A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Far, Far Away...

It is a period of civil war. Across the vast Galactic Empire, brave freedom fighters struggle against the forces of tyranny and oppression. These rebels have won a major victory by destroying the DEATH STAR, the Empire's terrifying armorediniti space station.

The fight to defeat the evil Emperor Palpatine has only begun. Other Rebel groups continue this war in distant corners of the galaxy and other legends will be born...

    This is the galaxy of...

    THE STAR WARS ROLEPLAYING GAME

RPG Restrictions: PG 13. Romance is allowed, but nothing graphic/hardcore.
    ******************
    Part 1: Creating a Character

The Attributes: There are six major attributes, Dexterity, Knowledge, Mechanical, Perception, Strength, and Technical.

Dexterity is your ability to shoot, dodge, and generally act quickly with your body in general.

Knowledge is how smart you are.

Mechanical is how good you are at piloting vehicles, starships, etc.

Perception is how astute you are at noticing things, and it also determines your initiative in battle(who goes first).

Strength is how strong you are and also includes swimming, climbing, running, etc.

Technical is how good you are at fixing things, including people(medical).

Each attribute has skills underneath each attribute. Every skill under each given attribute matches that attribute as a minimum. Skills can be raised in character generation or by getting skill points at the end of the adventure. So, for example, if you have Dexterity: 3D, Blaster and Dodge, which are both under Dexterity, will both start at 3D. However you could raise your Blaster and Dodge to 5D each during chargen or with skill points, and the other Dexterity skills could remain at 3D.

    ***************************************

Your basic character sheet unit is 1D. 1D indicates that you roll one dice for a skill roll. A "typical citizen" will have 2D in a skill and a "typical hero" will have 3D in a skill, while 4D or above is considered exceptional. Whenever you try to do something that requires effort or where the outcome is in doubt, you will make a "skill roll", that is you will roll your skill against the "difficulty level". The difficulty level goes up the harder a task is. Here is the difficulty level table.

    Very Easy: 5
    Easy: 10
    Moderate: 15
    Difficult: 20
    Very Difficult: 25
    Heroic: 30

So you roll your skill level against the difficulty. Let's say you are trying to convince a villager that the empire is evil. The villager has heard some rumors about this, and a cousin was killed by the Empire, however, there is pro-Empire propaganda on his planet. The GM decides the difficulty level is "easy". Even though it in his best interests, talking someone into something falls under the "Con" skill, which is under the "perception" attribute. Your con is 3D, and the difficuly is 10. You roll the dice to see if you can convince him. You roll a 4, 3 and a 5. Not bad! Your total is 12, which is enough to beat the difficulty number. He is willing to help you in your fight against the empire.

There is another part of an attribute or skill called "pips". You can divide a 1D into 3 pips, which is basically a way of splitting up 1D. The three pips are +1, +2, and +3. +3 is actually the same the next 1D interval. So, if you have 1D+1 as a skill, it means you roll one die and add one to the total. +1 plus +1 is +2, and +1 plus +2 is the next 1D(so 1D+1 plus 2D+2 equals 4D), (2D+1 plus 2D+1 equals 4D+2, etc).

This is the basics of the 6D system, and all you really need to know to start building a character.
    *************
    Step 1:
    Choose A Template
You must choose a template, which is a basic idea for your character. These are the types of templates available.

    Alien Student of the Force
    Arrogant Noble
    Bounty Hunter
    Brash Pilot
    Ewok
    Failed Jedi
    Gambler
    Minor Jedi
    Mon Calimari
    Kid
    Outlaw
    Pirate
    Protocal Droid
    Quixotic Jedi
    Rookie Pilot
    Smuggler
    Wookiee
    Young Jedi
    Young Senatorial

So, if you are interested in playing, pick either post in thread saying you are interested or PM me, and pick a template. Jedi are fairly rare in this era, so only one Jedi will be allowed. Jedi also have some different rules/restrictions, so keep this in mind if you think you might want to play a jedi. Once you choose a template, I will pm you your attribute levels, and you will choose 7D to divide between different skills to customize your character.

If none of these templates interest you, but you are interested still, you can make your own template. PM me for instructions.

These are the basic rules, I will post more specific rules as I have time. Do not read the gamemaster only section, obviously.

    Combat:
If a player wants to attack another character, he rolls whatever skill he is using. For example, if he is shooting he uses blaster, if he is fistfighting, he uses brawling, etc. Normally, the target will try and dodge out of the way. If the target dodges, he uses his dodge skill, minus any penalties.

If a player wants to take two or more actions in a single turn, he suffers a -1D penalty for each action. So, if a player wants to shoot and dodge, and his blaster is 4D and his Dodge is 3D+1, then his blaster will be reduced to 3D and his dodge to 2D+1. The players dodge roll will determine how difficult it is to hit him. For example, if his dodge is reduced to 2D+1, and he rolls a 6, then the opponent will need to roll a 6 or greater to hit.

If a player is hit, then damage is rolled. Damage is indicated by the damage rating of the weapon. If a player is using their fists(brawling) then the players strength is used. Damage is determined as follows:
    Damage>Strength by: Effect:
1-3 Stunned -1D to all skills for this round and next round
4-8 Wounded Falls prone; -1D to all skills until healed
if wounded twice; No actions for rest of round, -2D to all skills
9-12 Incapacitated Falls prone; unconscious for 1D10 minutes. If wounded or incapacitated again becomes mortally wounded
13-15 Mortally Wounded Falls prone, unconscious, cannot do anything until healed. Roll 2D, if the roll is less than the number of rounds the character has been mortally wounded, the character dies.
    16+ Killed He's dead.

    Healing
A character can be healed by a medpac, a medic or through natural healing.
    Medpac(use the first aid skill)
    Wounded Character Is: Difficulty:
    Stunned - Very Easy
    Wounded/Wounded Twice - Easy
    Incapacitated - Moderate
    Mortally Wounded - Difficult

    Natural Healing
    Wounded(use wounded characters Strength)
    Roll - Result
2-4 - Character worsens to wounded twice
    5-6 - remains wounded
    7+ fully healed

    Wounded Twice
    2-4 Worsens to incapacitated
    5-6 Remains wounded twice
    7+ Improves to wounded

A character must wait 3 full days before using natural healing from a wound.
