While I don't expect it right after Resistance ends, I can see them announcing it very shortly after TCW begins. So, late February or early March. The big news this month is going to be Project Luminous and the first details about the 2022 movie.

 

I hope this is true, would be so good and another great direction for Animation and Filoni

 

I’ll admit I’m more interested in this than I am in whatever the next series of films will be.

 

I think this along with a series detailing Luke's adventures after ROTJ would be great. Since there are apparently two rumored cartoon series, right?

 

The other show is rumoured to be a Doctor Aphra show . Though I would prefer a Luke , Han and Leia show.

 

I think both shows can include Luke with him searching for jedi relics and maybe going into the unknown regions. Han and Leia could cameo.

If I’m not mistaken, that guy was the same one who ran the Rebels Sequel rumour in the first place, so it seems like it’s more or less just a reiteration of the same thing.

 

I know he's a friend of Jason Ward. I really do think this is true.

 

He says after clone wars has ended this rebels sequel will be announced. Then soon we will now if the rumored plotine is true too.

 

Turns out that “leak” about Ezra and Thrawn fighting the Grysk was outright taken from someone’s fanfiction....

 

Ladt night I dreamed that Hera tracked down Thrawn in the UR and while their two ships were dunking it out the Vong showed up.

So apparently my subconscious wants this show to happen pretty badly too.

 

wait does this mean if this supposed series does happen in November (right in the middle of Mandalorian S2) that we'll have to chose on a Friday at 3 AM EST to watch Hypothetical Rebels Sequel Show or Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 5?

I will simply look at the D+ app and then cry with indecision, probably.

 

You know, this show is probably real. It’s probably a thing in development just by nature of how Rebels ended and the fact that most of these characters have been off the table in other media works. And they’re probably reasonably well into development for it.

But I have to think that the same two guys who have been reiterating this specific rumour are probably pulling the Winter/November release date out of nowhere.

 

So, this thread has got to nearly 5 pages with nothing but rumour bollocks?

 

Pretty much, yeah. No one of any real repute has reported or commented on it.

 

I propose since they closely mirrored parts of Princess Mononoke in Season 3, they should use Spirited Away as the inspiration for Ezra's journey to the Unknown Regions in Rebels-Sequel.

 

Man, I hope this rumor is true, but you know what. What happens then after that story gets told? I understand the Doctor Aphra series may be being made. (Still a rumor) , But where can star wars go in animation form? TCW, Rebels, and Resistance are use to telling these tie-in type stories what happens when the Rebel sequel stuff gets told? What else can be told that doesn't appear as another repeat of the same thing? In season 5 of TCW, the episode where there are on Onderon, the General to the imprisoned King looks a bit similiar to Captain Doza just a bit skinner. Tam from Resistance almost has the same facial features as Steela from TCW.

 

We will probaly get stories in animation stories from ROTJ to TFA and am sure they make sure not to repeat too mutch. I hope the animation team also go into the 10 years between TPM and AOTC and feature young Kenobi and Annie.

 

I imagine that they’ll continue to work animated series in the context of whatever else they’re doing with the franchise. High Republic might be a decent guess for whatever era they want to explore on tv.
