Oh maybe I'll have to go back and re-read that arc sometime but I was under the impression that Han was already pretty familiar with Aphra at that time Vrogas Vas happened?

 

He just had heard of her. And Aphra herself said that she had never heard of Han before she got briefed by Triple-Zero about Luke Skywalkers friends.

So I guess this confirms that Thandie Newton won't be playing Sana in the movie like some have speculated.

 

That has already been confirmed in the recent EW articles. Her character's name is Val.

Huh. That synopsis sounds like a legit old school EU Star Wars novel. I might can dig it.

 

I'm guessing Leia and baby Ben appear in the beginning and the end, as Han wouldn't want to take his new family on a dangerous mission. Super excited to see those moments though.

Curious who the love of Lando's life is and if she appears in the Solo movie....

Following in the footsteps of Lt. Kettch and Tarfang.

 

So shades of Doc Vandangante with the mad inventor, a multi-era quest a la Millennium Falcon, inspired use of Ewoks, a bit of a "one last adventure while the family's away" vibe from The Last One Standing... plus it being a Han and Lando adventure... yeah, this feels pretty dang EU.

 

Either Lando meets Tendra (who could be aged up because she'd be what 17 in 5 ABY) or they have given him a new love interest. It also seems that Lando is staying at Cloud City rather then moving on (which to be honest I did prefer).

 

I'm getting a Brian Daley Han Solo Adventures vibe from that synopsis. Sounds like this is going to be a fun one.

Hm. I agree. I hope yours and others' enthusiasm rubs off on me because I'm very uneasy about this right now.
Because the synopsis really does sound like Classic Legends.

I wasn't sure what I wanted the most as a tie in novel: should it be centered in Han or Lando? But they gave us both in one package! Thanks a lot!
Loved the idea that the story will take place in different eras. Can't wait to see Han and Lando in a an adventure post ROTJ, that's classic EU.
It will be great to see more of Han and Leia married, and little Ben!
