
-The Rise and Fall of Darth Vader
-All of the DK movie guide books (Incredible Cross Sections, Visual Encyclopedia, Locations, etc)
-Star Wars: Encyclopedia (the 1998 one)
    -I am a Jedi
-Star Wars: The Ultimate Visual Guide
    -The AotC Making-Of
    -Darth Plagueis

Wow, that's more than I realized I've read. I rented the Jedi Apprentice and Jedi Quest series out from my local library, same with the Star Wars: Encyclopedia book and Darth Plagueis. The rest I own. If you couldn't tell, I was never big on the post-Endor EU.

Let's see if I can remember them all

    Thrawn Trilogy
Rogue Squadron series (aka X-Wing series)
    Jedi Academy trilogy
Yuuzhan Vong series (although I stopped a few books short, never finished)
    Darth Vader trilogy
    Truce at Bakura
    Shadows of the Empire

There are more but that's all I can think of right now

I haven't completed reading any SW books (I'm in the middle of Darth Plagueis and loving it), but I'd love some rec's. Anyone have any particular SW books they'd like to point me towards? I'm not a big fan of anything ABY..

Shadows of the Empire or the Darth Bane trilogy. Bane was a G.

So is posting a thread in the wrong place with the wrong prefix. Especially since there is a guide in the SWC (it even says "new users please read before posting" right in the title, something you obviously didn't do) that details what the various prefixes are for. It's also annoying to see thread derailments for user issues. If you have an issue, take it up with me in a PM and I'd be happy to discuss things with you, but there is no reason to derail a thread to air your personal grievances. Just sayin'.

My bad bro. Haha. Usually message boards are pretty typical. No trolling. No name calling. No slurs, racial or otherwise, etc. As long as you followed those guidelines, you're good. I didn't realize this site was so anal retentive. Next time, when I'm not busy being a husband or a father, working, running errands, or in general just having a life, I'll be sure to read and strictly follow your rules so I won't be harassed by the "thread police".

There was no harassment. The original post I made was simply to document why the thread was moved as well as the removal/alteration of the incorrect prefix you had ascribed to it. You seem to have taken exception to that as well as to my warning to continue this discussion via PM rather than to continue to derail the thread here. Since you have not followed that simple instruction you may now continue this discussion in the Unban Request Forum. See you there.

I'd highly recommend Yoda: Dark Rendezvous, Shatterpoint and the Revenge of the Sith novelisation. All prequel era.

Darth Plagueis is my favourite novel, personally; if you're interested in novels about the Sith, the Darth Bane trilogy, and Knight Errant, are also good reads, taking place around a thousand years BBY.

I've read everything after 0 BBY, with the exception of the Junior Jedi Knights series, a couple of the ebooks, and I, Jedi (which I started reading and then got annoyed with and put it away). Prior to 0 BBY, I've only read the Han Solo trilogy, and the novelizations of the prequels. I will likely read everything else in the Before the Republic, Old Republic Era, and Rise of the Empire Era of the expanded universe.

I have no interest in reading Disney's expanded universe.

I am eight books shy of having read everything I believe if one does not include children's books. That includes the new cannon as well as the old.
