Yes, it's region free. Amazon information is not always accurate, especially before a release comes out.

 

Just thought: what if each disc has a hidden easter egg in the menus like TCW and each one is an episode of The Bad Batch

 

I thought Blu Ray was by its nature region free?

 

No, there are 3 regions on Blu-Ray instead of the 6 on DVD. Many companies like Warner Bros. release most of their region-free anyway. Disney has a pretty good track record as well so Rebels being region-free doesn't surprise me.

 

It also says the audio is a mere lossy Dolby Stereo. What's Disney doing????????

 

Hmm on the eve of its release, Amazon listing for blu-ray has gone AWOL with no info on if they will be selling the blu ray release.

Can someone tell me if this has Spark of Rebellion and the shorts. Or just the episodes?

 

It has all the shorts plus episodes including SOR

 

It has Spark of Rebellion (presented as 2 separate episodes). The Blu-Ray also has the shorts.

 

Yup, and Spark of Rebellion is the extended prologue one, with Vader and the Inquistor.

In a few weeks we'll most likely be getting some news on the release of a Star Wars Rebels season 2 on Blu-ray/DVD. Been looking around to try and see if there's a leak of a release date like with season 1, but nothing so far. Expecting an early September release, though.

 

Perhaps they'll annonce it at Celebration?

 

That's my guess. Around June 20th they announced season 1, but with Celebration a month later they'd probably save another news announcement for the event.

 

Woohoo!! Very exciting!! Glad they announced it finally, and we get it end of August!!

Why can't Disney have lossless audio on these releases?

 

Finally will be able to watch this series!!!

Hopefully I can watch Season 3 as it goes out on air in the UK this time round...

I hate using online services to watch stuff. I will never go that route.

 

I watched it on Amazon prime but when I was halfway through watching it they split the season into three parts so I had to pay for each part individually which was a bit annoying.

 

They pulled a similar trick on iTunes.
