Saga Star Wars Mondegreens (Misheard lines)

Tl,dr, it’s any line of dialogue that one has misheard.

I got the idea to make this thread because I found out just yesterday that I’d been mishearing a line in TPM. It’s from the scene where TC-14 tells the Neimoidians about the Jedi:

Nute Gunray: What? What did you say?!
TC-14: The ambassadors are Jedi Knights I believe
Daultay Dofine: I knew it. They’re here to force a settlement.

Then here comes the line I misheard:
Gunray: This time I will contact Lord Sidious

Except that’s not the line! He actually says:
DISTRACT THEM, I will contact Lord Sidious

Which makes a lot more sense in hindsight, considering Dofine’s reaction:
“Are you brain dead? I’m not going in there with two Jedi! Send the droid.”

I feel silly now, I had just assumed Dofine was worried that Sidious would force them to confront the Jedi (which he does end up doing.) Part of the reason I misheard the line was obviously the accent, but I think the delivery threw me off as well. He doesn’t really pause between “Distract them” and “I will contact Lord Sidious,” so it kind of fooled my brain into thinking he said something else.

I’m curious to know what others have misheard (and if anyone else had misheard the Gunray line too.)

 

When Padme said "Come back, I love you!" I thought Anakin replied with "Whatever!" instead of "Liar!" "Whatever" in that context feels out of place in Star Wars, but that was what it sounded like the first time I watched.

Also, when I first watched A New Hope, I didn't get that Obi-Wan was mind-tricking the stormtroopers. I thought they were repeating what he said to mock him.

 

OK, so let me preface this by saying I was 13 at the time....The Phantom Menace. Qui-Gon runs into Jar Jar Binks and has to save him from the droids. After which, Qui-Gon says:

"Are you brainless? You almost got us killed."

What I heard was something different...

"Are you brainless? You ruined my Scottish kilt."

Now, I don't know why Qui-Gon would have referenced kilts and I can't blame not understanding his Irish accent because I'm Irish. But for some reason I misheard "Got us killed" as "Scottish kilt" and I was definitely confused for a while.

 

Well, Liam Neeson DID play Rob Roy...

 

I could barely understand Boss Nass the first time I saw TPM.
