Gaming Star Wars: Hunters

So there is a new Star Wars game coming out for the switch this year.

Description seems a little vague. How is it going to be different from Battlefront?
But at least it's free, so if it's no good then money wasn't wasted.

Well, you see, unlike Battlefront this will be on mobile devices and is aimed at getting some of that sweet, sweet Fortnite money rather than that "merely okay" Call of Duty money.

 

Mobile huh? Get your wallets out then.

 

I had my suspicions during the Nintendo Direct and the end of the press release in the OP proved them well-founded.

Nope, pass. Can someone tell Lucasfilm to make games with a plot, not just a Smash Bros/Tekken/Mortal Kombat-esque game?

I will give it an 8/10 for character design.

I know i haven't picked up NuCanon EU stuff since the Disney Snap, but are droids force sensitive now?

It’s a mystery. The character design is decent

 

Honestly, if they had gone the route of saying "this is super non canon" and then made the game with established characters I could see myself having some interest, not my type of game anyways but I can't say I'm particularly interested in fighting Not Chewbacca with not Not Din Djarin.

 

Somewhat intrigued by this game, but we shall see.

 

Okay the reveal in the trailer that it's actually a bunch of separate arenas in a mass battle royale wasn't half bad. But if they're bringing in a Star Wars fighter game, you can't do it without Hoar

 

I have the ROTS game if I want duelling, which still stands up well to this day.

I think this looks like fun, not perfect, but fun.

 

Nah, it's just been programmed to believe in the Force, which I think is pretty fun.

 

I like the nigth sister with red blade. I hope even if game is not the characters could be canon. I love for more force wielders post OT era, like this one.

 

Seems it will get a novel, so maybe some of the characters will be canon and coiuld appear in other things post OT.

 

I just hope the tie-in novel is even a tenth as wonderful and well-written as the apex of the Star Wars video game tie-ins:
