Starfest 07

Now that Starfest is less than three months away I was wondering if any individuals or groups that frequent this forum have anything planned or in the works for the con? I was also wondering how many of the forum members are planning on going this year?

I myself am looking forward to a great time. It's always fun to make the trip to Denver every year for it from the other side of the hill.

I don't know if I am getting a room or what costumes Iwill bring, if any

 

We'll be going. We probably won't be able to do as much as in earlier years with a new baby, but it'll still be fun.

As for planned stuff, I've heard whispers of secret projects that people are working on for C4, but that's really about it. I really doubt I'll have the time to finish any of my not-so-secret-but-probably-forgotten projects. LOL.

Same as last year, I'll be there as part of the guest line up for the horror programming.

(Kitty Book #3 is due out in April!)

 

I'm going for sure. I'll probably be going in one of my Jedi costumes.

I won't be able to make it to Starfest this year. I usually try to come out for the con, but this year I'm doing C4 instead, and unfortunately can't realistically do both.

I know Starland hasn't posted any info on any guests they have lined up which I hope they do real soon, but does anyone here know what the theme of this years con even is? I've heard it's going to be Star Wars for the 30th aniversary but I have also heard it may be SG-1 or Battlestar Galactica.

Just out of curiosity, who would everyone like to see as a guest? Personally, I'm open to anyone coming as long as it all makes for a good time.

I posted a suggestion to get the developers of the Stargate MMORPG on the Starland boards. Not sure how that went, though -- haven't checked back.

As far as "stars"...there's really nobody that I worship. That, and meeting someone in person for an autograph is only slightly less impersonal than just buying one off omgilovethispersonsautograph.com, ya know?

 

I was pretty much commanded by the twins to be there, so I guess we all know what that means.

slight update to the site. no guests, but it looks like it will be stargate themed.

 

If you're refering to the Stargate patch they are advertising on the same page the convention info will be, they've been advertising several types of patches there for the past few days that don't all have to do with Stargate. I don't think that means the theme is Stargate. Personally, I think it would be cool if it were several different themes instead of just one.

I will say that if it is in fact a Stargate theme I'd be perfectly fine with that. That's some good television watchin there.

 

Well. It looks like the con is leaning towards at least a partial Stargate theme. I just checked the message board at Starland and there is talk of a Stargate logo already having been designed for the con. It did mention though that the t-shirt will represent several genres. Coooooooll!!!!

As long as Star Wars falls somewhere in their. Thirty years of nothing less than a complete sci-fi phenomenon needs to be celebrated at the con. Especially for all us poor suckers who are going to be unable to attend C4 for whatever reason.

 

I'll be there and I have a little something in the works. I wouldn't mind putting together some sort of SG Atlantis outfit. I even have a Canadian patch I can contribute so I can be like Rodney.
