A/V Star Wars: The Bad Batch Series Discussion Thread

I would bet on a confirmed release date on Disney+ day.

 

As sad as it is to contemplate, I don’t think we’ll be getting Season 2 of Clone Force 99 this month. Or even likely this year. Quite sad, really. I’m looking forward to that show more than any other upcoming series.

True. The fact though that we will have a weekly live action show running pretty much until December takes the disappointment away a bit.

 

Think we'll see Sgt. Slick from that very early episode again? I found him really interesting because to the characters in the story he just seems like a traitorous slimeball, but we then audience know with the benefit of the movies that he was actually completely right.

He could've just been executed offscreen, of course.

 

I’ve been rooting for the return of Slick for a while! I’d like to see him also join the Underworld, maybe as an information broker selling old Republic secrets.

 

Not sure about Slick. But I do think we’ll see the return of my favourite clone trooper of all.

The day they release a Black Series figure of this guy will be a happy day for me.

Can I just say that it makes me so happy to see others out there who secretly harbor dreams of Slick's return?

Wait, 13 eps of Andor + Tales of the Jedi, yeah, I'll be fine.

 

The amount of Star Wars tv for the fall/winter is incredible. I can't imagine people continuing to say "it's dead" with stuff like this happening.

 

Plus the next wave of High Republic.

 

Bad Batch and Mandalorian will air at same time, lol.

 

Pretty much the only people who are saying it's dead these days are the ones still obsessing over how much they hate Last Jedi almost five years after the movie came out.

 

That film has an amazing ability to really hack people off, as evidenced by a friend who I was talking SW with, who wasn't happy about the Kenobi series. Then he linked to the one that wrecked Luke. There can be only one leading contender for that.

I'm not a fan of TLJ. I think it's a one-trick one-time film at best but have said all I'll ever say. Anything now will be repackaging.

One thing is certain - there will never be another cinema blockbuster like TLJ.

 

With no less than ten confirmed full seasons of Disney+ projects on the horizon (Andor seasons 1-3, Mando seasons 3-4, Ahsoka season 1, Acolyte season 1, Skeleton Crew season 1, Bad Batch season 1, Visions season 2. and probably more that I'm forgetting), it's hard to imagine even the most bitterly angry fans truly buying into "Star Wars is dead" rhetoric. Like... reality has got to set in at some point.

 

Er.... there's this perpetually burning forum over yonder that violently disagrees.

 

Actually, going by how Favreau kept referring to Mandalorian season 3 as coming out in “2023” as opposed to specifying February, it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s been delayed to May or the like.

 

Sceleton Crew will come out in 2023, same with Ahsoka if im not mistaken? So thats 3 live action shows in 2023. Would they wait until Bad Batch ends?

 

I actually lost a friend because we disagreed on that film. Two different generations of Star Wars fans managed to disagree so viciously that it wrecked a friendship that had lasted for eleven years. For that and other reasons, I try not to think too much about The Last Jedi.

 

That's sad to hear about.

 

Its highly controversial, I gotten into arguments over this. I try to just watch it myself and enjoy.
