A/V Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures

Just meant that having them only be less than sixty seconds long to appeal to younger audience's shorter attention spans just feels insulting towards kids if you ask me. If a four year old likes something they don't care if it's long.

The whole "kids these days prefer bite sized content" line always sound like it's never giving kids enough credit and more of a cop out for low budget content.

For the record I've liked what I've seen personally. I was just expecting at least two minutes like Forces of Destiny.

I can't believe that people over at the youtube site are being Debbie downers. That's why star wars is in the state its in. I like these shorts and you know what, I thought its ingenious to try something like this. Star Wars could use an boost it can get.

 

The animation of this show is exactly what I want out of an entire series (in fact it's what I hoped Resistance would be). Would this type of animation be cheaper or more expensive per minute than Resistance, for example?

 

Not sure. You would think cheaper, though.

 

For short animations, hand drawn 2D like this is cheaper than 3D cgi. For a season of 20 minute episodes, 3D cgi animation is cheaper by far, as once you have built your 3D models, you just move them around on the computer like a toy to make the animation, which is much quicker and cheaper than drawing thousands of frames worth of 2D character animation.

New episodes up. Really love all of them, especially the Han and the Emperor ones.

 

Damn, I find most of these to be extremely unnecessary, but that small snippet of Palpatine vs Windu et al makes me want an animated version of that full scene.

the only "new" content I can see is the Han & Chewie one, the rest of it is basically Star Wars recaps done in anime style but it looks awesome and it's a fun way to burn a minute so it gets a pass.

 

I finally get why these shorts exist! To sell toys based off the animation as well as a mini comic!

I'm sure Lucas would be spinning in his gold-plated emperor's tomb built from the wealth of merchandising rights.

 

I think Hasbro has cheaped-out with the toys. I would have preferred figures based off of the character's likeness in the shorts.

 

Yeah the toys are just your basic Star Wars figure, very disappointing. I thought about getting them when these shorts started as I thought they would use the same animated style...they dont.

 

I liked the Emperor one. Interesting that they took the "Vote now!" chant from AOTC and moved it to Palpatine's declaration of the Empire. Makes it seem like the senators were begging to have the chance to vote the Republic out of existence, rather than just acquiescing to their leader's decision to impose the change.
