Well, made our hotel reservations.... now can somebody tell me what this is all about?

It's a blast, just everything Star Wars with a bunch of people who also like Star Wars.

 

Where's everybody staying? Looks like most of the block hotels have been sold out already. I got a rez at Wyndham Orlando.

We will likely be staying on Disney property, probably Bay Lake Tower (our home resort).
Renting a car to get around.

 

just booked my room at the red roof inn. hehe. nothing fancy but hey its a room!

 

We were able to book at Bay Lake Tower (just a 5 minute walk to the Magic Kingdom), and we'll have a car.
Once we're passed SW Night, we'll arrange a con prep meeting for those who've never been to a massive scale event like this, and to familiarize people with the area (we've spent a lot of time on International Drive where the convention center is).

Although I'd love to go, my priorities will not be for Celebration trips for the foreseeable future.

Yes, the automated queue is finally up and running.
We've run the gamut and succeeded.
Funny, though, the exact nanosecond that the queue activated, all of the VIP packages were miraculously SOLD OUT and unavailable.

 

Same thing happened last time...

 

i have to wait until possibly next friday before i can buy mine... if they last that long.

The more I learn about Sar Wars Celebration, as exciting as it all sounds....the more I am convinced that it is an activity that is for those less chronologically challenged. ;o)

Okay folks.
We need some help.

We are planning on going early to spend a few days at Disney and Universal. We haven't been to Disney in 8 years, and we've never been to universal. I am looking for advice.

How may days do we need at universal if we're really only interested in Harry Potter.?

We're planning on a Hopper pass for Disney. 3-4 days.

We'll rent a car because we like autonomy.

Any suggestions for websites, planning guides, etc?

And does everyone plan to return from celebration on Sunday? Or Monday?
