SWC22 Star Wars Celebration Anaheim Now May 26-29, 2022.

I saw that. But even the weekend after it says no rooms are available.

 

I tried the marriot across the way and it won't let me book pass April 3.

 

Yea I couldnt actually reserve anything, but I did try lol

I’m hoping that if I book far enough in advance that I can use my Marriott employee discount (explore rate) to find a Marriott within walking distance. The Marriott Marquis this time around was never available.

I just got in line for the Celebration store in Anaheim.

 

Anaheim is only 3-4 h away depending on traffic, so I'll most likely go. Can't wait to see you all again in SoCal!

 

I haven't been to California in a long time. Even though i'm tired right now, i do want to go. I guess next year would be the 40th anniversary of ESB so that would be cool.

 

We'll have to see where I'm at financially next year. Anaheim is pretty far from West Michigan. When Celebration inevitably comes back to Orlando, that's where I might attend next.

I still find it interesting that they are having one next year with future films uncertain, when they skipped in 2018.

 

A lot of hotels don't allow bookings too far in advance, especially ones near large venues. If I had to guess on a date, I'd go for mid May (week of the 18th) as ESB was released on May 21, 1980 which would be 40 years prior to that week.

I also heard a rumor that ReedPop is no longer doing this? Again, this is just, and I repeat, *just* a rumor. But another person I heard from said that the ReedPop people learned of the date at the same time that we did, so maybe something is up or Disney's bean counters really liked the dough generated from this weekend and decided to hold another one.

 

I’m not sure we’ll be able to afford it, but definitely going to start planning and saving as if we’re going. Keeping everything crossed and hoping it works out.

 

We even had Solo in 2018. Meanwhile 2020 has presumably the new TCW season and not much else.

 

It will be The Empire Strikes Back anniversary and the Cassian Andor series will have started filming. I hope it is another chance to see Harrison and Mark at a panel.

 

They could also announce the rumored Kenobi series.

I really want to go to this one. Anaheim 2015 was my first Celebration and I loved the location and the weather.

 

Gutted it's not back in UK/Europe for 2020, and unlikely we'd make it back out so soon after a big vacation to California already planned for this coming October. Ah well

 

Attended Celebration Anaheim 2015 and spent two days visiting Disneyland. Each and every Celebration is
different and I felt like a kid in a Willy Wonka candy store! So much to do and not enough time to do it.
What I really love were the food trucks outside the convention center. Some of the BEST food I've ever had
at any convention bar none.
But alas, I will not be at the next one in 2020.
I'm saving my credits for WALT DISNEY WORLD in 2021!!!!!

 

There's the Cassian Series, the rumored unnancounced show they're filming now, the ESB 40th anniversary, and the potential for a big 9 film box set, in addition to whatever they might announce for later like the GoT guys films, or Rians new trilogy.

 

Planning on being there. Its been a good 13 years since I was last at a Celebration. Should be fun!

 

Won't be able to make Anaheim next year. Maybe in the next few years I'll be able to make it to Anaheim or Orlando if they don't come back to the midwest.
