So much news today

 

Really excited about this one, they could do all sorts of stuff with it! I hope it'll be something sort of like The Animatrix.

 

SW anime shorts... Interesting.

 

Love Death + Robots is one of my favorite shows of all time and I'm a huge anthology buff, so can someone please just feed me this series through a tube for maximum concentration?

 

Yes! Animatrix!
Just be all style, without having to be an addition to canon.

 

The Animatrix is one of the best things that have happened in this life.

This SW addition is a wild card!

I think these will be consider canon at least the story parts

 

I would bet that Titmouse (SW:Galaxy of Adventures) will animate one or two stories. Polygon Pictures (Star Wars Resistance) might be doing some also. What other studios do you think could be hired?
Star Wars animation by Madhouse or Wit Studio would be amazing!

 

Star Wars as created by Studio Trigger would be GODLY.

 

Maybe Blur Studio is another possibility. They did the SW:Knights of the Fallen Empire trailers too.

Really excited about this one. Can't wait for what era and characters they will explore. Hopefully it will have multiple seasons in contrast to most live-action series.

 

Like are they existing characters or new ones?

 

I love anime, so this makes me very excited!

Can't wait to see which Japanese directors and studios they picked for this.

 

I love the idea of this series. There are so many great things they can do here.

Did they mention if it was going to be canon? I don't think they said, but I could be mistaken. If they didn't say it wouldn't be, I'd bet that it will. I'd think they'd throw a disclaimer on that right away if it was meant to be something like the old 'Infinities' comics.

 

And why not?! OG cartoon anime stylee. But it doesn't have to be just super-action-fight scenes. Could be Ghibli-like.

A short film can be less than a minute long. Shorts is short for short films btw,

The Love Death and Robots episode about killing Hitler can't be much more than 5 minutes long.

 

Love anime and so I will most likely love this as well. If not all of it I’m sure there will be some highlight episodes. Another benefit will be they can jump around the timeline so that will be interesting as well.

What I would give for a Studio Ghibli take on a Star Wars short story. Would never happen in a million years but I can dream.

More realistically I’d love to see something from Wit Studios or even the guys who did the Castlevania series for Netflix. I loved most of the shorts from Love, Death and Robots although that was more western style animation.

Or even better - Genndy Tartakovsky.
