It appears to be offline :/
I still might be able to get in touch with Jennifer (Naboo_Priestess) though, just drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do. I know she's not been feeling too well lately, I'm hoping she'll be back up and running soon.

On a different note, I've got another Padme gown that'll be up on Ebay either this weekend or sometime this next week. Its very nearly finished, just a few more tweaks :)

I was wondering what happened to the site, too ... I'm sorry that Jennifer's not feeling well!

Anyway, here's my latest doll. It's Stacey from the wonderful "Pink Five" fanfilms. I made her a while back and sent her to the makers of the film, but haven't posted pictures of her until now.

The blade is a paintbrush handle and the hilt is made from aluminum tubing and small metal nuts, and wrapped with pink and black leather.

I wanted to make doll sabers from little glowsticks -- I found some that are the same thickness as the necklace kind, but only about six inches long, but none were the right color for Stacey. If I ever do another doll Jedi, that's probably what I'll use.

Ooh, that's a good idea, too! I was going to use gel pens for my Jedi dolls, but hadn't yet solved the problem of the ink not going all the way to the end of the tube. Maybe I'll try glowsticks instead, if you don't mind me using your idea!

Nidrail, that is beautiful! I wasn't able to see the pictures before.

Will the Padme/Leia dolls be made by Mattel, like the Disney Princess dolls?

I wonder what sort of dolls? Like Barbie (with cloth gowns) or like Polly Pocket (with soft plastic clothes)?

I'm thankful for any sort of Leia/Padme line but I really hope they look pretty and aren't overly 'cutesy', you know?
argh. Why can't Hasbro just make regular action figures of Padme in her various costumes? (Yes, I am a complainer on this issue. :p )

If anyone here remembers and misses the doll message board that Erika (PadmeLeiaJaina) had set up that unfortunately was closed down a few months ago, I've started up a new one! Custom Dolls Message Board is now open, so please come! Join! Post! I want to make it as fun a place to hang out as the old boards were. Also, feel free to invite other doll lovers that you know of who don't post here. And please e-mail or pm me any suggestions you might have for improvement, because I'm sure I could use a lot of that! I'm very new at this, but it's going to be fun. I can tell.

Also, if anyone knows how to get ahold of Naboo_Priestess, she used to post there a lot and does such amazing work, I would love to have her at the new board. But I think her website is still down so I don't know how to get in touch with her.

do post the link Ame_V when you get the new site up!
I loved Erika's doll boards, but I'm on so many forums currently as it is that its difficult finding time for more :(

As for Naboo_Priestess, I haven't been able to get ahold of her at all. Keep trying I will, but I don't know how it will go.

    Good luck with the forums!!!

    So, what's everybody up to?

This isn't SW, but I think I've decided on sewing little plush Harry Potter dolls, sort of like this type of doll:
    http://i3.ebayimg.com/02/i/000/ac/f9/b0b9_1.JPG
Note: This is not my auction, or my doll. I have one just like it, but this one isn't mine. ;)

If I like the way my dolls come out, I may try to make some Padme ones. Who knows!

I hadn't! Very interesting. I wonder why they made her face "realistic" instead of cartoony?

I've actually been working on a version of this costume for a custom order, a My Scene partial repaint:

    [image=http://blue-eyedpadme.com/images/100_2211_WEB.jpg] [image=http://blue-eyedpadme.com/images/100_2213_WEB.jpg] [image=http://blue-eyedpadme.com/images/100_2217_WEB.jpg]

I still need to make the boots and belt, and the second glove. :p
