I'm pleased it was clarified... but, yeah, that "poor comment on society" stuff was a bit much.

 

I would love it if he completely misidentifies her species and culture because she doesn't do the cubist art style from TCW.

In terms of rooting: Don't root for anyone, just enjoy the explosions.

Am getting a distinct Poochie vibe from the graffiti aspect however a cute female mandelorian whose job involves making things explode does counteract that more.

One thing that I do like from the snippets of the character descriptions is the ANH vibe of "throw a bunch of different characters from all different aspects of the universe, toss them into a blender, and out comes the drama/coming together as a team". That works in a lot of different stories but I really dig when they do it in Star Wars, which was harder to pull off in the PT era with Jedi-Jedi-Jedi-Jedi, etc.

 

God forbid this show make any references to TCW, ever. And Jango and Boba not being Mandalorians was a Lucas directive.

 

If you have seen TCW, the three parter that introduced the Mandalorians also introduced some peculiarities unique to the TCW!Mandos. One that was in the background was what you could call a highly developed artistic culture (this is further enforced in a commentary of the Mandalore Plot Filoni did at a live showing of the episode where he thought the Mandalorians were suppose to have a very developed culture). Her being a graffiti artist I think lines up with what they were trying to show there that it was a warlike race that also had a developed artistic culture. It also lines up with graffiti being used as a sign of revolution/rebellion/counter culture in our world.

 

Looking on the bright side, Randy Stradley finally got his pink Mandalorians.

 

Personally I think he will shock her by correctly identifying every stile and technique that she have used.
Also I think we can see traces of cubism in her stile
