Honestly I didn’t expect any more show announcements at celebration

 

Only thing that is not exciting to me is the name, it doesn't exactly scream Star Wars to me. But I do love the concept, especially if most of the show takes place on a ship, you can have a smaller budget and really focus on taking some chances. I'm hoping for some real scary elements even though it does feature kids.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if we got more shows being announced. It is only Thursday.

 

I like that name a lot better than the Skeleton Crew. I feel like we're on a pirate ship lol. Where is Jack Sparrow or the Swiss Family Robinson at lol

I kind of hope it is more just a fun story that's set in the Star Wars galaxy. It won't last, but I've been missing the small-scale aspect since Mando S1.

That sounds fantastic, especially when framed in the context of a Spielbergian, 1980s Amblin vibe.

 

Sooo...small group of kids gets their hands on a ship in an otherwise isolated location and gets lost in a wider galaxy....

Kind of reminds me of Star Trek Prodigies, which I find very funny considering a bunch of people commented that said show almost felt more star wars and star trek. Liked it anyway, so wouldn't mind seeing a star wars version...though given the "staring kids but not for kids" line and Stranger Things comparison, I guess the tone is probably very different. Should be interesting either way.

 

Yeah I wish more of Star Wars was “small scale” like that tbh.

sorry for the double post, but I couldn't resist. After all, no one is ever really gone.

 

Can't wait. Expanding the SW galaxy in live-action is pretty much what I've always wanted.

 

I would love for this show to have no connection to other characters or events, but for the crew to just explore weird obscure Legends planets that you'd think could never work in live-action.

 

I also want minimal connections to the major players of the GFFA, but I wouldn't mind if the main characters come from Luke's academy and then go off on their own adventure. Kids with underdeveloped Force abilities having to find their own way in the galaxy without the guidance of a teacher could be an interesting storytelling opportunity.
