Hi all....This is my first time on this board and I want to show you my stormtrooper armour that I have scratch built.I have made my own forming machine and have almost completed the suit.Take a look at it so far. It's a full suit but I am doing a bit of tweaking tto the moulds to be a bit more movie accurate.Let me know what you think.

    Cheers..

    Paul.

Thanks for the comments.I've been messing with the moulds again all day and I'm almost ready to make another suit.I think this one should be really close to the original.I hope so,I;m getting a bit fed up 'tweaking' the moulds, but I want it to be the best fan made suit out there.I haven't cheated one bit with this,it's all my own handy work.I notice there are a few ladies here...do any of you have ST armour?Interested to know what costumes you all have.

    I?d buy that for a dollar! :)

The shoulder bits kinda poke out in a slightly odd manner, but that aside, it looks pretty damn authentic to me.

Me myself, I?ve always wanted a Jedi outfit. Unfortunately though the boots and belt alone would cost a small fortune. And as for those replica lightsabers... well, I think you?d be talking silly money.

You'll get there and the end result will be fantastic :D

I'm trying my hand at making a Zam Wessel costume... I'd LOVe to get some trooper armour to wear but sadly I'm only 5'2" ;)

    Hi dude WTTB
good job on the armour, the breast plate could do with more depth and the ass looks
a bit 'frumpy' and like PBJ said the shoulders look like somrthing joan collins would wear (joke)

I am one step ahead of y'all.I have already modified the chest,ab,cod, upper and lower back.Like I said earlier,it's trial and error,it might look good when you mould the piece, but when you actually wear it,it's not so good.I think the suit looks better when my brother wears it,he's a bit slimmer than me,I'm more stocky. And the shoulders are meant to stick out,it's an ROTJ style armour, maybe the strap could do with tightening a bit though.I got my sister in the suit the other week, and she is 5' 6",but she could hardly move. The suit could easily be trimmed down though.I'll keep you updated on progress.

    Paul.

I dunno if you are already a member but you might want to try the UK Garriosn guys for tips, there's no one here (that I know of) that actually owns a set of armour so you may be better off getting clearance to post on the UKG board as they would be able to give you far more detailed or appropriate tips than we could :)

UK Garrison board You have to have an Ezboard account to view the board though but that's easy to set up if you don't already have one!

Keep us updated though because as my name says I'm a HUGE trooper fan and would like to see your projects progress :D

Wow! You made that armor from scratch? Thats impressive! :)

I tried to make a Jedi costume for my cousin a while back but it didnt exactly turn out very well so we just scraped the idea. Im thinking of trying to do a rebel pilot one after christmas as a new project but Im not sure yet.

Well it only took them 3 months to get over finding out your name was really Mable, they could probably do with another target [face_mischief]

Did I tell you Yoshs REAL name is Bernard too... he lies about it being Joachim you know, he thinks that name makes him windswept and interesting :D
