It's settled then. Breakfast karaoke. That'll give @Padme501st a chance to order a Harley Quinn egg sandwich.

Question...What would be a good place for a breakfast meetup in Anaheim?

I think ordering room service to @ChrisLyne's room and sticking him with the bill is the natural choice.

I'd joke about making Jane go on crutches again but she actually is back on crutches at the moment so I'd better not tempt fate!

I’m seriously considering using my D23 hotel discount and booking one of the hotels closer to Disney. Considering I walked to Disney last time, I know it won’t too inconvenient

How long of a walk would it be to the Convention Center, or do those Disney Hotels have shuttles that go to the Convention Center?

The walk between Disney and the convention centre is about 10-15 minutes. They're literally a block apart. There's so many more hotels in easy walking distance compared with Chicago.

ChrisLyne is right. It wouldn’t take more than 15 mins from the Disney entrance to the convention center. And it was a very easy walk. There very well could be shuttles but I did not use them at all during Anaheim 2015.

I remember I would always hit up the IHOP across the street from the center for breakfast so I wouldn’t be very hungry for lunch on my way in. And most of the people in there were fellow Celebration goers. It’s just a very convenient layout for people who aren’t locals.

@MotivateR5D4's comments about Celebration for the 50th in 2027 over in the other thread have had me thinking today about when and where the next Celebrations might be.

With movies in 2023, 2025 and 2027 I'm kinda assuming they'd want to have events in those year. And back to April events in 2025 and 2027 for that first teaser drop.

2023 is a bit stranger. I can't see them doing August 2022 then April 2023, it just seems too close. So August again, or maybe Europe in the summer? That would avoid back to back years in the US but would make it 3 years between US Celebrations.

They could switch to annual events, they certainly have the content coming up for it, but my gut feeling is that they won't do that (at least purely in the US, maybe they could go back to the alternating years between the US and rest of the world plan that we thought they were doing after Anaheim and London?)

They could skip 2023. It will be a little early, but next year could be Rogue Squadron's Celebration. If they have the main cast and an early teaser, it would work. It'd be more than what Solo ever got.

Or it could just become an August event. Especially with Disney+ being a focus going forward.

It does bring up an interesting question though...which is more likely: a London Celebration or Superman getting his own film again?

Definitely a London Celebration [face_laugh]

Yeah, they could do Rogue Squadron next year if they have enough for an early teaser. I do think they'll want to move back to April for later films though, that first teaser drop has a much bigger impact than the BTS/2nd teaser they tended to drop over the summer.

I wonder if the next US one will be in Orlando again. I remember the speculation before that they'd alternate between Anaheim and Orlando every Celebration once Galaxy's Edge opened so Disney could get the large number of Star Wars fans to the parks.

I could see them holding 2023 for again the 40th annivesary for ROTJ, plus any news on the film rumored to come out the same year. Then not holding one in 2024, and waiting until 2025 because:

20th Anniversary of ROTS
10th Anniversary of TFA
2nd Movie of Trilogy...

They could do two in a row now for 2022 and 2023, in order to take advantage of the 40th anniversary of ROTJ as well. Then have another Celebration in 2025, and another in 2027. What's likely is that there will only be one more in the US between 2022 and 2027, with another happening in Europe during that time. When those will occur is anyone's guess. But I doubt there are going to be four US Celebrations between 2022 and 2027. Especially with the big bash in 2027 coming up.
