I might go, but I've never met you (or anyone else in VicFF for that matter). :p

It just depends on when exactly it is, because my mom is coming to visit me in mid-Dec and she'll probably ... not want to make a roadtrip down to Sydney to see a Star Wars exhibition.

Well if we don't do a roadtrip we will most definately have to arrange a group booking for the Melbourne exhibit.

I would love to go see it either in Sydney or here. My sone would go crazy over all the stuff they would have. It would hard for me to tell him he couldnt wear them-beacuse he would so like to.

I think a group trip in one form or another is a definate. It's just a question of when and who'll be there.

OK everyone, here is your chance to have a say, Follow this link and watch all five 'promos'. Then, the Powerhouse Museum wants us, the fans, to vote on which advert we think should be used to promote this event!!! Powerdroid (whom I know and have dealt with in the past, and is a wonderful person) wants us as the Australian Fans, to help them decide which one would be best....personally, number five kills me! LMAO!! So please, all go look and vote, and have a good laugh!!

I liked 4 and 5 the best-thats beacuse I think OB1 is the best character EVER. Sorry had to let that out. I would vote for 4 because they kinda laughed through 5 during most of it. Those brothers are hilarious.

They should have used some real fans for the ads...make them more appealing to the average person.

Man that was almost too painful to watch and yet I know that some of that is me.

Surely there must be a way to advertise SW on a scientific level without a nerdy element.

Personally, it probably would have been better to have some kind of science based ads, rather than 'oh look, we're nerds. laugh at us!' There could have been a nice little look at behind the scenes stuff, a glimpse of how things work etc etc.

I mean, it's 'science meets imagination' right? Not Nerds Gone Wild :p

I've seen the Laguna Beach volume of Nerds gone wild, but supposedly the best is the Cancun volume. 8 hours of scientific debauchery!

I'm always a firm believer that being a nerd has a time and a place. Unfortunately if it's the wrong time and the wrong place it will mean that the wrong people will bare witness to it, which in turn compounds the whole "Star Wars loser geek" mentality.

I'll freely admit that I've been in situations (parties mainly with mundanes), where I've switched the nerdy side of me off (yes hard I know), but a dude nearby hasn't done this and wants to start up a nerdy discussion and it's been embarrasing.

I'm a big advocate of "nerds of the world unite!" but I also know there are times where we have to act in stealth :)
