Beyond the Saga STAR WARS XI: THRAWN STRIKES! - Spoiler Warning!

Warning: General SW Saga Spoilers Throughout.
Notes Ackbar and Ben Solo, as Captain Phasma and others thought dead such as Bib Fortuna, did not die in Episodes 7 and 6 respectively. Episode 9 ought to be retconned to take the scene where Ben Solo becomes one with the Force out and edit him with deepfake cgi into the celebration at the end. He needs to marry Rey.

I got the idea for the Coruscant Accords from Cardinal West but he need not worry because my scripts are very different from his, but I credit YouTuber Cardinal West with that concept and have contacted him twice trying to collaborate with him on this Trilogy but so far he has not gotten back with me yet. I won't borrow his Thrawn Senate coup speech without his permission, but that may be in Episode 10, a started yet unfinished script.

I hope you enjoy and would appreciate feedback when the last scene is written. I just started this earlier this year. There is a link to its sequels in my sig. Like George Lucas, I did the middle trilogy first. I know 13, 14, 15, 17, 12, 11, 10, 16, 18 seems like a rather catawonky order, but its how I roll.-study3600.

Credit goes to Timothy Zahn for Thrawn, the Noghri, Luuke, C'baoth and the opening scene to a point. All the rest of the movie is pretty much completely original except for the location and possibly the outcome of the movie's final battle, the Bilbringi Shipyards and the battle of Kuat Drive Yards near the end of Episode 10: The Ordu Menace. Things like Niles ferrier, Garm Bel Iblis, and a hundreds of other side plots and characters such as Ch'hala trees, winter, ghent and Mara Jade are no where in this whole trilogy, way too much material for a 2 hour enjoyable film anyway and way too rote and unoriginal for me to rework and make into something I, not Zahn, created. Like Dave Filoni and George Lucas, I borrow form legends material sometimes, but I have made the proper acknowledgements. Thank you Cardinal West and Timothy Zahn. So, here goes.

THRAWN STRIKES!

HAVING ABOLISHED UTTERLY the CORUSCANT ACCORDS, GRAND ADMIRAL THRAWN CONSOLIDATES CONTROL OF ALL OF the OUTER RIM and many of the MID RIM worlds as he and DARK JEDI MASTER JORUUS C'BAOTH plot to RETAKE the GALAXY from CONTROL of the NEW REPUBLIC completely. Having DEFEATED the DREADED ORDU ASPECTU, REY and BEN RETURN from the PLANET YAVIN 4, HAVING spent a GREAT DEAL of time in its MASSASSI ARCHIVES, RESPONDING TO a DISTRESS SIGNAL FROM the JUNGLE PLANET of HONOGHR. LITTLE DO they KNOW that LUUKE, SINISTER CLONE OF the DECEASED JEDI GRAND MASTER LUKE SKYWALER, and APPRENTICE to JORUUS C'BAOTH, continues to HUNT them, not content to REST until they are BOTH DESTROYED and all THREATS to his Master's power are NEUTRALIZED....

REY'S MODIFIED A-WING and BEN'S FIGHTER approach the PLANET HONOGHR.



SC 02 EXT HONOGHR-UPPER ATMOSPHERE-DAY

REY and BEN START their LANDING CYCLE.

REY: The Distress Signal is coming from Sector 227 on the Western Hemisphere North of the Equator.

BEN: Be wary, dear. I sense danger, and a trap.

REY: I will go alone, dear. Be a one-man blockade, and monitor the skies up here for unfriendlies.

BEN: Certainly, honey. Will do.

SC 03 EXT-HONOGHR-LANDING SITE-DAY


REY: Stay with the ship, BB.

REY SKYWALKER-SOLO walks through the swamp, dodging large vines and low hanging boughs and cutting a swath of a through-path with her blade.

REY: I sense I am being tracked and followed, by many sentients, but they hide. Come out!

SUDDENLY, an ELECTRIC NET comes down upon REY, and she tries cutting it with her blade but a SHOCK immobilizes her. She is surrounded by NOGHRI, poised with WICKEDLY SHARP KNIVES to KILL HER.


SUDDENLY, their LEADER PAUSES.

NOGHRI HUNTING PACK LEADER: That scent! It is...is it..no...FREE HER AT ONCE! Do no harm to her!

The NOGHRI free her from the net. The LEADER grabs her LEFT HAND, brings it up to his nose and sniffs deeply. Rey looks confused.

NOGHRI HUNTING PACK LEADER: It is! It is! All hail the Mal'ary'ush! All hail Lady Palpatine!

Rey looks very troubled by this.

REY: Who are you?

LEADER: We are the Noghri. At your service. We will escort you back to your ship, and make contact with you at a later date. We have much to discuss in our Elder's Council Meetings.


REY: You-you're Thrawn's thugs. Why-


LEADER: Acknowledged. As I said, we have a lot to discuss. For now, you need to flee. Luuke hired us to kill you and your husband Ben, using you as bait. Now, go, quick! We will escort you.


A crackle of static is heard and Ben's voice coming from a COMLINK Rey's LEFT WRIST says:


BEN: Get back to your ship, honey. We need to leave, NOW. I sense a great disturbance in the Force. We should never have come here.

REY: I'm on my way, dear.

The AI in the A-Wing lifts BB-8 back into the MECHANIC'S SEAT and REY hops aboard her ship, using the Force and a flip to jump in, open the canopy and close it behind her. The NOGHRI look on as the ship rockets into the ATMOSPHERE and INTO SPACE.

 

SC 04 EXT SPACE

REY'S A-WING joins Ben's fighter. ARTOO is in BEN'S FIGHTER WING.

SC 05 INT BEN'S COKPIT

BEN: I believe we should go to Farsha IV. I sense Luuke is hunting us.

REY: Let's prepare to make the jump. On my mark.

SUDDENLY, from behind a piece of space rock, comes the SATISFACTION, the modified X-WING with TWIN ION ENGINES, of LUUKE, painted JET BLACK, firing in a spitfire fashion a deadly spread of laser blasts at the FLEEING SHIPS. They are hit. A chase ensues. The TWO FIGHTERS crash land on a semi-barren moon with farms, vegetation and waterfalls.

SC 06 EXT MOON OF HONOGHR-CRASH SITE
Some Duros farmers is straw hats flee from the crash site. LUUKE lands, and leaps out. His droid, an Imperial R2-Unit, painted black, pops out as well. The droid, R2-E7 pumps oil all over the TWO FIGHTERS then sets them aflame with his retro rockets. BB-8 and R2-D2 escape intact and BEN and REY leap out, flip twice landing on their feet SIDE BY SIDE and cross sabers with LUUKE. While they are fighting Luuke, BEN spins and slices R2-E7 in half. The battle is furious as, tit for tat, Luuke and the other two combatants trade blows. Duel of the Fates music blares as the duelists go at the fight madly.
The Duros farmers, arming off sweat, watch in wonder as BEN Force-pushes LUUKE into the waterfall and BB-8 and R2 zap the waterfall, but Luuke flies out in a Force bubble and uses Sith lightning to hold the JEDI at bay. Then he stops the lightning and REY and BEN circle him, but he begins to twirl his two bladed lightsaber like the Inquisitorious of old, and it is all they can do to keep up with him and not die.

REY: It's a standoff. Let's go.

They Force-zip up the cliff face of the waterfall side onto the barren footpath above into some tall brush. Luuke leaps up and falls gently onto the cliff face, then gives chase.

BEN: Find a ship, honey. Any will do!

REY has a flashback of escaping the planet Jakku with Finn. Then she sees a large freighter hidden under some brush. She uses the Force to clear away the brush, then Ben uses the Force to yank up the landing gear which sounds rusty and yank down the boarding ramp. They leap in.

LUUKE: Cowards! Come fight me!

The door closes.

LUUKE: You have elected the way of cowardice. Tsk.

The ship takes off.

SC 06 EXT MOON OF HONOGHR-CRASH SITE

The FREIGHTER picks up R2-D2 and BB-8, then takes off into SPACE.

SC 07 EXT SPACE

The freighter jumps into a CAVE-I enhanced Hyperspace.

 

SC 08 EXT SPACE


The Imperial Super Star Destroyer Chimera is seen from a rear angle as smaller Star Destroyers pass it.


SC 09 EXT SPACE


The ship's underbelly can be seen as we see the Super Star Destroyer from below as more smaller Star Destroyers pass from an above view angle.


SC 10 INT CHIMERA-BRIDGE

The illustrious face of Grand Admiral Thrawn is seen as he is deep in thought, a calculating, calm look on his face. Behind him, to his right, a Noghri appears.

THRAWN: Report.

NOGHRI: I have done as you have ordered, Admiral. The Rebel dissenters on Chandrilla are dead. My hit squad was thorough -there were no survivors.

THRAWN: How many more adjacent Rebel Cells exist on Chandrilla.

NOGHRI: Our spy network count seven more. We are hunting them down as we speak.

THRAWN: Good. The Core Worlds are the last bastion of Rebel government that remains after the destruction of Hosnian Prime. The taking of the Core worlds by the Rebels and reelection of Mon Mothma as Rebel leader after the death of Leia Organa was a shocking development, even to me. When they sought peace with the Empire, we signed the Accords, which I always intended to break, as I did five months ago when I began my siege of the Outer Rim worlds with my fleet of Katana Dreadnoughts. Now the Mid-Rim Worlds are ripe for the pluck. Our forces are driving the enemy to distraction but the real target is Coruscant, our prize jewel. Take that, and the Rebels end.

NOGHRI: Noted. There are many other Rebel Cells scattered throughout the Galaxy. They shall be dealt with.

THRAWN: Between you, my Honor Guard and my Death Squads all Resistance to Imperial Authority shall be snuffed out.

VOICE FROM BEHIND THRAWN: ADMIRAL THRAWN!


THRAWN does not even turn to look.


THRAWN: What is it, C'baoth?

JORUUS C'BAOTH: Why do you not promote my Apprentice Luuke to Vice-Admiral and Lord of Imperial Forces, and involve him in your efforts to snuff out this insignificant Rebellion? (He almost spits out the term 'Rebellion).

THRAWN: There is no need for such a position in our forces. Our ranks are quite filled. You are sufficient for our purposes.

C'BAOTH: This is my Empire, not yours, Admiral! You are the one fulfilling my purposes. You are expendable. My Apprentice should have the position of Darth Vader or Kylo Ren. That is his right!


THRAWN: We shall take up this argument another time. Are due preparations made for our Sullustian assault?

C'BAOTH: (Through gritted teeth) They are prepared, Admiral. There are sufficient Clones for the operation to be a success with my guidance, and Clone Commander Klorriss' expertise.

THRAWN: (Steeples fingers) Splendid. Make the final preparations. Captain Pelleon.

PELLEON: Sir?

THRAWN: Alert all Katana Commands that our Operation starts in twenty minutes. Tell them to make all final preparations. Sullust will fall. Without it, our wider operations will fail.

PALLEON: Right away, Sir.

SC 11 INT. SULLUST-DINER-DAY

NIEN NUNB is having a cup of caff with POE DAMERON. D-0 and C-3P0 are by his side.

DIO: Detecting hostile transmissions from space Sector 7-G.

POE: Specify.

DIO: (Makes code transmission sounds).


C-3PO: This is certainly an Imperial code, Sir. We are being invaded.

POE: Damn! I knew those intelligence reports saying the Brentaal System was about to be invaded were phony! Sound the alarm.


SC 12 EXT SPACE


The planetary shield of Sullust starts to go up around the planet, but before it does, a Katana Dreadnought takes out two of the planetary shield's Orbital Generators.


SC 13 EXT HILLTOP IN SULLUSTIAN CITY-DAY


POE, NUNB, the DROIDS and SEVERAL OTHERS watch the sky ablaze as the Generators explode and the shield goes down. POE takes out macrobinoculars.

SC 14 SHOT OF MACROBINOCULARS' POV


A Dreadnought and two Super Star Destroyers, several smaller Star Destroyers and some Bulk Imperial Cruisers and Frigates are invading the planet. The Sullustian Defenders are making a counterattack, but are losing.

SC 15 EXT SPACE

Flying out of the exosphere, POE DAMERON, with a BLUE BB UNIT, BB-12, in his X-WING'S MECHANIC'S SEAT, joins the battle.

INT. POE'S X-WING-COCKPIT

(V.O): Commander Dameron, you are now our designated Parukit Leader.

POE: Parukit?

(V.O.): It's a Sullustian cultural thing.

POE: Oh. Alright boys and girls, follow me!

SC 16 EXT SPACE

As a unit, the Sullustian fighters all do a half-corkscrew maneuver with POE in the lead, and they follow him around and through enemy positions, courage renewed.
The Sullustian Cruisers and Frigates form a Perimeter around the fighters to protect them, as dogfighting ensues, POE emboldening the Sullustians, including Nien Nunb, to many acts of heroism and sacrifice. The Dreadnought AMBIVALENCE is taken out boldly by POE's X-WING and TWO SULLUSTIAN BOMBERS. One Cruiser does a Holdo Maneuver on a Super Star Destroyer.



SC 17 INT POE'S X-WING-COCKPIT

POE raises his eyebrows in shock.

POE: I didn't see that coming.

The remaining fighters do a pincer maneuver around the remaining Imperial ships, hemming them in on all sides. Soon, the Imperials are decimated. None remain. Just then, Imperial reinforcements arrive, in overwhelming numbers. Two Dreadnoughts, and seven Super Star Destroyers.

POE: We need to save our strength, and call retreat. They win this round.

The fighters, led by POE, go back down to the planet, many picked off along the way by the Katana Dreadnoughts. The Imperials begin their Invasion.

SC 18 EXT SULLUST

POE docks his X-WING with the Millenium Falcon and C-3PO, CHEWIE and FINN and POE board it.

SC 19 INT MILLENIUM FALCON

FINN: I'm thinking of becoming a Jedi.

POE: You? A Jedi. C'mon, I've heard of Sith Lords turning to the Light Side, but a Stormtrooper becoming a Jedi? What qualifications do you have?

FINN: I'm good with a lightsaber.

POE: Uh, last I checked, being good at swordplay doesn't make a man a Jedi. Force use, like Rey, or Rose, does.

FINN: Is Rose aboard this ship?

POE: Yeah, she's deep in her studies, though. I wouldn't disturb her.

FINN: I'm not you, am I?

SC 20

[truncated]

ROSE: So, interested in Jedi studies?

FINN: You bet I am. I want to learn the ways of the Force like you. I want to be a Jedi.

ROSE: (Pulls up a hoverchair beside her.) Sit. Read. I'll teach you what I know.

FINN: Really? Golly, thanks, Rose! This will be exciting.

ROSE: Heh, heh. A Jedi doesn't crave excitement. Or adventure. Not that those things don't happen, but we are at peace with god and the Universe, others and ourselves.

FINN: Are you at peace with those whose tails you're kicking?

ROSE: (Laughs) You can fight an enemy without hating it.

FINN: Teach me how. Can I have a Padawan Braid like yours?

ROSE: (Fingering her braid) Nope. You gotta earn it. Only certain people who show promise are selected by Masters and Knights as Padawan Learners. A Padawan like me can't take on a Padawan.

FINN: Oh. Can we spar later? I want to learn and practice saber techniques?

ROSE: Easy, big boy. Remember what I said about aggression. Study first. Then I'll teach you everything I know. I promise. But I cannot be your Master. If you ever become a Padawan, a good Master will train you further in the ways of the Force beyond what I can do. I see potential in you, Finn. you feel lively and full of colorful vibrancy and goodness in the Force. Just don't get ahead of yourself. Knowledge is the key to true power and self-mastery. And wisdom is the key that unlocks the potential for all your knowledge to be used to benefit others. Love is the key to Wisdom.

FINN: I think I understand. Well, I should do less talking and more reading. (He sits down beside ROSE)

POE: (V.O) This is your captain speaking. Strap in. We're making the jump to light speed.

ROSE and FINN lock down the books and other materials with magnetic CLAMPS and depress BUTTONS on their HOVERCHAIRS. Electronic ENERGY STRAPS strap over their waists and chests, crossing the CHAIRS.

 

SC 21 INT MILLENNIUM FALCON-COCKPIT


POE and CHEWIE are WATCHING through the FRONT WIND SCREEN as the STARS go into STARLINES and are replaced by the CAVE-I enhanced MOTTLED SKY of Hyperspace.

SC 22 EXT SPACE



A DIAGONAL WIPE cuts to a Star Destroyer, The Chimera, passing beneath us from the left, diagonally.



SC 23 EXT SPACE



The tip of the Chimera, then the whole ship, passes above us, from on the left. Some smaller Destroyers can be seen.


SC 24 INT-CHIMERA-BRIDGE

ADMIRAL THRAWN STANDS, in thought, looking pensive.



VOICE FROM BEHIND: Admiral Thrawn!



THRAWN: Yes, Captain.



PELLEAN: A large group of Rebel Ships is amassing near the Hapan Star Cluster. Our intelligence reports say they are tracking our fleet and planning on attacking us head on. I suggest we call for reinforcements.



THRAWN: If history serves us, and is any indication, Captain, I agree. Send for whomsoever you deem necessary. Meanwhile, alert all defenses. Shields at maximum. Tell all squadron pilots that this is no drill. If they want a pitched battle, they shall have one. I admire the tenacity of our enemy in taking the fight to us. But it shall not prevail. We have the upper hand.



SC 25 EXT SPACE



A LARGE REBEL FLEET BLASTS out of hyperspace and begins to harass the Imperial Destroyers surrounding the Chimera.



SC 26 INT POE DAMERON'S X-WING-COCKPIT



POE: We go for the head. We take out the Chimera, we take out Thrawn.



SC 27 EXT SPACE



Masses of Imperial TIE Fighters belch out of the Destroyers like mad hornets. Intense dogfighting is everywhere. POE does many heroic deeds. Many shots of BANTER between POE and BB-8, and many shots of Imperial pilots in their TIE cockpits lining up Rebel targets. A Squadron of Naboo N-1 Starfighters, with Ric Ollie in the lead, has joined the Republic fleet in battle.



SC 28 INT SPACE



A LARGE SUPER STAR DESTROYER arrives out of hyperspace with two additional Imperial fleets.



SC 29 INT SUPER STAR DESTROYER-BRIDGE


ADMIRAL OTTINGER: Prepare for our bomb-missile drop. On my mark. Target all Rebel ships.



SC 30 EXT SPACE


The SUPER STAR DESTROYER lets loose a volley of downward falling missiles which select many Rebel targets, incinerating cruiser, frigate and fighter alike.


SC 31 INT NIEN NUNB'S X-WING

NIEN NUNB: (Says something in Sullustian in surprise).

SC 32 INT RIC OLLIE'S N-1 STARFIGHTER-COCKPIT

RIC OLLIE reacts in surprised shock.



SC 33 INT POE'S X-WING-COCKPIT

POE: We're no match for that, Admiral! We need to call retreat!



SC 34 INT VICTOR'S ARM-BRIDGE


ADMIRAL ACKBAR: I couldn't agree more, Commander! What do you suggest? We're surrounded.



SC 35 INT POE'S X-WING-COCKPIT



POE: We do a loop-the loop and create an escape vector.



SC 36 INT VICTOR'S ARM-BRIDGE



ACKBAR: That has only been done successfully once in the history of space flight! But we have no choice, Commander! All ships, follow Poe's lead!



SC 37 EXT SPACE


All the Rebel ships together as a unit make a tight loop-the-loop, like the tying of a shoelace, until the pursuing enemy ships have an escape hole in their defenses, which the Rebels shoot out of through hyperspace.



SC 38 INT CHIMERA-BRIDGE



CAPTAIN PALLEON: I never thought I'd live to see that tactic employed successfully, Admiral.



THRAWN: It was a bittersweet victory on both sides.
They survived, but most of their ships were obliterated. Any guess at their next move, Captain?



PELLEAN: They see that direct assault does not work, so my guess is they'll go for our shipyards and try to halt our production, targeting Kuat and Bilbringi.





THRAWN: My thoughts exactly. We must lay our traps there. Your advice is most appreciated.



SC 39 INT CORUSCANT-REBEL HALL-ANTEROOM



BEN SOLO and REY are SPARRING, Ben's ORANGE CROSSGUARD BLADE crossing Rey's YELLOW BLADE furiously.



BEN: I wonder what's taking Finn so long to arrive for saber practice?



REY: I'm sure he's on his way, dear.



BEN: Well, he'd better hurry up, he's late.



Finn rushes in.



FINN: I was on a date with Rose. We planned it for weeks. When I remembered practice, I was like, Oh, man! I'm here. She said, we've been dating for ten years, were you ever getting around to marrying me? And right there, I proposed!



REY: (Smiles) That's great, Finn! Where's Rose?



ROSE: (V.O.) Right here!



BEN: Ok, youngling, grab a saber.



FINN walks over to the assortment of five lightsabers on the table and grabs one. He ignites it. A GREEN BLADE emits.



BEN: (laughs) I don't think you're quite ready for a blade like that, young one.



ROSE: (Hands him a blade) Here, try this one.



Finn ignites a blue blade.



BEN: Attack, Finn.



FINN and BEN spar for about half a minute, then REY, then ROSE join in, with them, and they are having fun, laughing as they spar.





SC 40 INT CHIMERA-MARTIAL ARTS ROOM



LUUKE and C'BAOTH practically try to kill each other as they intensely train with their sabers, employing every tactic, from lightning to spinning Luuke's double blade, to try to kill the other. It is brutal. THRAWN step in.



THRAWN: Am I interrupting anything here, Jedi C'Baoth?



They stop training.



C'BAOTH: No, nothing at all, Admiral. May I introduce my Apprentice, Luuke.



THRAWN: (perturbed) Who let him aboard this ship? On whose Authority is he here?



(V.O.): On mine, Admiral. I let him onboard.



THRAWN: Very well, Captain. Perhaps he can be useful to me. Luuke.



LUUKE: Yes, Admiral.



THRAWN: There's a certain Rebel Cell that I need dealt with, led by former First Order leader and traitor Kylo Ren and Rey, his wife. They are far too powerful for me to deal with, but not for you. I understand you have dealt with them before.



LUUKE: It's unfortunate. The Nog'hri inform me that the two were able to fight them off on Honoghr and escape them, then I tried finishing the job but they fled like cowards on an old vine-covered freighter. They shall not escape me again. This I can assure you.



THRAWN: Then it is true. If you can destroy this Rebel Cell, I may yet give you the Vice Admiralty of my fleet your Master desires for you.



LUUKE: I do admit such would not displease me, Admiral.



THRAWN: Then see to it. As for you, Master C'Baoth, we have important plans to make.



C'BAOTH: I know it, Admiral. You do not disappoint me. (To Luuke) We shall continue with our training.



Admiral Thrawn and Captain Pallean leave the room.



SC 41 INT IMPERIAL PALACE-CORUSCANT-QUARTERS-FINN'S QUARTERS-DAY



Finn is studying holos of Jedi teachings as he listens to classical-esque music. Suddenly, he hears an intercom buzz from his desk.



FINN: (Presses a button) Yes?



POE: We need you down to the Rebel Hall for an Intelligence Briefing.



FINN: I'll be there right away.



He gets up and heads out of his room.



SC 42 INT REBEL HALL-CORUSCANT-DAY



POE: We need intelligence on what the Imps are planning next. My guess is they may try to take Christophsis but we can't be sure. I need you two, Finn, Rose, to do a little recon. You two work well together. Go to Christophsis and find a man by the name of Ghent. He's a slicer, an expert code breaker. He can find out what the Imps are planning faster than any of us.

ROSE: What does he look like?


POE: (handing her a holodisc and activating it, revealing a holo of a red haired young man). He's a kid, barely an adult, but he's got more abilities at espionage than anyone I've met and a brain like a computer-he once memorized all 17 volumes of the Imperial Penal Code. He can slice into all Imperial channels and give us the intelligence we need. And since he happens to be on the very planet I think will be the Imperials' next target, we have plenty of advance warning if it actually is. Travel as refugees. No one can know of your mission. Got it?


FINN AND ROSE: Got it.



REY: Rose, you will have to travel without a lightsaber. If it is known you are a Jedi, they will not welcome you. There are a lot of anti-Republic sentiments on that planet. The government is New Republic, but the populace still largely favors the First Order. There will be spies everywhere. Go under assumed names.

ROSE: Yes, Master Rey.


FINN: This is going to be fun.

BEN: It could be very dangerous. Be careful and choose caution. May the Force be with you.

SC 43 EXT-SPACE AROUND CHRISTOPHSIS

A Star Destroyer looms over the planet.

It allows a normal traffic flow. Among those ships is a bus.

SC 44 EXT CHRISTOPHSIS-NIGHT

Rose and Finn ride a large lizard-like beast of burden down a city street. They pass a window that looks into a pet shop, an odd variety of exotic and ordinary looking pets on display.

SC 45 INT CHRISTOPHSIS-CANTINA-NIGHT

An assortment of strange aliens, including a big, wide, broad shouldered Wookiee, an active gameplay with dice, and a green-skinned Twi'lek dancing girl in a tube, are in view. Finn and Rose walk through the cantina.


ROSE: Do you think we'll find him here?

FINN: I hope. (Addresses a group of men, showing them the holo of Ghent): Have you seen this guy?

V.O.: Who wants to know?

Finn and Rose go over to him.


ROSE: We're with the Resistance.

GHENT: Prove it.


ROSE: (Shows him her new Rebellion Ring)

FINN: We need help slicing into an Imperial Intelligence Network.

GHENT: I can do it - for a price.

FINN: (Showing him credits) I can give you all the credits you need.

GHENT: Ok, I know where the place is, but its heavily guarded.

SC 46 EXT CHRISTOPHSIS-DAY

The THREE HUMANS, FINN, ROSE, and GHENT, ride the LIZARD down through the CITY STREETS. They come to a big building guarded by Reg Stormtroopers and First Order Troops. The THREE hide around a corner.

GHENT: So how do we get in?

FINN: I have an idea. We go up.

GHENT: Up?

FINN: To the roof of the building next to the Imperial one.

GHENT: Ok, works for me.

Rose smiles, and pats Finn on the shoulder.

SC 47 EXT ROOFTOP-CHRISTOPHSIS-DAY

A WHEELHOUSE is shown and the LIZARD with the THREE RIDERS BURSTS out of it and the LIZARD BEAST LEAPS far down onto the adjacent rooftop below.

GHENT: The Communications Tower I need to slice into should be on the top floor! Good thinking, guy. But how do we get in?

ROSE: We wait for some troops to come out, shoot them and walk in the door. Simple.

FINN: We could be waiting a while.

They dismount. Soon, the door to a rooftop stair opens, and two guards come out for a breather. ROSE, FINN and GHENT jump them, and they walk in the door.

 

SC 48 INT TOP FLOOR HALLWAY-IMPERIAL BUILDING-CHRISTOPHSIS-DAY

They sneak around and knock out about five guards, hiding their bodies. Then they enter a room.

SC 49 INT COMMUNICATIONS ROOM-IMPERIAL BUILDING-CHRISTOPHSIS-DAY

The guards are dispatched, Ghent slices into the cameras and erases the footage, then slices into the Communications Tower. ROSE and FINN monitor the Security Monitors. After about half a minute, ROSE looks alarmed.

ROSE: GHENT, we're going to have company!

GHENT: Just keep those Imps off me while I work!

Soon Imperial Troops enter the room and ROSE AND FINN start shooting, and GHENT occasionally gets off a shot.

ROSE: Hurry! We can't hold them off forever!

GHENT: This intel dump is big. I need another minute!

FINN: We don't HAVE a minute!

GHENT: Dammit, take the fight to them!

ROSE and FINN exit the room after FINN throws two frags, clearing the doorway into the HALLWAY.

SC 50 INT TOP FLOOR-HALLWAY-IMPERIAL BUILDING-CHRISTOPHSIS-DAY

FINN throws some frags down the hall. Some Stormtroopers are blown away.

FINN: Advance!

ROSE AND FINN jump over dead bodies and take a position outside a double sliding door.
FINN throws three frags deep into the next hallway. We hear the explosions.


ROSE: Advance!

They exit the next hallway, blasting away.

SC 51 INT TOP FLOOR-LARGE HALL-IMPERIAL BUILDING-CHRISTOPHSIS-DAY


ROSE and FINN engage in an all-out battle with stormtroopers. Rose is shot in the shoulder. Finn and Rose duck behind some BODIES and Finn gives her a stim in her left shoulder.

ROSE: I think I can still fight. For now.

The troopers are bottlenecked at three entry points, but are pouring out of a large wide hallway opening in front of them.

FINN: (Tosses a frag up, then catches it) Last frag.

ROSE: Make it count.

FINN tosses it at the entrance to the wide hall in front of them and it collapses.

ROSE: God, I love you, Finn!

FINN: I know, Rose.

GHENT rushes in.

GHENT: Let's get outta here!

They go to the stairwell. and climb up.

SC 52 EXT CHRISTOPHSIS-IMPERIAL BUILDING-ROOFTOP-DAY

The rooftop is empty.

FINN: The rooftop is empty!

ROSE: Guess they didn't think we'd make it this far.

GHENT: What I don't understand is how we're getting back up there (he points to the adjacent rooftop far above.)

ROSE: I can handle that.

GHENT: The hell- Whoa!

He is lifted up by Rose with the Force and placed on the other rooftop. Then Finn. Then Rose Force-leaps up to Finn and Ghent. Then ROSE looks at FINN and nods, and both extend their hands and together they lift the lizard beast up to where they are.

GHENT: You never told me you were Jedi!

ROSE: You didn't need to know. Now you know.

GHENT: Don't look now, but this isn't over, guys.

Three AT-ST Scout walkers pursue them. They mount their beast and race away, bounding from building rooftop to building rooftop, the AT-ST's barely missing them, as they fire at them. Then the AT-ST's reach dead ends, and the LIZARD BEAST and RIDERS get away.

ROSE: TIE!

FINN: It's a three-man fighter! We need to steal it! It's our ticket off this planet! Can you do it, Rose?

ROSE: DO WE HAVE A CHOICE?!

The TIE swoops low, firing, blasting the LIZARD BEAST out from under them. They LEAP onto the ROOFTOP. Rose Force-leaps onto the roof of the three-man TIE. She uses the Force to pop open the canopy, then shoots each pilot, and throws out their bodies. She gets in one of the pilot's seats.

ROSE: Get in!

They get in.

The TIE blasts into Hyperspace while yet in the atmosphere of CHRISTOPHSIS.

SC 53 EXT FARSHA IV-TEMPLE HANGAR-NIGHT

The battered old FREIGHTER touches down.
The HATCH opens. BEN, followed by REY step out.
KLON and LEERSA, two JEDI MASTERS, meet them.

KLON: Good to have you both back.

REY: Can you identify this ship?

KLON and LEERSA go aboard. REY and BEN follow. They are joined by BB-8 and R2-D2.

SC 54 INT FARSHA IV-INT FREIGHTER.

LEERSA: Interesting. High Republic Era. And what's this.

BEN: That big huge rock feels alive. It wasn't in the ship's hold before.

REY: He's feeling appreciated. I can tell. And he's smarter than he looks.

BEN: I feel he's indicating in the Force that he's good at ship Navigation, and weaponry. I feel he's indicating this is his ship now and he was afraid to come out at first. He seems to have felt forgotten for many years when his ship had gotten stranded on the Honoghr Moon.

KLON: Here. I have checked the ship's ancient logs with my special encryption key and the ship is the Vessel and this rock is named Geode.


A loud WHEEOOSH is heard outside.

SC 55 EXT FARSHA IV-TEMPLE HANGAR

KLON steps off the ramp. Another JEDI MASTER comes up to him.

KOPANANGO JORTO: Master Jedi, the TIE you see before you is transmitting a Resistance Code. Should we blast it out of the sky?


KLON: (Pauses, closes his eyes, thinks) No. Allow it to land.

 

SC 54 EXT FARSHA IV-NIGHT

The Tie Fighter Lands on its twin wings.

Jedi Masters KLON and LEERSA face the TIE with sabers drawn. The CANOPY POPS. Jedi Padawan ROSE, Jedi Youngling FINN and GHENT climb out.

KLON: Jedi Padawan Rose, and Finn, what a pleasant surprise. And who might you be young man?

GHENT: Ghent, at your service, and with whom do I have the pleasure of talking?

KLON: I am Jedi Grand Master Klon of the Jedi Order, and this is Jedi Grand Master Leersa. What brings you here tonight?

ROSE: There wasn't enough fuel to get us to Coruscant. We have important intel for the Resistance.

KLON: We will give you a transport for passage back to Coruscant. The Vessel.

GHENT: I've heard of that. The legends go way back.

KLON: You'll be travelling with Jedi Masters Ben and Rey Skywalker-Solo and a very special passenger, Geode.

GHENT: How soon can we leave.

KLON: We are calling a special session of the Jedi Council. You all three are invited to share what intel you can. Then you may leave for Coruscant.
