I got my stuff that I ordered with my badge from my original purchase that is it here too.

 

Sounds like somebody won't be signing autographs at Celebration next year.

 

So an outright cancellation it is, at least in terms of the in person aspect (as opposed to being postponed for later in the year).



I wonder when we'll hear about SDCC. Doesn't seem at all likely that a convention like that will be able to happen in July.

 

The pins I ordered the last time the store reopened finally arrived today. Disappointed I didn’t get Thrawn, but maybe next time.

 

Biden announced today that we will have enough vaccine for 300M Americans by the end of July, so that's really encouraging for the fall. There can still be hurdles that pop up, but we are heading in the right direction. I'm certainly very confident in 16 months we'll be good to go for Celebration.

That it is, but this brings up an interesting questions; I wonder what procedures they will do differently when it comes to Comic Cons?

If you are of the belief that we never get back to the way things were, then we just won't have cons. Either it's safe to have thousands of people walking around a building or it isn't.

It's a minor thing, but it is nice to see the social media accounts for Celebration posting more regularly.

 

Sad, but the right thing to do. I wonder if they could move SDCC for a later time in the summer. If things go according to plan (*hysterical laughter*) there should be enough vaccinations by then.

 

If anybody has the con bug and you have nothing else going on, this may be interesting to tune into for the next couple of days.

 

My guess is they are gonn have SDCC as an online event and postpone the physical convention until next year

Yeah, I think end of the year will be the absolute earliest for cons so SDCC being online this year and returning to normal next year seems right to me.
