Star Wars MUD

Im posting this topic to try and get more people to join a mud I recently rejoined.

Choice of about twenty races, it has a lot of the factions youll remember from the movies player commandable ships.

If you dont have a client to get into the mud then you can download a free trial one here.... it never stops working if you dont pay, you just get a screen that comes up while its loading.

I don't mean to sound ignorant but what is a MUD?

 

Multi-User Domain (Dungeon)

It was one of the first multi-player roleplaying games around. Besides from being all text and using your imagination, it's similar to Everquest and the like. Skipped many a college class and scored many bad grades when those first appeared.

 

So is it just like pen and paper except everything is done on screen? Or am I way off base. Sounds fun if it is just a text translation of the RPG.

 

Exactly. If you remember some of the old games like Zork, it is very similar but it is multiplayer.
